6.2 report of settings / models

Hello

6.1, we were relying on report models that were more or less simplified out models of the box versions.  For example, we took the SpecSummaryView, renamed it SpecSummaryTrade, removed everything but the model spec commercial and registered EqtUIModelDefinitions.xml.  It worked in point 6.1.  6.2, with the same configuration, you get a stack trace when opening the popup of report parameter, which provides the following:

Exceptions: System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. -> Xeno.Prodika.Common.AssertionException: see model incorrect URL: SearchableView:Config:ProdikaSettings/EQTConfiguration/SearchableMultiSelectViews, SpecSummaryViewTrade

How this feature has worked in the backend change 6.2?  If we could get some tips on how we can build a custom model / view on the back of a report RPT parameter.

Thank you

Drew

Opinion: I add my SpecSummaryViewTrade under the models/ProdikaReporting node

  • Test report reminder settings

    Hello

In the test reminder report I am tempted to call a sous-suite which will create a custom (in addition to the default report) report.  The problem I encounter is most of the information for the custom report is located in "MainSequence.Locals."  Is there a method to pass variables via 'TestReport.Parameter' or find it using the RunState stack?

    Thank you!

I don't think you can access the inhabitants of your performance filled with MainSequence - they are ignored when the MainSequence returns the entry point of recall process model MainSequence. Assuming you are using the recall of test report in your test sequence file, if you moved/copied information to the FileGlobals of your test sequence file before leaving the MainSequence, then the recall of test report in your test sequence file could see them.

    Hope this helps

  • Essbase report script match model alias

    report scriptHi,

I need help about script report essbase.  I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to use the script essbase report command "< MATCH" so that I can match a sequence on the alias rather than the name of the member name. I searched the Internet without success. Maybe someone in this community knows how to do this.  If you can answer with a specific example that could help out me as I am very visual.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, first of all - I should have directed you to MATCHEX; which allows you to specify if you want to search for names, pseudonyms or both, no matter what you come back to the report. Much better.

This requirement is difficult because as you have seen, the * generic cannot be used at the end of the model. Also, you should use? that means that a single character.

    A few options:

Search for '? Setting 'and '? Setting' and so on until 70 marks (!) the question and click on LINK to union all results. Not elegant!

Create a UDA and tag accounts adjustment like this - I would do that anyway, I do not rely on an alias.

    Hello Sanjay

To change the report model, you need to change your report, go to report attributes and under the section 'Layout' and paging you can change your report model. You will need to change it for all reports on the page.

  • Using results of a report as settings for another report to the Disco

I was wondering is it possible to use the results of a report as parameters to another. For example, a report that produces a list of let say number of employees. Can these employees number then injected into another report, it's settings, instead of manually select employees. I use discoverer 4.1.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello
Because you are using Desktop it may be possible. Office has a way to transmit the results of one column to a second worksheet.

    Here is a simple workflow:
    1. create the spreadsheet that will generate the list of employee numbers
    2. create the worksheet (in the same workbook) that must use the list of numbers
3 create a new condition on the number of employees and in the drop-down list, select Create subquery
    4. in the dialog box, select the worksheet, and the column that you want to use, and then click the OK button
    5 test that it works

Discoverer 10 and 11 Oracle introduced what is called hyper exercises where a user can drill a pre-built map sheet to another pre-built, passing the values of parameter or the cell of the first sheet in the second as parameters. Both worksheets not even need to be in the same workbook.

However, even this feature can be used to transmit the entire result set, so because you use Desktop I think you'll be fine.

Furthermore, anyone reading what is using 10 g or 11 g the same feature exists in Desktop here too. The cool thing is that if you create a new workbook with a worksheet that uses a subquery in a different worksheet in the office 10g or 11g and then open the workbook in more or spectator the subquery will still work. The not so cool, is that you can only create and maintain these subqueries use of Google Desktop.

    Best wishes

  • Report of missing Model Builder page layout

When I went to edit a report in 10g, I found that the display of the page layout template is missing.

