  I finished IZ0 - 007 before 2 years please let me know what is the next review so that I can go. I have 6 years epx in SQL/PL SQL.

  Hello! I have a question about the Oracle 10g admin 1 (1z0-042) Certification.
  
  I passed 1z0-007 SQL Oracle 9i in December 28, 2012.
  Now, I decided to complete tracks of OCP DBA in Oracle 10 g.

  The answer to your question is Yes.  1Z0-007 > 1z0-042 > (1z0-043 + training) = 10 g OCP

  There is no such thing as upgrading your credentials SQL Fundamentals.  They are marked by a release of the database only for the convenience of the OU.  I discuss here:

  1Z0 - 007 must always be the first review you...

  I would just like to say that the alternative SQL exam 1z0-051 is a review more modern and I am reasonably sure that the team that produced for it was intended to produce a review better with more relevant topics.

  1Z0-051 study also sets out probably more focus on the new ansi join syntax.

  So 1z0-051 is probably the best choice of review SQL for many people.

  It said that some will have reasons to go with 1z0 - 007; We can already have material for tha for example.

  Examination of SQL is first as previous poster said is IMHO the most judicious choice of decision for DBA/developer OCA/OCP candidates.

  I'm lost between the 1z0-147 and 1z0 - 052.

  Not really sure what you mean to ask. 1Z0-052 is DBA certification, 1Z0-144 is the PL/SQL certification:

  * 1Z0-052: Oracle Database 11g: Administration I *.
  * 1Z0-144: Oracle Database 11g: program with PL / SQL *.

  That said, when you enter the field, the point of studying for a certification is not because you already know what is being tested. The point is to use them to increase what you know on the issues addressed in the review. A DBA or an experienced developer can take specifically certifications as a way to validate for themselves, or their employers, they know the information. However, your post, an indication that you have given is that you don't have the knowledge to pass a test right now. Regardless of the path you choose, you will need to learn. That being the case, you need to decide which way you prefer - a personal desire to be a DBA vs a developer or from the point of view that you feel be in demand in your geographic area.

  Anyone with the ability to study and retain information can pass an exam. Any person who does not have the ability to study and retain information should not be in this area. There are areas where these capabilities are not necessary. Anyone can say "you want fries with that?

  Back to the beginning, then check reviews monitored is selected. Beware also the scroll bars to scroll through the exams that they sometimes confuse CMO!

  What is the best way to prepare for the exams? I have COMPLETE REFERENCE of SQL ORACLE 9i in hard form, is it enough for the preparation?

  If any book is 'enough' to pass a certification exam depends less on the book than on the person who reads it. If you've read the book AND you understand the information AND you can apply this understanding when you're sitting at the review, then it should be sufficient. If you skimmed through the book, read a large part of it, while half asleep, or you have forgotten the information of the first half well before the last chapter, so no book will suffice.

  The Oracle Press series tends to be a good source. I have not read this particular book, so I can't make a definitive statement. 1Z0-007 isn't a test particularly complex. I suggest reading through the topics of test in the education of Oracle for her site. Decide for yourself if you feel comfortable that all topics are ones that you acknowledge having read in the book and are comfortable with.

  Here is an article I wrote about the study of low-cost methods. It is primarily intended for applicants with no study material who may be tempted to use brain dumps because they can usually be found for free. However, you might find a useful idea in it.

• Retirement of 9i DBA OCA, OCP and associate and also 1z0-147 reviews

  This question was not asked for a while, I guess that means the numbers making the followig exams must decrease:
  
  1Z0-007, 1z0-031 1z0 - 032 1z0-033, 1z0-147
  
  I think that there is now a pretty good deal for these retired, assume that the course of the WDP for them ceased. Although vouchers may still be in existence.
  
  I would particularly like to see 1z0-007 and 1z0-147 retired with equivalent review much better and more modern 1z0-051 and 1z0-144 exist. IMHO these could probably be done on the normal noice 3 months.
  
  Although I think 1z0-031 might be ceasd to relatively short maturity, the 1z0-032 case having a longer period would be more useful, as people could be partially in an OCP DBA 9i and unable to complete within 3 months.
  
  IMHO, it would be preferable to remove the first 1z0 - 031, or give a retirement date extended for 1z0-032 and 1z0-033 of at least 6 months.
  
  I guess all this I would 1z0-007 and 1z0-147 retired. IMHO they should have put grass long ago.

Wanted to know if yes or no there is no delay from the day to the first review of the OCA within which I should give the second review? I want to say that I gave the test on January 27, 2011! Within the date to which I gave the second review or are there any restrictions?

  There is no restriction. The only restriction that you may face is if the 147 review expires. There are currently no intend to retire from this review, but if you plan yet to pass the exam, you may just want to continue to check the website to make sure that the review do not retire until you're ready to move. We give usually about 3 months notice to review who is retiring. He'll be Messaging on the review page. However, as I mentioned above, there is currently no plan to retire from this review.

• Very frustrated with 1Z0-051 exam today

  This is my second time to take the exam. I studied very hard. This is my second time to take the exam. What an extra insult in damage, is that I could write PL/SQL blocks with much success in real life and in real projects. In the test report, they said that I need to review: run a basic SELECT statement. It of very embaressing and demolished my morale really.

  I have my BC - after a lot of sweat and worry. And to be honest, the two tests of Oracle, I took to get this OCA were both more difficult tests, that I've ever taken in my life; and that includes College.

  Don't fight too much. I took 1Z0-007 and 1Z0-147 with no experience of work, the time of classes and study of Oracle.

  You'll get there. Do not be discouraged.

  9i DBA OCP track normally requires:

  Exam 1Z0-007 (SQL)
  1Z0-031 (s/n basic 1 course)

  By the way both of these entitle DBA OCA.

  1Z0-032 (s/n course (basic 2)
  1Z0-033 (performance optimization)

  By the way both of these entitle OCP DBA provides practical courses approved has been executed.

  My understanding (not loan) is allowed the delivery of the WDP DBA track offers it all.

  1Z0-051 is an examination of SQL:
  -It is 11g based and contains a number of elements present in 11 (10g) do not present in earlier versions.
  -He probably uses the syntax ansi preferred rather than the Oracle syntax for some joints.
  -While the course outline and the difficulty of crossing are expected to be similar.
  -C' is a more modern and usually the relevance of the themes and issues is improved.

  Generally, there is little interest to take the 1z0-051 if you take 1z0-007. I'm going to propose always people consider 1z0-051 as opposed to 1z0 - 007
  (at least they are focusing on 9i for the WDP program reasons etc.).

  Can be considered the 1z0 - 047 people wishing to demonstrate advanced SQL, and an ECA is granted for this passage. This review is more difficult.

  Generally recommended to focus on relevant exams to 9i WDP DBA till track that passed.
