17 t-n100: 17 t-n100 M.2 N0U68AV compatibility.

I just got a 17 t-n100. I see that it has a port of m2 on the motherboard. I can't find anything that tells me factor form or compatibility for the m2 on this laptop. I would buy a SAmsung 950 pro, but I can't tell if it's compatible.  I had a 15 t, and it's manual told me that the compatibility of all, as the RAM for example. Not from what I can find. If anyone can, please tell me this information.

Thank you.

  • SMP-N100 expanded DLNA video format offering?

Looking at other posts, I would assume that SONY will not provide response or update of this post but here goes.

Sony has any intention to expand the types of video formats, the SMP-N100 can play via DLNA? Not very well why the offering by the USB bus is more robust than on the DLNA. I know that the technology is there to support a complementary offer. I have a library of movies .mp4 on a NAS that can not be read. The only solution is to have my Windows Vista box as a DLNA media server certificate by using a third-party transcoder software to convert MPEG2 files to play. Would be nice if the SMP-N100 could be pushed to an update of the firmware that would play as .mp4 files in their native format. It would be great.

I think, however, is that you have all opt to produce a new multimedia player that has the ability to expand and force consumers to buy this product vs pushing an upgrade. Oh that's just the pessimistic side of out me. Wonder if Sony is going to prove me wrong.

    Hello MatthewB,

Sony wants to add this feature (MP4 via DLNA) for the SMP-N100, too? As they did for the SMP-N200 or will I haver to buy the SMP-N200 to get this new piece of software?

Thanks in advance for your reply and happy new year from the Germany!

I recently ordered this ssd sata m2 of amazon, but I'm not sure its compatible with my system - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TGIW1XG?psc=1 & redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00.

Its a Samsung 850 500 GB M.2 3.5 inch SSD Form Factor 80nm.  Can I use in a configuration to double for my laptop with the current 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive already in the system?  Or do I have to use one or the other?  Or can I select a smaller SSD storage for a double configuration?  I have to talk to a technician and he said my system does not support a 128 GB ssd and it did not indicate if it is a double or a single disk configuration.  In my view, it is difficult to imaging a new desire to 2015 with an i7 Quad Core skylake 6700HQ processor supports only a meagre 128 GB SSD.  Any ideas on what my system can support?

I can verify that it works very well. I had HP technology insist that I could use only one hard disk and a maximum capacity of 128 GB. The technicians don't know squat. I use now a configuration double with the operating system and my programs on my 850 m2 sata evo III 500 GB SSD and my data (videos, music and photos) files on the preinstalled 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive.

  • Error PXE 3000 N100, does not start BIOS

    Hello people,

I recently picked up some laptop second hand and projects for free time and learn a little more. One of them is a Lenovo 3000 N100. I'm not sure of the exact model as the COA sticker is worn. The laptop came without RAM, a hard drive or battery! I am aware that this may be more effort than its worth, but wanted to give it a go...

With RAM installed, shows the white startup Lenovo screen (sometimes quickly, sometimes takes forever) - if I press ESC, then the following information is displayed:

Unknown project ID! BIOS version? 61ET32WW

    CPU = Intel (R) Celeron (R) M CPU 410 @ 1.46 GHz

    1023 M system RAM passed

    1024K Cache SRAM Passes

    System BIOS with a shadow

    Video BIOS with a shadow

    CD ROM...

    Initialized the mouse

Pressing F1 or F12 does nothing.

The following errors are then displayed, which Google I see is a common problem. However, I can't find a fix that applies to me.

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

PXE:MOF: get out the PXE ROM

    Operating system not found.

From what I see online, the portable computer tries to boot from a network/LAN. I tried a XP boot CD with no joy.

I can't access BIOS to change boot priority.

The RAM seems to work judging by the messages above?

I tried to put in a blank disk and remove it (tested with novatech adapter USB SATA, HDD seems to work well).

Is my next option to reset the CMOS battery? I should add that on the first screen, I received at the start of error codes 0271 and 0251 regarding the date system and time and CMOS checksum bad, but after leaving the laptop plugged in all night, they make their appearance is no longer.

No wonder that BIOS was confusing - it turns out that F1 and F12 are dead keys, and one of the Ctrl keys (I used an online keyboard controller to test). Access key for the BIOS and to the startup list both did not work. I managed to access BIOS by using a USB keyboard. I think I'll try reinstalling the keyboard first, if this does not work, have a go at a personal key, and if it works no - one second hand keyboard. BIOS is not the latest version, but I guess that there is not a huge need to update?

