• Multiple BSSIDs does not not on 1121G AP

  Hello

  I am trying to set up some 1121 G autonomous access points to play a couple of SSID - each SSID is in its own VIRTUAL LAN and it all works well when I don't use multiple BSSID.

  I got to the stage where I can see all 3 broadcast SSID but I can't connect to one of them.  An SSID is totally open, one is to use EAP, and the other is WPA/PSK.

  Any ideas why this could happen because I'm totally distraught now... back to Radio that only one SSID and all three SSIDS working again.

  I can post the config if it would help.

  Network ID must make with the help of a WLSM and tunnel traffic to the 6500.  If it doesn't work without the network ID, that's fine.

• Stand-alone 3502I without controller?

  I have a client with several former Aironet 1121 G from WAP.  In one place of the factory several big engine noise levels prevents a reliable connection to the WAP, even if it is located in the same room as users.  I mean updated the 1121G to the 3502I to take advantage of Clean Air technology.  This raises two questions:

  1) will be able to effectively manage the RF noise only 3502I or it requires a WAP network to work properly?

  (2) the 3502I requires the controller of CT2504 to clean at work, or it will run in stand-alone mode?

  NO. 802. 11A is high-speed, short-range radio.  802. 11b is long range and low speed and has 3 channels of Alcan.

  Unfortunately, if you have a noisy RF environment, putting a WLC (DCA, with active PTC) can help.  Without this, you need to constantly monitor each WAP and manually change the channels and Tx power.

  You are in a situation a little "who comes in first place, the chicken or the egg".  If you cannot afford to get a WLC with your solution, don't bother upgrading.  It's a waste of money.
