  Firefox Setup file can be downloaded onto a memory stick and then be transferred and installed on another computer, make sure you get the version of the computer that you install on not the one you download from.

  You mention Firefox 1.1 which is hopelessly outdated, if that is correct. That you upgraded your computer to Windows XP sp3, you will certainly be Internet Explorer available, which will be a browser suitable for use when downloading Firefox.

  Even if you do not use IE as default browser you probably want to keep it on XP, it will be useful/necessary to make Windows Update security downloads etc.

  What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

  If you've accidentally deleted bookmarks, then use "organize > Cancel ' in the Bookmark Manager (Bookmarks > show all bookmarks) to recover.

  If you have a backup that was made so that you have a RESTRICTION password enabled, you cannot restore this backup because you re - will just access code that you don't remember.

  You start as a new device and stay that way. In other words, your data is lost. The Apple Store has no way around that.

  Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  they do it for a nominal cost of $

  also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

  you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

  Thank you for your message.  64-bit operating systems will be run 32-bit applications, however, you might have been told that your application is compatible with Windows 7.  I would advise that you check with your IT support to get better clarification of why you need Windows Vista.  For now, Microsoft sold more Vista, but you may be able to find a copy online or through your local dealer.