XP is installed for now, because I don't have spare keys Windows 7. I have a few modules of 2 GB of RAM, so it will move to the 3 GB maximum. Then decide to keep or not! I have a Z60M I prefer, so that this one will probably get donated or sold. Just a shame the RAM is so limited on them.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 drivers?

I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 (0768-2CU) and I can't seem to find the drivers here... My model does not show in the selection of the drop-down list under drivers & downloads.

If found the drivers for the N200, but I the N100.

Anyone know where I could find them?

Good day and welcome to the community.

Please visit the pilot EOL site: http://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html

Once you make your selections in the three drop-down menus, you should be presented with your driver registration.

    I hope this helps.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100

Trying to find the drivers for lenovo 3000 n100, but for some reason, this laptop model is not on the support page. Where can I get the drivers for this laptop? He was there all the time.

I tried the version of the n200 drivers and some drivers work but the camera driver does not work with him and the wireless driver is not working properly with him.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As you have seen, the support site has been redesigned. For your old model, please visit:

http://download.Lenovo.com/express/ and select matrix driver in the top left section.

On the resulting page, choose laptops & tablets, Lenovo N Series and Lenovo N100 in three drop-down menus, respectively.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.

  • Upgradeing the graphics card on the 3000 N100

I wonder if its possible to improve the graphics of cards for my Lenovo 3000 N100. I play Eve Online and would like to be able to upgrade to high-end graphics. In addition, I was told that I need to reload my OS about every 3 months on my laptop. Is this true? I run the windows vista that came with the laptop and have had no problems with it. If I need to do I'll do it. I don't know if it of true or not. And when it comes to computers, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Laughing out loud! Not even close to him. So any advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time and your help.

Usually (95% I have met) laptops are not expandable with video card. You can replace the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE and even some cards such as WiFi Bluetooth &, but not video. It's empty because design radiator different in different models and also other modules in sizes, while the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE have their standards, which facilitates the replacement.

With regard to the operating system:
No problem for to reinstall me an OS as I do for others twice a week usually. So I have something to say here. While using a system that is getting filled with garbage. More applications that you install - waste more you. Corrupt registry, temporary files are collected... No need to reinstall until your system is entirely online.
    So.
Simply clean from time to time of the folders temp (running %tmp% and %Temp% to display your temporary folders), check your system of CCleaner for garbage and used Ashampoo Uninstaller corrupted registry and (if you want). This program is extremely useful. It analyses the system prior to installation and after. Is a newspaper. Then simply uninstall you it by Ashampoo - everything is deleted. All the registry keys (including hidden for trial and shareware progs) and all af you uninstall this app. You keep your system as clean as it possible - as if it was the first execution of Windows. Infested with only worrying about me - never tried Vista.

  • HP Envy 17 t-n100 CTO: my usable laptop Samsung 950 Series PCIe x 4 Pro (Gen 3), NVMe as boot drive?

Just bought HP Envy 17 ", 17 t-n100. Originally, it is equipped with a 512 GB SSD, the m2, the sata3. I want to update Samsung SSD 950 Pro Series, 256 GB, PCIe NVM, m2 and use it as a boot drive. Is it possible for this laptop?

    * In terms of hardware, this laptop computer motherboard does support SSD PCIe and NVMe (physically and electrically)?

    * How about this laptop Bios, support NVMe? I know that win10 supports NVMe, but what the BIOS?

Appreciate the answers to these questions

The BIOS is not the issue. It also has to do with the material. And do you seriously change the BIOS is a viable option? The BIOS is exceptionally hardened against hacking efforts. Very few succeeded. A lot of effort have been made to the number of white list of wifi and very, very little success by very serious coders, which most of us is not.

HP makes now several models that use NVME m2 disks but they are for most business models. I have one in my G3 from 15 Zbook I added and my 'world of the thinner' spectrum 13 was one of the factory. I tried upgrading my laptop SATA m2 (a Lenovo Carbon X 1) used prior and he is not, and this is the result which has been reported here with similar models of HP.

  • N100 video Card driver for Windows 7

    Hi all

I recently installed windows 7 on my computer laptop lenovo 3000 N100. but

I can't find the driver for the video card to install it. For now, the display is not very good and I have to install the driver for the video card.

I tried a lot of drivers for windows vista but did not work.

    Any help?

    Thanks in advance

    Mina

Sorry, I missed the fact that you are using Win 7.
Lenovo does not provide a driver Win 7 for N100.

    It's Intel or Nvidia?
If Intel, try an Intel driver supports.
For Nvidia, a driver from Nvidia may or may not work.

But a Vista driver may work properly if you run the Setup program
program administrator and Vista compatibility mode.

Right-click the configuration and choose Properties. Compatibility.

