  Hi all
  in OBIEE we have a table of facts related to the physical layer to 20 dimensions. I created 15 size hierarchies but when I check the consistency that I get the warning BUSINESS MODEL < bmname >:

  The error refers to the 5 tables which have not any hierarchy.
  I also create hierarchies of these 5 tables (even with a total and a detail view only)?

  I have a problem (which is quite common that I saw, but I could find a solution that solves my problem again) with coherence.
  
  My physical layer looks like this:

  Table_E
  
  In the business model, I have all of same tables and the following joints in the logical scheme of the Table:
  
  -> Table_B Table_a
  Table_C-> Table_A
  -> Table_A Table_D
  Table_E-> Table_A
  
  The consistency check is delivered two warnings:

  While working in BI answers, I managed to recover all the data tables C, D, E. But for tables A and B I can retrieve only the columns that are defined in the join Table_A-> Table_B. All other columns to deliver the following error message:

  If I get one column from Table_A and one from Table_E, I have the following error:

  State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error occurred. [nQSError: 15018] Incorrectly source the logical table set (for the fact Table_E table) does not contain a mapping for [Table_B.Column_X]. (HY000)

  I would like to correct this mistakes but do not know where the problem is hidden.

  It's seems that D and E are fact tables joined to a dimension. A has dimensions B and C, this is attached to itself.

  So the only facts are D and E, is that at the time? A is the size?

  D and E joined in A and A are the joints B and C, right?

  I have a page that is served from a local apache httpd. On this, I have an iframe with the served content from an external http source.

  Does not show every night. I can say to show the content of the iframe by choosing 'turn off Protection on this Page. Unfortunately after a refresh (F5) the blocking comes into play again.

  Please provide an option set an exception for "This Page" permanently.

• on the left side of my address bar, is to show that firefox has blocked content that is not secure, whenevr I on facebook or any other applications related to it.

  Firefox blocks the content of almost all Web sites.

  It is even shows that for this page.

  Whenever I update the facebook page / year app on facebook that will appear.

  Previously it used to crash firefox, then I've updated, but since it is just keeping it blocking if gray / geen colorful lock is active on the left side of the address bar.

  So whenever I get this error I have to refresh the page & disable the protection on the page again.

  If the site is verified then firefox blocks almost everything.

• Help! Logical physical Table table - imported as fact table

  I am trying to create a logical table. When I drag the alias of the physical layer in the MDB, logic is created with the sign #. I think that it indicates as a fact table. I can't create a logical dimension of this table. How can I make the table come in a logic instead of a fact?

  1 > drag the physical Table in MDB. It will create a logical fact table in MDB Test for example.

  2 > duplicate this logical fact table. Another fact logical Test #1 table will be created.

  3 > select Test / Test No. 1 logical tables, and then right-click and select model for Business diagram.

  4 > create a new logical join between the Test and the Test #1 in MDB. Make sure that this Test: Test #1 cardinality is 1:M.

  5 > This will make the Test as a logical dimension table. Double-click the logical size Test table, go to the tab key and create a primary key.

• Problem creating hierarchy based on 2 physical dimension tables

  I'm having a problem create 1 dimension logic with a hierarchy of exploration, based on two separate physical dimension tables. The errors I get when navigating in the exploring hierarchy is:
  "Cannot find coverage source logical table to the columns of the logical" &
  "Missing join between the logical tables.
  
  I use OBIEE 10.1.3.4
  Here are the details of what I have set up as:
  
  Physical layer:
  Table DIM_ORG with the dimension columns:
  -dimension_key
  -org_total_code
  -org_total_description
  -org_detail_code
  -org_detail_description
  
  Dimension table DIM_DEPT with columns:
  -dimension_key
  -dept_total_code
  -dept_total_description
  -dept_detail_code
  -dept_detail_description
  
  FACT_SALES table with columns of facts:
  -fk_org
  -fk_dept
  -sum_sales
  
  Physical joins:
  FACT_SALES.fk_org = DIM_ORG_dimension_key
  FACT_SALES.fl_dept = DIM_DEPT.dimension_key
  
