12 c CARS with Cloud control 12cR4

Hello

I am trying to add our test CAR for the control of cloud environment. I am facing problems with the listener of management objectives. I have 3 nodes in the cluster. The management database is running on node 2. Other 2 knots the listener of management are not started. Is this a normal behavior? The listener must also be started? After you start them manually, State control of cloud is not been updated, showing the audience down.

Trying to connect to the listener for the control of cloud, I get the following message:

Credentials of the host does not match the owner of the oracle listener House. Please provide the credentials of the owner oracle listener host.

If I test the connection with my saved credentials, the test is successful. The problem comes when I need to connect.

If you have experience with these issues please share!

Thank you!

Hi Dumic,

In regard to the error "Host Credential does not match with the owner of the oracle listener House. Please indicate the credentials of the host of the house owner oracle listening port", I saw a similar question which was fixed by the upgrade of the dbplugin to 12.1.0.7

Kind regards

  • How inegrate OID with OEM 12 c Cloud Control

    Hi all

    Is someone can you please tell me how I can integrate OID with OEM 12 c Cloud Control. As we integrate our OID with weblogic administration console, is it possible to integrate the control of cloud OEM with OID?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    Please find the URL below:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/security.htm#BABGAGIJ

    Following article will provide you with information related to the integration of the OID:

    13.2.5 oracle Internet Directory (OID)

    You can implement an OID authentication scheme have Enterprise Manager to authenticate users against the OID.

    The emctl config auth oid on the WHO command creates an OracleInternetDirectoryAuthenticator type WebLogic authentication provider that uses the configuration specified by the command parameter values. All the configuration values specified not retain the default values. Tuning and modification of the OID advanced configuration settings is performed through the Console of Administration WebLogic Server and not the emctl config oid auth command.

    Prerequisites

    LDAP Directory Internet Oracle server is turned on.

    Run the oid emctl config auth on each SGD command.

    emctl config auth oid-ldap_host - - ldap_principal ldap_port [-ldap_credential ] [-sysman_pwd ] - user_base_dn - group_base_dn
    where:

    ldap_host: LDAP host name

    ldap_port: the LDAP port

    ldap_principal: the unique name (DN) of the user LDAP of the WebLogic Server should use to connect to the LDAP server.

    ldap_credential: password for the user specified by ldap_principal.

    user_base_dn: the basis of unique name (DN of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains the users).

    group_base_dn - the base distinguished name (DN of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains the groups).

    Example:

    emctl config auth oid-ldap_host "ldaphost" - ldap_port "3060-" ldap_principal "cn = sleep" - user_base_dn "cn = users, dc = us, dc = oracle, dc = com" - group_base_dn "cn = groups, dc = us, dc = oracle, dc = com" - ldap_credential "my_ldap_password" - sysman_pwd "my_sysman_password".
    Stop the SGD.

    emctl stop who-all

    Restart the SGD.

    emctl start SGD

    Note:
    For deployments of Enterprise Manager in several instances of the WHO, emctl config auth oid must be run on each SGD. Each MSO must be restarted so that the changes take effect.
    Test the Configuration of OIDS

    Use the WebLogic Server Console of Administration (tab users and groups) to check if the configuration of the OID is successful. To access this tab, select Home/summary of Security Realms/myrealm/users and groups. Tab users and groups, you will see the users and the groups showing the OID.

  • Change the settings of catalog of recovery for all DBs in EM Cloud control 12 c

    Hello

    A project to migrate our RMAN recovery catalog (11.2.0.3 database) to the CAR, I need to update the Manager of the company with the new catalog of recovery settings. So far I couldn't find how to change it for each database individually, which will be your time to 40 + databases! I found this doc metalink [Doc ID 840051.1] on how to do it in the EM grid control, but don't find anything on how to do this for Cloud control 12 c.

    Does anyone know how to do this? Pointers would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Robin

    Hi Robin,

    This should also work for Cloud control 12 c.

    -Go to the homepage of the EM.

    -In the target tab click on databases.

    -In availability tab click 'Catalogues of recovery. "

    -Edit and modify data

  • Cloud Control 12 c

    Hi all

    I use Oracle Cloud control 12R5 and I need help with corrective measures.

    Q: I need to run a script that is located in the machine that hosts the control of cloud and not the objective that the incident occurred. Is it possible to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    You can not.  Your choice is, distribute the script for all servers and run via the single command in the corrective action.  Or, put the script in the corrective action so that everybody calls him together, instead of a single cmd call a script.

  • Cloud control rule waiting/pause prior to the notification of incidents connection rule

    Can I set up a cloud Incident control waiting, maybe 10 seconds, before rule of triggereing a connection failure / inaccessible? We sometimes have errors of transient connection to monitored hosts, and I get inaccessible agent and other errors, which are erased a few seconds later. I therefore really Cloud Control to pause and try again before you trigger the rule.

    There is probably a way to run an external script, but if it is possible to do with CC, it would be preferable.

    Cloud Control 12.1.0.3.0

    Hi Duncan,.

    In MS 12 c, you create a rule to send a notification and/or to create an incident once opened an event for a specified period of incident. See this blog for an example.

    Related doc (see 3.4.8.7 with a time delay):

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/incident_mgmt.htm#EMADM12122

  • How to create an incident rule to control of the 12 c Cloud Control alerts log errors

    I have a feeling it will be blinding in retrospect. I have 12 c Cloud control effective against a dozen guests and many DBs I have a rule defined for a database Instance that contains many points of interest - such as FRA filling. I chose each alert metric to see with the alerts log, including 'Generic Alert Log Error'. But I get error messages that appear in the alert log, as ORA-10173.

