4.1 to 5.5

Hi all

I have an esx4.1 that I would upgrade to a 5.5 is a former server, so I thought, if it's better just to start a new installation of vmware 5.5 on a completely new server and if that's the case how gurus advise you to transfer/migrate VMS from the old server to the new server.

If you do not have a vCenter there are a few options.

1 using a program like VMware Converter, Platespin Migrate to migrate the computer host 4.1 virtual host 5.5.

2. the other option is to copy the files from the virtual machine directly using WinSCP or a similar tool.

Personally, I prefer to use option 1.