The fields and executives are all visible in the object browser, but they just do not appear in the page layout screen.

Y at - it an easy way to solve this problem – or do I have to rebuild the relationship by queries?

    Hello
first u make sure that model of layout,
    totally three sections are here
    (1) header section
    (2) main section
    (3) section trailer

I think that you control the page layout in the section header or trailer

first of all you must check in the main section
If this isn't there, you can with two other sections,

in these three sections not available in you're layout, go the browser of the object in the main section--> select a few fields and repeating the framework
and apply the black color of red in the selected fields and executives of repetition

After this check, you're layout model

  • Creating a report with several models of data...

Use of BI publisher for Word 10.1.3.4

I'm trying to create a template in Word format with report parameters, that I created in BI Publisher.

I created two data models, the two tables different references I need on the report itself. The question that I've seen is whenever I use the table, rowset Wizard is grayed and only the default data model (sql query) can be used.

I looked around and was unable to find a solution to this.

    Hello

You must set as main data Source of concatenated dataset. Otherwise, only one set of data is used.

  • Set the font size in the generation of explicit report using a model

Does anyone know how to set the font size using the generation of explicit report with MS Word?  I have trouble getting my 11th column to fit the correct size with the imported data table.  The values end up being off the screen.  Any ideas?

I suspect that the answer is somewhere within MS Word instead of LabVIEW.  However, I tried it figure out in both and had no luck.  In WORD, I updated all fonts size = 10.  However, the table is imported to the format = 12.  In addition, the table cells are the same size, regardless of the number of columns is imported.

    David

Just for future visitors to this question are aware, it is a known problem with the generation of report express vi.  There is no solution at this time and the problem will be resolved in future versions of LabVIEW.

  • in 10 g reports user settings

I created a user setting with a list of values, which selects the values from the table that the user will actually pull the data.  After you have created the User parameter, then go to the SQL code of the actual report and put in where x = '(:UserParamater)'.  But when I run the report and select the value in the list, the report displays empty.  When I replace the User parameter and just 'hardcode' the real value, the report runs very well.  what Miss me?

    Oracle reports 10.1.2.0.2.

    Thank you

    Steven

You don't need to surround your setting in the quotes, parentheses, etc...

Your main SQL should look like

    SELECT employe_id, employee_name, date_of_birth

    The EMPLOYEE

    WHERE employee_gender =: gender equality;

On the assumption that: the sex is the name of your user setting.

  • More than 4 colors of background with a report model line?

    Hello

I have 4 different case showing the lines of 4 different colors of background correspondents report. It works fine, but now I have a 5th case with a 5th color, but the model fields are limited to 4 entries...

    An idea for a workaround?

    Thank you Jürgen

Combine approach of Tyler with a personalized report named column model.

Determine a class for the line in the query:

    select
              empno
            , ename
            , sal
            , case
when sal < 1000 then 'low'
when sal between 1000 and 2000 then 'medium'
when sal > 2000 then 'high'
              end sal_class
    from
              emp

Create a custom report named column model, with reference to the class in the model line:

    #EMPNO##ENAME##SAL#

Next, create a style sheet to apply the required funds:

    tr.low td { background-color: yellow; }
    tr.medium td { background-color: white; }
    tr.high td { background-color: red; }

  • Can I change the name of the object to measure report

Hi, I'm new to TS! Can I change the name of the object to measure report? Who can help me. Thanks in advance!

«Under normal circumstances, I finished the test USE, TS generated the report like this "report [13-29-06] [4F492CAB04] [2012-11-28] .html'.»

Can I change something, when TS report will like this"report [13-29] [4F492CAB04] [2012-11-28] .html' without seconds!

One way is to modify the process template.

Locals.ReportFilePath saves the name of the report. You can access only functions (such as SerachAndReplace) to create the new ReportFilePath.

In the model sequential process step determine the path of the report file provides the path to the report file using the report options settings. Custom code can be placed after this step.

Okay, maybe this constant is not declared in 5.5.8.2 yet. Just replace-1