  Business model and the mapping of layer:
  I created a logical dimension ORG_DEPT. It contains two sources of logic table (DIM_ORG & DIM_DEPT) and the following logical columns:
  -All departments (mapped to dept_total_code)
  -Organization (mapped to org_detail_description)
  -Organisation number (mapped to org_detail_code)
  -Department (mapped to dept_detail_description)
  -Department Code (mapped to dept_detail_code)
  The logical key of the company is based on the combination of number of organization & Department Code
  
  The hierarchy, I need is: all departments-> organization-> Department so I created the following hierarchy for ORG_DEPT:
  -Total level containing: all departments
  -Organization level containing: company (defined as logical level key) number & Organisation (als defined the key level drill)
  / Department detail level containing: Department (defined as logical level key) Code and the Department (defined as key level drill).
  
  In the LTS of the ORG_DEPT dimension, I've set levels of content for sources:
  DIM_ORG: Level of organization
  DIM_DEPT: Level of detail Department
  The LTS non - joins inner - came against the associated physical tables.
  
  I created a logical fact table (based on the physical fact table) SALES and joined him on the ORG_DEPT logical dimension table.
  In the LTS, level of content for ORG_DEPT is part of the level of retail service. Non - joins inner were aded against related physical tables.
  
  When I create a report in response to test the hierarchy and select only "all departments' I get the value of the returned correct size. When I try to break through to the next level, I get the following ODBC error:
  "Could not find coverage source logical table for logical columns: [all of them]." "Please check more detailed level keys are correctly mapped.
  
  When I create a report in responses and select "Every department" and "Sales", I get the correct result. When I try to break through to the next level, I get a different ODBC error:
  "Lack of join between the logical tables DIM_DEPT and DIM_DEPT: there must be at least a physical link to join between the underlying physical tables.

  You have no relationship defined between the Department and org.

  You can either:
  a. create a table of physical dimension with a composite key of org_id & dept_id if there is a relationship defined somewhere, then to obiee model as you have already done, but in the physical layer on the composite key join
  b. model your exisitng as two-dimensional and two hierarchies tables and set up a path of forest favorite between them according to your needs.

  Yes, you can, but you must create a false join with another table.
  OBIEE always ask in the minimum layer of business model, a dimension and a fact table.
  In the presentation layer, drag you only the fact table column and it will work.

  but the last piece I am trying to understand is the IP address table.  Here's what I want to do with it, see if anyone can help with thoughts on that.

  • Ping (or connect remotely) a range of IP addresses, in this case 10.11.150.10 - 10.11.150.250 and released those who fail a connection to a range of IP.  The goal is to use this to fill in the information of IP address for servers that are being created.

  As a little more description here, maybe this contributes to possible scripting, I'm creating servers with the 3 last even as long as the last octet of the IP address.  Thus, the script will run, find IPS that are open (not ping response) and deploy servers model based on IP addresses.  For example, if 10.11.150.55 is crazy, does not, the script will deploy the server of server055 with the IP address of 10.11.150.55.

  It seems that cannot create multiple "logical joins" between a fact table and the table of a dimension in OBIEE with Administration Oracle BI tool. For example, whereas a business model with a dimension table TIMES and has made the table containing the value of START_TIME and END_TIME, we want to create separate logical joins BOTH done for the START_TIMEs and the END_TIMEs? Of course, underlying foreign keys can be created, but as far as I can tell the Administration Oracle BI tool does not support this. The solution would be to reproduce the table in TIME, but it's ugly.
  I'm looking for another approach.

  Try this. Create an alias of two for the TIME dimension (beginning & end) in the physical layer, then remove foreign key to the 'Parent' time dimension. Create the foreign key in the physical layer for new aliases, then create complex joins in the MDB layer for new aliases as well. This will allow you to present the two dates within the same table in the presentation layer. Not a more elegant solution, but it works.