    Also, is there somewhere in the doco, or a data dictionary view, I can list all the parameters available?

    Thanks, helped these docs. It seems that Oracle has replaced generic monitoring with specific elements of monitoring, but it lacks some interested. However, the doc shows how this can be turned on again. Shame that it's hidden.

  • OEM recommended 12 c Cloud Control Monitoring

    Hi all

    We are in the deployment process of models in OEM 12 c (version 4) for, among other things, CRM, BRM, DPOS, OSM, UIM, WCC, BEEP and FMW of surveillance.

    Is it perhaps all best practice documentation out there for what to monitor for each component? My apologies if my terminology is not quite to the height, I don't have much experience with OEM other than monitoring of databases with tools out-the-box, but I understand that there is no so-called management packs for most, if not all of the above, and that the installed agents will likely include things like CPU usage , memory and disk etc, but I am concerned about something else, that we might need to monitor.

    If there is some kind of guide to application of control specifically for each of these items, I think this should help me tremendously.

    Thanks in advance.

    There are certified/recommended models available for many objectives in the company-> monitor-> oversight models.  For example, Ebs, SOA, etc.   I suggest you look at those to begin with.  For DB, Cluster, RAC, etc. recommended are the default settings, so you can create a model of these default values by going to oversight as models above, select Create, and then select the option to create of target Type.  This will allow a drop-down list to select category (database) and then target type (for example database Instance).  Then all the metrics available db will be responsible, with departure recommended thresholds.  Of course, every company has different indicators or thresholds, so there is not 1 correct answer, but it's a good starting point.

    Key points to remember-

    -default incident rule provided by oracle takes no action on warning events

    -recommend create as on rule Inc. and create your own you can adjust/edit, and then clear out of box

    -If you get too many alerts/emails, adjust thresholds or remove thresholds to stop completely to the supervision of models

    -only to set thresholds for the items you will actually act on

    -use reports for others

  • Installation Cloud Control agent 12 c on other blades thru RPM file and answer sets name of the bad cluster

    Hello

    I hope someone can help me with this. We have installed Cloud control 12 c em and its agents on various machines.

    First, we conducted with the target part two nodes of a network Infra cluster (let's call it proclu_1). Operating system is RH6.

    Then, using the same method (1 / y yum install /tmp/oracle-agt-12.1.0.3.0-1.0.x86_64.rpm then)

    2 / /etc/init.d/oracle-agt RESPONSE_FILE=/usr/lib/oracle/agent/agent.properties) we have installed the agent on the other 2

    blades that are part of another cluster (proclu_2). The agent.properties file that precedes contained only the usual key-value lines:

    OMS_HOST = omsmachine.stuff.be

    OMS_PORT = 4889

    AGENT_REGISTRATION_PASSWORD = ametemp

    AGENT_USERNAME = oracle

    AGENT_GROUP = oinstall

    AGENT_PORT = 3873

    ORACLE_HOSTNAME = promachine.stuff.be

    Now, if I change to the/usr/lib/oracle/agent dir and search for the name "proclu *" from there, I found the name of the

    First install (on the first cluster of proclu_1):

    [oracle@bladb0406 officer] $ pwd

    / usr/lib/Oracle

    [oracle@bladb0406 oracle] $ find. -name "proclu_1."

    ./agent/agent_inst/SYSMAN/EMD/State/has/proclu2/cluster/proclu

    ./agent/agent_inst/SYSMAN/EMD/State/configstate/cluster/proclu_1

    ./agent/agent_inst/SYSMAN/EMD/State/statemgmt/cluster/proclu_1

    ./agent/agent_inst/SYSMAN/log/targets/cluster/proclu_1

    My questions:

    1 / the first two nodes (blada0204 & blada0406) in our first group this 'find' send him back

    same directory names with "proclu_1", this is what we expected: where to look for the agt oracle script

    our cluster name?

    2 / why he put the name of 'proclu_1' even - and evil - on our other two nodes (bladb0204 & bladb0406)?

    (us have expected 'proclu_2'...)

    Is there a way to fix this, or should I reinstall the agent (after you set/change something somewhere

    While it contains the name of the correct cluster...) ??

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    SEB

    Unfortunately, this goes back to the RAC install procedures.   Check the name of the cluster for each cluster.   If they are all the same, installed, then you will need to manually discover/change name when you promote so that your clusters are unique in EM.

    To verify the name together for clusterware installation:

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control is broken after a reboot

    People,

    I use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3.  It was all work until we rebooted the box.

    Now, nothing is listening on the port 7801 more (by netstat), but if I put port 7302 instead in the browser's address bar, it'll take me actually to the OEM login page.  Once I'm connected, many things show that there are problems with communication between WHO and the agents.

    The shutdown process was not very successful and cleaning, shown below.  There was a lot of java still running process that I had to kill.

    Management Server Oracle is in place

    This seems like a simple question, because we didn't change anything except adding memory to the box and restart.

    Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?  Is there any solution to this?

    Brian

    Brian,

    Can you access the console on https://oraaux1:7801 / em now?

    And, you are able to start the agent by running $AGENT_HOME/bin/emctl status agent?

    Regarding your initial post, is also the repository on the same host? If so, the problem could be due to the repository database was not entirely upwards when WHO launched on the reboot of the host system (gcstartup) startup script.

    When the SGC does not work as expected, you can take a look at SGD/monitoring of log files for clues. If necessary, please see:
