How inegrate OID with OEM 12 c Cloud Control

Hi all

Is someone can you please tell me how I can integrate OID with OEM 12 c Cloud Control. As we integrate our OID with weblogic administration console, is it possible to integrate the control of cloud OEM with OID?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Please find the URL below:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/security.htm#BABGAGIJ

Following article will provide you with information related to the integration of the OID:

13.2.5 oracle Internet Directory (OID)

You can implement an OID authentication scheme have Enterprise Manager to authenticate users against the OID.

The emctl config auth oid on the WHO command creates an OracleInternetDirectoryAuthenticator type WebLogic authentication provider that uses the configuration specified by the command parameter values. All the configuration values specified not retain the default values. Tuning and modification of the OID advanced configuration settings is performed through the Console of Administration WebLogic Server and not the emctl config oid auth command.

Prerequisites

LDAP Directory Internet Oracle server is turned on.

Run the oid emctl config auth on each SGD command.

emctl config auth oid-ldap_host - - ldap_principal ldap_port [-ldap_credential ] [-sysman_pwd ] - user_base_dn - group_base_dn
where:

ldap_host: LDAP host name

ldap_port: the LDAP port

ldap_principal: the unique name (DN) of the user LDAP of the WebLogic Server should use to connect to the LDAP server.

ldap_credential: password for the user specified by ldap_principal.

user_base_dn: the basis of unique name (DN of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains the users).

group_base_dn - the base distinguished name (DN of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains the groups).

Example:

emctl config auth oid-ldap_host "ldaphost" - ldap_port "3060-" ldap_principal "cn = sleep" - user_base_dn "cn = users, dc = us, dc = oracle, dc = com" - group_base_dn "cn = groups, dc = us, dc = oracle, dc = com" - ldap_credential "my_ldap_password" - sysman_pwd "my_sysman_password".
Stop the SGD.

emctl stop who-all

Restart the SGD.

emctl start SGD

Note:
For deployments of Enterprise Manager in several instances of the WHO, emctl config auth oid must be run on each SGD. Each MSO must be restarted so that the changes take effect.
Test the Configuration of OIDS

Use the WebLogic Server Console of Administration (tab users and groups) to check if the configuration of the OID is successful. To access this tab, select Home/summary of Security Realms/myrealm/users and groups. Tab users and groups, you will see the users and the groups showing the OID.

Best regards
Vincent

  • Re-setup of PC, how to deal with the installation of cloud

Hi, I need to re - install my Lenovo WS (WIN8.1). At the time of avant-nuage, I had simply disable my Adobe software and reactivate after installation of operating system. How it works with my apps of cloud? What is the process today?

Given that it is more or less a common problem that I was looking for a database of standard support entry, but I was not able to find something to help.

    Thank you

    Sven

It is easier.  You can disconnect before wiping your pc, but you don't need to.  with cc, you can even log out of the old 'dead' computers using a new computer.

Just do whatever you need to do and when you are ready to install cc, start downloading an app of cc (after signing with your adobe of subscriber id) and will install the desktop application, https://creative.adobe.com/

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control is broken after a reboot

    People,

I use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3.  It was all work until we rebooted the box.

Now, nothing is listening on the port 7801 more (by netstat), but if I put port 7302 instead in the browser's address bar, it'll take me actually to the OEM login page.  Once I'm connected, many things show that there are problems with communication between WHO and the agents.

The shutdown process was not very successful and cleaning, shown below.  There was a lot of java still running process that I had to kill.

    From Oracle Management Server...

    Departure WebTier...

    WebTier started successfully

    Oracle Management Server started successfully

Management Server Oracle is in place

This seems like a simple question, because we didn't change anything except adding memory to the box and restart.

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?  Is there any solution to this?

    Brian

    Brian,

Can you access the console on https://oraaux1:7801 / em now?

And, you are able to start the agent by running $AGENT_HOME/bin/emctl status agent?

Regarding your initial post, is also the repository on the same host? If so, the problem could be due to the repository database was not entirely upwards when WHO launched on the reboot of the host system (gcstartup) startup script.

When the SGC does not work as expected, you can take a look at SGD/monitoring of log files for clues. If necessary, please see:

  • Handling exceptions in OEM 12 c Cloud Control

    Hi all

It is mentioned in the Documents of Oracle exception management is a part of management functionality of commercial transactions that can not realized by activation of SOA management pack EE on the target, which provides in turn alert transaction and research to locate the errors and exceptions in transactions that span several components of the application.

But then can you please tell me how can I achieve this? This means that the configuration (except the will of management soa) is required for the management of this exception and how can I do this OEM. I'm not able to find a good document that explains the exception management in control of cloud 12 c OEM.

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance!

Business transaction management (BTM) 12 c is a license with SOA: Enterprise Edition as well as WLS Mgmt Pack pack, the management pack for non-oracle middleware. So, if you have SOA Mgmt Pack EA, then you are already licensed for BTM 12 c.

You must download BTM12c (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/downloads/btw-downloads-207704.html) and then you must install it (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/install.121/e37016/toc.htm). Once installation is complete, you will need to send traffic through your target managed, where you would have already deployed observers BTM (Ref. installation guide). Once the traffic will be sent, your services will get discovered and then you will need create transactions (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e37014/transactions.htm#sthref186) you can monitor. As part of the creation of the transaction, you can enable logging on the transaction, and once this is done, you will be able to search and to manage exceptions by monitoring your transactions.

  • How to "Wisely" lock Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c Release 4 (12.1.0.4)

    Hello guys.

I have a situation where non-technical people "was" and "are" using GRID control to kill session they "think" are originally from the problems of performance based only on the actual color of the moving window of Performance.

When I was told this, I got a feeling very sick in my stomach and said to this person that they are VERY lucky they have not corrupted in the database of PROD AGAIN!

    First Question:

How to recognize these people who kill sessions they run the RISK completely hose PROD and could experienced LOSS OF DATA REAL if something goes wrong.

    Second Question:

Because I'm just sur-monte to this place, should I wait a little before the implementation of new safety standards and to run the risk of harming someone ego?

    Please advise,

    Thank you

    Lady Allora...

The permissions to kill sessions are not provided by Enterprise Manager. EM is just the application they use to do this. They might also kill sessions with SQL * Plus, SQL Developer, or anything else. In EM, they authenticate to the database with an account. It is this database account that offers their privileges to perform this action. The appropriate security controls must be handled in the database.

When I was a new kid in a business, the first thing I did was examine and test backup and restore procedures. The second thing I did was to make my own security audit of the database. I found a lot of articles where I felt that the security of the database was in jeopardy. You have found an item and it is likely that you'll find much more of these elements. I recorded all the elements found in a spreadsheet and ranked in order of importance to fix. I then had a discussion with my directors on my security results. We went through the items one by one and discusses why it is important to clean up this line item. This gave me an action plan which has been approved by the management in the future. In many cases, I had to define corporate policies and create new processes. Those who once could make ActionX in the database still needed to do their job when I revoked their ability to do so. These people would need something new in place to help resolve or manage anything ever ActionX for them.

    See you soon,.

  • OEM 12 c Cloud Control: two agents on the same host.

    Hello

I'm migrating to OEM 12 c (12.1.0.3.5). I built a completely new and repository management and the plan is to move a selection of objectives to this new SGO of the old system.

On a target is host (Redhat Linux 6) possible to install a second agent configured to load on the new OMS, while leaving the original agent facing up and running? It would be only temporary, and the original agent would stop after the target had been discovered and configured in the new OMS.

Is it possible to run two agents simultaneously on a single host?

    Thank you

It is not recommended to run 2 versions of EM agents for a period of time, but it is possible.  Things to monitor and test:

    • port must be unique - if 11g use 3872, so you'll need to choose something else for 12 c
    • installation location must be unique
    • DB generated alerts (for example the tablespace) are actually stored in the Pb, then there may be an inconsistency between the 2 and the db if you start to change the thresholds, while the two officers are on the rise and running

Yet once, it is not recommended as a best practice because of the problems of threshold, so plan to 11 g stop agent as soon as possible.

Here, I have a few questions.

    (1) if my weblogic is down, why my CC OEM works great and all alerts are coming? What is the reason that we have weblogic on our OEM Cloud control, which is a prerequisite to install CC OEM? What is the purpose of this weblogic moving downwards as you can see above the alert. What happens if I don't start the weblogic?

    (2) how to start the weblogic (HTTP). Do I need a name of user and password to start this?

    (3) what is the sequence to start OEM CC after rebooting a server (DB->->-> agent WHO Weblogic) is this correct order?

    Thank you

    (1) start by checking if the WebTier really down. See the instructions in the following MOS note:

EM 12: status of Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.2 command displays the WebTier Cloud is down even if the WHO's and Running (Doc ID 1561468.1)

Note: If the version of your WebTier (Oracle HTTP Server) is 11.1.1.6, it is recommended that you apply the patch 13490778 to avoid false alerts on Oracle HTTP server (status).

    (2) the OPINION score above includes instructions to start the Oracle HTTP Server (e.g. ohs1) with the command opmnctl. Also, when you run the command "emctl start who", the WebTier will be launched before the WHO. Thus, if restarting of the WHO is not a problem, you can run ' emctl who all stop "to stop all processes including the WebTier WHO, then run"emctl start CMS"to restart as well AS of the WebTier.

    (3) see the following doc for instructions on starting the components of EM12c:

Start and stop of the Enterprise Manager components

By default, the WHO and the agent are started automatically at startup of the host.

    I hope this helps.
