5520-printer

When I was given a printer HP 5520 for Christmas I downloaded a puzzle and now I can't stop

It is to print on its own. Anyone know how I can stop it. It will display a few minutes

After I have turn on the printer and will print on its own about every 20 minutes. Help.

Thank you.

If there is some configuration unwanted automatic on-demand applicationson the printer to print on their own calendar, there is a way to stop it. You can pause or cancel as shown below:

Running Windows 7 32 bit home edition and I am trying to print 9 Explorered Internet consistatnly.

Since the purchase and installation of the 5520 printer, I've been running the questions where the jobs are in a print status in the queue but nothing comes out of the printer.  The printer is configured to print from WiFi and happens on all 3 of my computers.  I need to remove the task from the queue and then stop and restart the spooler before work service removes it from the queue.  I can print from Word, Excel and other applications, but when printing from the browser it happens at least once a day.  I would say that if a website has a button "print" the problem does not occur, but when you select just print in the menu of the browser, it happens more often.

It becomes very annoying and would like this to be resolved.  This never happened with my Canon Pixma printer that has replaced this printer.  I ran the HP printer diagostics and there no question.

The problem is caused by a conflict pilot between IE 9 and the print driver. The solution is to uninstall IE 9 and use IE 8. Normally, this solves the problem. If this isn't something you want to do, there are other options. First of all, you can try using another web browser. I'll include links to Firefox and Chrome downloads. Another of the options, is that you can try to use a different printer driver. I would add as well the instructions below. Hope that helps.

    Firefox:
    http://goo.GL/7ICv2

    Chrome:
    http://goo.GL/MAqrN

To use a different print driver for printers HP with Windows 7:
    1. click on the start menu.
    2 click devices and printers.
    3. right click on your printer.
    4. Select printer properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab.
    6. click on new driver.
    7. click on next.
    8. Select HP in the first list.
    9. Select Deskjet 450 in the second.
    10. click Next.
    11. click on finish.
    12. click on apply.

  • HP Photosmart 5520: Printer prints blank pages suddenly

Yesterday, my printer decided that he would simply print blank pages with a black line in the middle. I did a test print via the configuration menu and it prints fine. My wife can print wireless. And until yesterday I had no problem.

Looks like there is something wrong with the print on your Mac driver. To resolve this problem, we will need refresh your printing system and re - add the printer driver.

    Reset the printing system:

To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system" because the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.10. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.

Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

    Add device:
    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click on print and scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

    5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the driver of the HP Photosmart camera is selected.

    6. click Add to add the printer to the list. Do not add the AirPrint driver.

Once your printer is properly added to, please try printing again to verify that the problem is now resolved.

  • 5520 print envelopes

When I first set up my printer HP 5520, I tried to print an envelope (#10) and it printed fine.

Since then, all attempts to print envelopes took late in the current envelope, fed through the printer and coming out in white.  I tried all the various combinations of place the envelope in the tray: L, R, (with the spread paper guides) Center, (with the paper guides, cradling the envelope).  I tried all the positions of these two face to the top and face toward the bottom, as well as all the settings for these positions in Microsoft Word, but not luck.  I also checked that Word is configured to print an envelope #10.

Any ideas on what is wrong?  Thank you-

Interesting question here! Your printer has difficulties to print any other documents? Also have you tried to remove the softare and reinsert from the website? Here's a link to it!

  • HP Photosmart 5520: Printer crashes. Error B81605BE.

Today, my new HP Photosmart 5520 arrived. I took it out of the box, the driver installed and it works. After connecting to the wireless router, it gave a blue screen. Error message: B81328F0. After a second, this screen disappears and the printer tells me to put it off and on again. And this happens over and over again.

Actually, I threw my HP Photosmart 6510 last week, because he had the same problem (only with the B81605BE error code).

Someone at - it ideas about what is happening here?

The firmware update does not solve it either, I went to the store and bought a new router. I then put in place a new Wi - Fi network, which is connected to it and... It works like a charm.

So apparently the router that gave me my provider is not able to communicate with printers (HP?) ... Lesson learned.

    Hello norman - 99,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! Congratulations on your first computer, which should be exciting and scary at the same time!

I see that you are interested in a guide to all the different copy settings and options for your Photosmart HP 5520, there is a User Guide that has information about the copy feature, you will find that here: HP Photosmart 5520 series User Guide on pages 21-24. I know you are probably looking for more information, although not available in the manual, I took the lead and went through the front for you and made a list for you, you'll find it attached (at the bottom of this post) in this way you can keep it for future reference.

