4:3 movies recored Media Center Qosmio are stretched to 16:9

Hi there Qosmio users... I hope someone can help...

When recording on my Qosmio Media Center TV, it always seems to save in a 4:3 version of the power of 16:9.

I tried display settings but can't seem to do things...
When I have a vision to export (or play on the Qosmio) it always appears as a skinny stretched 4:3 16:9 vision which aired version.

Help, please! Thank you

Hello

Some TV stations send TV in 4:3 and some other programs are transmitted in 16 / 9
If you have saved the 16:9 video and display in 4:3 so still, you will notice that the images show a bit rushed

I don t use the MCE, but I think that the Media Center of Vista should contain an option that would change the ratio from 4:3 to 16:9

    Hi fans of Qosmio

I have a problem with my Media Center.
When I try to view a video I downloaded the screen goes black and stay like that and when I CTRL ALT DEL off to get him a (ehshell.exe - common language runtime debugging) rises.

First of all it says application has generated an exception that t couldn't be manipulated PID id = 0xc60 (3168) thread = 0x8c8 (2286).
It gives me options, click ok to complete or Cancel to debug.
When I click on Cancel to debug said registered JIT debugger is not available with 0 x 2 (2) check parameters cordbg.exe error code the 0xc60 happens.

Hope someone can help me with this problem and I hope it's not technical.
I m not very good on this subject.

    > When I try to view a video I downloaded the screen goes black and stay like that
Does this happen only to play THIS video or downloaded video?
Did you check if you can play other video files correctly?

I have goggled a bit, but unfortunately, there are not many cases about this error message.
I think that it s simply something wrong with certain files, registry keys or the operating system is simply confused upward. In this case and to be honest it s nothing unusual in the wide word of computer systems

First of all, you can try to clean the operating system using the CCLeaner. It cleans the OS files and the registry. In addition, it would be desirable to install all the patches and fixes available...

If that doesn't do it, it would be very interesting to know if the same error would appear on own pre-installed OS

So, as you see it s not easy to say why the error message displayed to certain procedures of investigations would be necessary

    Good luck

  • No sound when playing movies through Media Center

I can watch TV, play movies through third-party software and the sound is great.  I go through a system of 5:1 and all speakers work.  However, when I try to play a movie in the film library of the Media Center, I don't hear sounds in the background, no track of voice!

  • Windows Media Center: Photos are wrong / unknown Date

Windows Media Center 12 with Windows 7.

Displaying photos with WMC in chronological order, it shows a date of 01/09/2010.  This date is not on the information file, or within the Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) metadata format.  Whence this date?  I want to display the photos in chronological order according to the indication of date of file, such as 'Date Modified'.  There are tools out there to view and modify file dates and so dates EXIF, but I don't see whence this date 01/09/2010.  My smart TV is also picking up this date 01/09/2010 and it is why my photos are displayed out of sequence.

I do digital images from slides using a scanner and then download on my PC.  The scanner is filling some EXIF metadata but no date.

Whence this date?  Is he created somehow?  Is she on the Smart TV as well?

  • Qosmio F10 - a few disruptions, watch television in the Media Center & Qosmio player

    Hello

    I have a Qosmio F10.
The motherboard died and was replaced by Toshiba with a new saw 915 chips.
I was watching TV in media library and Qosmio player with no problems.

But recently, I noticed that after playing for awhile, the TV has a few disruptions.
The video is not yet clear, but the screen has vibrations (for lack of a better word).

It's like when you watch TV on low voltage. I thought that it may be due to dump excess files and temporary files. So I deleted them.
It seems to work very well so far, but I wonder if it's because of the RAM.
His only 512 MB. Should I update? If yes then how much.

    Thank you.

If the manual says this, then it could be possible that this is the cause
Sorry, but you can find using only the notebook with the settings and accurate portrait of Toshiba.

  • Error: "can't stand running in portrait mode" when you try to access Windows Media Center on secondary monitor.

Title: Media center does not open on the main montitor and closed because school is portrait. How can I fix?