That's what I would try. Uninstall the driver first.

  • Envy 17 t N100 CTO: go win 10 to 1 TB of HARD drive to new SSD

    Hello

I just bought a N100 Envy 17 t. CTO notebook I need to installed Windows 10 of 1 TB of newly installed SSD HARD drive.

The SDS will be for OS and 1 TB of storage can I transfer or need to win 10 disc. The make or create recovery disk disk of 1 TB of HARD drive?

I win 10 portable old upgradeon but the disk is full.

    Thanks John

I would use minitool partition manager to clone the disk partition & 100 MB windows C if your installation.

Works well in general & used for this task a lot. Use the partiton options rather than SSD clone will enable driving a complete copy of all of the source to the target SSD. Don't delete anything since! TB until what you tested SSD clone A1.

I'm Manager of minitool partition on a usb drive boot as a practical tool great & free tools menu

  • Envy 17 t N100 CTO: HPservice.exe

    Hello

One wonders about this HPservice.exe file. Some sites claim the exe should not be there and it is a virus. I just got a new cell phone Envy 17 t n100 CTO with pre-installed Win 10. I just started loading software. System Mechanic it reported as dangerous and wants to remove it.

If it is a legitimate file HP should talk with SM and do it on a white list to stop the warnings.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you, John

    Hi John,.

I think that you will find the file is legitimate and related to the (HP 3D DriveGuard) HARD disk protection software, but you can check it as follows.

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, and select Task Manager.

If not already selected, click on more details in the lower left.

The process selected, tab click the 'Name' column header to reorder the processes in alphabetical order.

Right-click on the entry for HpService and select open file location.

This should open the System32 folder at the entrance of hpservice already highlighted.

This right click and select Properties.  Select the Details tab and you should see the name of the product listed as "Mobile Data Protection System" - there should also be a tab for Digital Signatures.  If this is the case, the process is owned by HP 3D DriveGuard and is a legitimate file.

    Kind regards

  • Bad Bios on the N100 update

    Hello

I have an old laptop lenovo n100, 1.66 dual core, 2 GB of ram. The problems started when I tried to install win 8 dev preview on this, because I'm pretty interested in coding, so the idea was to do it on that and use it as a test computer. When I went into the bios, the model number and uuid of the system were corrupted, and is showing some corrupt characters or simply f and e

I googled the problem and suggested he try to Flash the bios, now lenovo messages only a windows flashing the BIOS utility, so in my haste to solve the problem, I applied it, made sure it was running and left the House for a couple of hours. When I came back, the laptop had been frozen completely, I could not move the mouse, send any encoding or the command to the laptop, the screen froze at 18:07 - about five minutes after I left it - typical!

Since it froze, the 13/19, I thought that if she didn't drive reacts after 4 hours or more, there was no hope for her. Then I went to turn off the machine, he would not be turned off via the power button. Then I took the battery out of the machine, left outside for half a minute, then plugged back in and started the machine, that the portable computer tries to read the dvd that is in it for the moment, because it makes a noise and activity led lights up, but the screen does not display anything.

These laptops have a module fail safe in it, or any other means of attachment, or is it for scrap?

    Thanks in advance

If I understand your question now the display does not come.

It seems that the BIOS is not fully updated and it has been corrupted the BIOS program.

You can take the laptop to the service center for service.

  • Maximum hard drive size in the Lenovo 3000 N100

    I have Lenovo 3000 N100

It came with 100 GB hard drive 5400 RPM

What is the maximum hard disk that can be used. Is it possible to only 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

    Thanks for the answer

    Abraham

No, I'm this based on the Avenue of the planets. Kidding.

I base this experience with laptops cheaper and lower quality supporting better hard disks, processor, etc. etc.

Also the fact that some N100 configurations included a 250 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard drive. No reason why will not work a 7200 RPM drive.

We invite you to seek advice elsewhere.

  • to upgrade my N100

I have a Thinkpad R61i having exactly the same specification as your N100, but with 3 GB of ram. And when he runs Photoshop, it is not significantly slower than my Thinkpad T61p which have the best specifications. However, when I got my R61i he was a slow animal, so I have to reformat the whole machine with the recovery discs provided and installed only software (equivalent to Novo) Thinkvantage software. I think the CPU higher, you can get probably one of CPU T7300, but your neck of the bottle are not the CPU part. I'll go for the whole system, reinstall with your recovery media, and install only the software you need.

No matter what ram DDR 2 Kingston, Crucial, Hynix, G.Skill, Corsair will do, it's a question of adjustment in the price of the chip to your budget, performance wise these RAM should be similar.
