• InDesign CC 2015: Error of fonts when opening "original Version missing."

  We use a type (Universal Type Server) with Adobe CC Manager.

  When you open a file in InDesign CC 2015 I get an error: saying "original Version missing."

  The original version of the x of the fonts in the document is not found in the database of the universal Type.

  BUT no fonts are really missing in the file.

  When to skip or cancel, the message keeps inviting every 5 seconds when working in the file.

  Anyone had this problem before?

  I just Extensis support on this issue:

  "Pick best match when original is missing" must be activated in the preferences to activate automatic universal Type.

  You can find it in the menu Type in InDesign.

  Although updates has fixed some audio issues (in particular the closure at the end of the converted clips)

  I always have a problem which makes use of the encoder to media 2015 unusable for me.

  My workflow is always to return on an intermediate format (quicktime with Cineform codec and audio not compressed)

  Then import this file into Media Encoder to render all of the different formats.

  Problem is that Media Encoder refuses to export audio from any quicktime through rendered with Media Encoder 2015.4

  The same is when I import the Cineform intermediate (rendered with 2015.4) Quitcktime in Media Encoder 2014. Then I also no audio output.

  This workflow works only when you use AE2014-> Media Encoder 2014

  So, for me, still not fond of using AE & ME 2015.4

  Hi Menno,

  Thanks for sharing your files with me.  I was able to reproduce this problem and found the cause of this problem.  It seems that GoPro Studio is in conflict with Media Encoder If you try to encode audio files in 24-bit (or higher bit) Cineform Quicktime.  I have recorded a bug on this issue report.

  In the meantime, here are some workarounds.

  Option #1. Uninstall Studio GoPro.  Then I could import your Media Encoder file correctly with audio.

  Option no. 2. When you create a Cineform QuickTime files, please use audio not compressed 16-bit.  Audio 16 bit could be properly imported into Media Encoder same GoPro Studio installed.

  Option #3. Use Mac.  As you mentioned, this isn't a problem on Mac.

  2015.0 indesign Mac opens with the app bar at the top of the screen without window workspace which is how I like it, the latest version that I downloaded opens with the application bar at the top, but with a large space gray boring work attached below, how do I that InDesign can open the same way as the previous without space gray shell attached , just the toolbar application at the top of the screen, the more recent version kept crashing anyway, so I went back to the previous 2015.0 instead, but knowing how to change the latest version to act in the same way that 2015.0 would be nice to know.

  I use a Windows 8.1 machine and recently installed Acrobat DC and Illustrator CC2015 without any problem. At the same time, I installed InDesign and Photoshop CC 2015 at the same time. Initially, I got the message (I don't know which program was this error, it was either InDesign or Photoshop):

  So I did as instructed and downloaded from Microsoft.com vcredist_x86.exe and installed with no problems that I could say and restarted my computer. I opened Cloud to launch Photoshop and InDesign to test them, and it says have been updated, so I ran the updates for InDesign. When I tried to launch InDesign, I received the following message: Adobe InDesign CC 2015 has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. It does not give a code error or any other information. I did not run updates for Photoshop and can open very well now. I uninstalled InDesign and tried to run it without updates, and still, it crashes at launch, giving me the same message: Adobe InDesign CC 2015 has stopped working.   Try to disable (uncheck) hide and show the menu in the preferences system, under the general tab.

  I see on your screenshot above that the WOFF is transferred to the intended location, so the hypothesis on a wrong configuration of web server seems the most plausible.

  Set the "Read and write" permissions on the files of Adobe for all users in the following locations:

  This isn't a mistake, it's a fact. There is nothing you can do with this font, unless you contact the seller and find out if they have an embeddable version.

  FWIW, I would never even consider using a font without rights of incorporation and vectorised text conversion is likely to constitute a violation of the license of fonts as well.

  It looks like the effect 'breach' common when there is transparency on a page. It shows on the screen and in preints of low resolution, but not, in my opinion, out of press.

• All corrupt after conditioning InDesign PostScript fonts

  One of my design partners who use ID CS4 on Snow Leopard package files she works for me and gives them to me. Each time all PostScript fonts are like zero-byte packages. Fonts OpenType or TrueType come through fine.

  This has been the persistent problem and a huge headache. The issue is not religaturée to send files for me. Printers and another collaborator receive these fonts packaged in the same corrupt State.

  I've seen other talking about it here before, but I've never seen someone solve this problem. I have even posted about it last year. Is there anyone who has any idea about this problem?

  OK people the problem has been isolated. Unfortunately, I was providing some info wrong because, what we'll call a lack of understanding of the tools, my colleague has been/is to help. Until we sat together today to do a test of zip/unzip, I didn't know she was using Stuffit to compress these fonts. She didn't even not built in zip functionality has been included in the OS.

  Anyway, compression via Stuffit and decompression then fried the fonts. Stuffing the fonts instead of use the zip format works very well. ALSO, the built in 'Compress' characteristic of the snow leopards in the well worked. . SITX and were all two .zip Apple unzipped successfully after traveling by email to review the operation of the PostScript fonts.

  I haven't checked the version of Stuffit she still uses, but I guess it's a somewhat older version, and when she has upgraded to Snow Leopard Stuffit zip format is headed south. About, which would coincide with how long this has been a problem.