In Windows Vista Media Center opens on my secondary monitor instead of my main monitor. Because the secondary is in portrait mode that Windows Media closes with the message "does not support running in portrait mode. I disabled the secondary and rebooted Media Center which works well, but I don't want to have to turn off my high school whenever I want to get something in the Media Center... always on the second monitor by default. How to run on the main screen, because it won't let me start if both screens are activated. I have to use my secondary back in fashion landscape to move the Media Center to return to the main Setup screen? It's simply ridiculous from the start.

Let me answer your line by line:

    > Description of the question, I understand that you have a problem with Windows Media Center on the secondary screen. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Yes. This is what it says in the title and in the body of the text... was it not QUITE CLEAR.

    > 1) you have made any changes on the computer before this problem?

What does that mean? Who on Earth has a blank computer that has never been touched running on two monitors? Of course, there has been changes? What exactly you want to know?

I find this question to a complete loss of all time and wonder what kind of political support requires that ask you such a question absurd. Please fell free link my feelings on this topic to your agency for my account.

(> 2) which monitor do you have configured as default view? (Primary or secondary)

The primary is the default value. The secondary could be the value by default if I didn't say that Media Center opens on secondary education and not on HAND (Please read this as default, everyone in the world does) monitor.

    > Method 1: I suggest you to change the display in extended mode and check if the problem persists.

The display was already in extended mode.

    > Method 2: if the issue continues, I would also suggest update you the drivers for the secondary monitor and make as primary while the other monitor is disabled then try to turn the screen and check if it helps.

Why update drivers would change anything. It would not be... the problem lies in the reporting to the Media Center of the portrait mode, that has nothing to do with the hardware drivers; they report portrait mode very well, thank you. As for making primary and turning, wondering if there is anything that I could do otherwise than to resort to having to play with the settings of the monitor in the query, and I don't have to make primary of all... just back to the landscape and backward Media Center elementary school. This does not work... but should I have to resort to something which is, more or less, a workaround if the problem lies in the Media Center and not my monitor settings? The answer should be no, and incidentally, Media Center, once started and settled in portrait orientation (in windowed mode, otherwise you couldn't move) works fine, as long as you do not close it while it is still in this mode, because then he will refuse to start for no reason other than the programmer who designed it seems not know beans orientation or multiple monitors. It's funny that although Media Center does not default to the main monitor, it sends the message of demolition to this same screen by default.

To the people looking at the end who will not read everything above... it is what to do:

Back secondary to landscape mode and launch Media Center. Put the Media Center in windowed (not fullscreen) mode and move it will remind the main monitor... it will require a bit of hocus-pocus with the mouse if you cannot put the monitor physically return to the landscape, try it, you'll see. Close Media center so that it restarts next time it opens on the main screen. Reset the secondary back to portrait. VOILA! See you soon. (Please read this as a courtesy and not as applause.)

  • Problem watching a netflix on media center

On Christmas day, we watched several movies with media center through netflix.

We have tried to make the xame yesterday, but kept getting an error message blue box saying something like "unable to retrieve data, check the internet connection."  Nonoe of movies selcted, queues, watched movies, or any other category post trying to connect through the media library.

I had no problem to the internet, log on to netflix, see my queue of the film selected etc.

I tried to do a system restore to a date prior to my connection initial netflix and reinstall the software.  Same thing.  I think that something is shifted on the side of the Media Center.

I'm running vista 64-bit home version.  Any suggestions?
    Bill

    Hi Bill,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site!

It is possible that restarting Windows updated the cache Internet Explore (IE) who had some configuration information.

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: run diskcleanup, see link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup

Step 2: Allow windows media Center to connect through the firewall

    1. open the Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall and then click Windows Firewall.

    2. in the left pane, click on allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall

    3. click on change settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    4. Select the check box for windows media center, select the network locations that you want to allow communication, and then click OK.

    If the problem persists,

Step 3: Rebuild the Media Center data store. To do this, follow these steps:

1 exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.

2 delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:

    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.DB

To remove the file, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start and then click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type run and then click OK

    (c) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    (d) in the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and then click OK.

    (e) in the details pane, right-click right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.

    (f) click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.