I hope this has been helpful, please let me know if you need more help.

    Thank you

My Mac OSX 10.8 computer he straightens and the printer is recongising the IP address of my computer, but when I feel goes into the printer icon in my dock and just said "Ready to print" and nothing happens. Remove the printer in Control Panel > printers & devices.

  • 5520: hp Photosmart 5520 printer all in one

Was fine print, but then the black began to go and then replace cartridge. Checked the vents and the vents are clean in black ink. Go to print a report on the quality, but the black is white. Any ideas how to make a partial or complete printer reset?

    HI @mmcclaf,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to print black on your printer HP Photosmart 5520. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand the frustration you feel. First, we determine if you are experiencing a hardware problem or software. I believe that the print head might be clogged, please follow the steps below to help you determine the cause.

I would like to try the steps in this guide: printer prints a blank Page or not printed in black or color ink.

    • If the test page prints in black stop here!
    • If the test page doesn't print in black continue.

Is the printer during the warranty period? If so, I suggest that you contact HP. I've included the contact information below.

If the printer is not covered by the warranty, you can always try a manual cleaning print head, as shown in the video below. Please use at your own discretion.

NOTE: HP Photosmart 5510 doesn't have a removable customer printhead as your 5520. This video shows how to remove and clean.

Video: HP 5510 will not print black and color - print head removed and cleaned.

  • new hp photosmt 5520 prints blah, faded photos. c6380 opportunity before and there is no comparison. Help?

Had me new printer as HP Photosmart C6380 showed problem printer head and not matter what I was doing (went out, cleaned, talked, prayed on) would not.  Need to print and parts are not available locally.

Distributor store providing Office told me is a 'future generation' of C6380 HP Photosmart 5520 and uses the same printer ink (I wanted to since I was a good supply).

Turns on it uses only 4 of the 5 inks, and photo prints are terrible.

    Can anyone help?

The seller may have been a little less informed. Because the printer does not use the black photo (the fifth cartridge you mentioned), prints is not quite the same quality of the C6380 you had. Since it seems that this has been very resent purchase, I personally take the printer to the store and get a 7520. The Photosmart 7520 use all 5 of the inks and should have the same quality that you are used to with the C6380. If this isn't an option, let me know and I'll do my best to help you with the problem of the quality of the 5520.

  • Photosmart 5520: Printer Printing slowly from Word

My printer started to print slowly.  I printed a printer status report and comes out at normal - as speed does a test page sent from my PC.

But when I print from Word, it has a little break between each line of prints.  I think the problem is, therefore, with Word, but where do I start to fix?

    see you soon

    Hi @arghhhhhhhhhh,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that your HP Photosmart 5520 is slowly printing from Word on Windows 8.1. I'm happy to help you with this printing problem!

For further testing, what happens when you print from Notepad?

By the sounds of it, no doubt looks like the problem is in the word. Have you tried to open a new Word file and copy and paste the content in there? Perhaps a document has been altered somehow.

Another suggestion is to try our HP print and Scan Doctor, to see if there is some driver conflicts.

Thanks for posting and have a great day!

  • PhotoSmart 5520 print at low resolution

Just bought a new printer (Photosmart 5520) but when I print images from the proselect, they come out very low resolution. It is not the proselect as print images in high resolution to my old printer (Photosmart C4480) using exactly the same page, put in place and print settings.

It is not that the new printer can print high resolution image they come out very well if I print from Windows Explorer. I use Windows 7.

    Any ideas appreciated!

    Hi Paul,.

It seems that the problem is caused by a driver compatibility problem.  I'd like you try to change the driver of another driver, such as the HP Deskjet 9800 driver to see if printing even issue follows or is fixed.

Shane_R has a great thread with information on how to exchange for another pilot.  For information, click here.

    Let me know the result.

    Hello @kalicattori,

Welcome to the HP support forums.

I understand that you have a problem printing from your tablet.

    I would like to help.

The problem you describe sounds like the one I saw with a cloud of Google print.

    You print chrome?

If Yes, select 'change the destinatiom '.

This should bring up a list of destinations, and you simply need to select your printer.

If you do not print from the Chrome browser, then try the following.

    • Uninstall plugin HP Printing Service.
    • Turn off the Tablet and then turn it back on.
    • Re-install plugin HP Printing Service.

If I could have it please more description on the steps you take to send a print job, I'll be better able to find a solution.

Alternatively, you can call our Cloud Services to 855-785-2777.
