Get rid of the current wireless network connection so that I can set up a new connection using the same IP address.

Here's my problem: I got a new computer and a wireless network connection has been set up and I could get on the internet. My daughter then wanted to try her new computer and somehow his computer is defined as the network and I can no longer connect to the internet via my computer.

The second part of my problem is that when I try to configure my computer, I get the message that I need to go to the Micro knowledge base and article 871122.
I did it.  By following the instructions for Windows configure my wireless, I get as far as the stage of network connections - go to change the settings for this network connection.  It is said that I had to go to the wireless network tab.  There is no tab wireless network I can say to use Windows to configure my network connections...

I know it is long, but can someone help.  I use Windows XP Prof 2002 with service pack 3 version. Thank you adpotate

Although several screensavers just do one thing, some of them can be customized.  For example, '3D text' screen saver allows you to choose the text, the text color, size, etc.

For most screen savers, just choose one from the drop-down list and then click 'OK' - not the button "settings".

The two network status of connections 'Unidentified network', and also ' access: Local only ' all other machines hooked up to my router via CAT5e and some via 802.11 g/n, have excellent speeds with internet connectivity, so I know that the problem is limited to his machine. Guys, I'm really hitting my head against the wall on this one, and I would be VERY happy for any help through this. Thank you!

  • How to get rid of the old ssid that allows itself on another network

I had a mobile hotspot, I used for the internet, now I use my neighbors, wireless network, the ssid of old hotspot always presents and replaces network neighbors even if it is not operational, showing access internet, causing problems... What can I do?

    Hi PLANTESTEPHAN,

I think that your Windows 7 has implemented information cached on your wireless connections. I suggest you to remove all SSID memory. Restart, and then sign in again to the new connection.

    (a) click Start and select Control Panel.

    (b) go to network and sharing Center. Look at the top left and choose "manage wireless connections.

    (c) then you can rename or set the SSID for each Wi - Fi connection there. I think it's better to delete them all, if you have two or delete mobile hotspot connection.

    (d) restart the computer.

You can also get rid of the extra wireless adaptor by going to control panel > Device Manager, go to 'View' and then choose 'show hidden devices '. Later, go to the network adapters and you can remove all of the extra network adapter entries.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-Check if you are connected to the network?

The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

I have a laptop of refurbished HP older Pavilion ze5385US who has recently lost the wireless connection.  Now, I have to leave it plugged in to use, not practical at all.  I did the right click on the icon to open the network connections, left clicked wireless network connections and then clicked "repair this connection.  The uninstaslled of the computer, and then was not able to reinstall.  When I checked D, it was empty.  I thought it was where restoration stuff should have been.  So I downloaded and reinstalled much Express IEEE 802.11 PCI card Lan, until I found the one that the computer would be except.  Now, it appears in device very good Manager, but has theyellow cone with! on the icon in the status bar at the bottom.  When I raised it lights, it is said: 13 of (ANY) wireless network connection, speed: 11.0 Mbps, Signal strength: Excellent, status: limited or no connectivity.  When I choose "View available wireless networks", I get "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection.  Under network without wire/support/details of connections, Iget physical address: 00-02-8A-92-BE-0C, IP address: 169.254.196.112 subnet mask: 255.255.0.0, then the default gateway, DNS server, WINS server & have not enumerated values. Hello

I thank you and wish you the same.

I see that your problem has been solved using the HP driver that you mentioned on Thursday, November 18 in your message and the Express.sys is a problem with Windows install.

I suggest to install the version of Windows install 4.5 on the system from the link below and then update the driver from the link that was attached to your question before and check.

    Step 1:

    Install windows install 4.5

    Windows install 4.5 Redistributable

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

    Step 2:

Update the driver from the link you mentioned in your previous post.

I suggest you to check with TP-link if this model is compatible with Windows XP or not.

  • I lose the internet connection randomly but never lose my wireless network connection.

I use a hp pavilion dv9500 with 64-bit vista sp2 and built in a wireless adapter that will fall randomly my internet wireless connection, but maintains my wireless network connection with an excellent signal strength.

    My (non-permanent) fixed
I know how to reconnect to the internet, but it forces me to diagnose a repair my connection. It then displays "cannot connect to Server primary dns (75.75.75.75)"after which it gives "things to try" who never work and a button 'Reset the ip address' that I click. " repair bar will fill up to half way and go to a new screen solution that shows more 'solutions' and a "reset wireless adapter" button which I click. the remedy bar will fill and then display windows can not solve the problem and go for help. I then manually disconnect from the wireless network and my computer will automatically reconnect to the network and to the internet. It takes about five minutes to fix, but it happens so often that it is getting boring. The process will not work if I only to reset the ip address and then disconnect from the network, only to reset the wireless adapter and then disconnect, or just disconnect from the network and reconnect. I have to reset the ip address and the wireless adapter and then disconnect from the network.

The internet connection will tend to disconnect when I watch a lot of youtube videos, when I download large files like a game on steam, or just just randomly when I use it. I'll use it for a long time and he can't let it go, but sometimes it will go down to ten minutes after I had just reconnected in a drop-down list. It happens randomly without another warning that download time will increase from 2 mb to 50 k in two seconds all about or stop the loading of a youtube video when I look at it.
I searched everywhere for an answer, but it's as if it were a new problem for all humanity or just im the only person who does not know how to solve this problem, because there are no forums or FAQ not related to my problem. It is not so much a serious problem such as an irritating problem that appears at inconvenient times or when I just want to relax and watch a video. It takes some time to reconnect and even though I know how it would be better if my connection would just stay connected to the internet at any time.
I have no idea what the problem could be that whenever I have find I never get related problems. all advice or solution would be great.
I also share this modem with other three commonly used computers: a wired office and two other laptops that the two are connected wirelessly. both other laptops do not have the same problem as mine. My router is a linksys e3000 wireless router.

    Hi DustinMoor3,

Follow the troubleshooting steps posted by Shekhar (marked as the answer) in this thread to solve the problem with no connection to the primary DNS server, in particular the method 2 worked for other users.

    Hi idkmyname

    1. What is the exact error message displayed when you try to go online?
    2. do you have updated the network card drivers installed?
    3. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    Method 1:
You can check the links below and check out them if the steps to help you resolve the issue-

    Method 2:
You can follow the steps below to check the NIC in Device Manager. I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the NIC drivers and check:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click system and Maintenance, click Systemand then click on Device Manager.
Note If Control Panel is in Classic view, double-click System, and then click Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
Check if you have any exclamation point beside the devices listed. If you have, then there is problem with the card is installed.

    c. in the NIC, expand adapter, right click on the devices listed and then click Uninstall.
When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.

    d. restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically. Check after this procedure if you are able to get access to the network.

If so, you can make trought accessing the website 'admin panel' or 'FTP '.

An administration panel (or "administration panel") is a site that your host/domain provides to you, where you can change everything you want - even is for 'FTP', 'FTP' is a server where you access your Web site and change what you want, and that includes delete the current Web site.

    Hello

    1. what operating system you are using?

    2. how many computers is connected to the network?

    3 - is a domain network?

    4. What is the exact error code or error message you received?

5 have have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

    Method 1: Troubleshooting run Network.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: Wi - Fi and in Windows network connection issues.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

If you cannot connect to a network, it could be a problem with your network adapter. You can try to use the network adapter troubleshooting utility to automatically find and fix some common problems.

How can I troubleshoot network card?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-fix-network-adapter-problems

Method 3: Disable the security software and check.

You can also temporarily disable the security software and check if the problem persists. Be sure to enable this security software on the computer after checking.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
