3.4.1 Lightroom does not recognize files

Suddenly Lightroom can't read all the files in three different cameras (Leica, Nikon, Canon) in various formats (jpeg and raw for each camera).  Easily, the same files are read in Photoshop and iPhoto.

Have tried to reset preferences but always failed to open all the files.  The message "the following files were not imported because they cannot be read.

Is there a solution to this?  Have re-installed to Lightroom, but without success.

Pete

This message can also mean that the files cannot be written.

Make sure you have write permission for the folders that you copy/move images.

Ja.
