  playing with lightroom3, I got a bsod during the construction of a webgallery...

  Since lightroom does not start... Lightroom starts directly in the webgallery lightroom screen tries to rebuild the webgallery previews, the mouse coursor is transformed into the wait icon and lightroom gets lightgray and unresponsive... no chance of clicking don't cancel this action or switching screens, cause lr does not...

  I tried to start without a catalogue or with another new one-> the same...

  can I start lightroom in the defalut library screeen? or y at - it a cache of lightroom action that I can delete?

• Lightroom does not start after the upgrade to Windows 10, Version 1511, 10586

  Hi all

  After the upgrade to Windows 10, 1511 Version, lightroom 10586 CC can't be launched. Adobe cloud nor any link office or file system path to the files directly program. Lightroom.exe can be seen in the Task Manager for a second and then disappears to nirvana. No answer, no trace.

  What should do?

  standard things as uninstall - re - install, stop between the two, log out of the clouds - connect to the cloud, register of audit were made in several variants without success!

  Thanks Tanuj. I started LR 6.4 so that I don't waste more time. I'm very uncomfortable with Terminal solutions and download things to install from sources not adobe. I'm a photographer, not a programmer, and I'm worried about ruining my system trying to do things that I don't understand. When adobe will solve the problem with a real update? I'll wait for that.

  I try very hard to be polite and wise. I'm not a troll. It's extremely frustrating, however. This is the second time in 6 months that Adobe has made the software I use unusable through these updates. Why the hell do they do that? If I treated my customers this way I would be unemployed.

  What version of Lightroom?

  With Lr closed go to the location where your catalog (by default it is pictures/Lightroom)

  Remove the . Lock file with the same name as your catalog. For example, in the image below, it is Lightroom4 catalog.lrat.lock

  

  In your case, it will be Lightroomcatalog.lrcat.lock(Lightroom6/cc)

  Restart Lightroom

• 6 Lightroom does not start correctly

  LIghtroom 6a fonctionnee om my 10 (x 64) of Windows without problem for 6 months. After the installation of a slide (CyberViewX) scanner and a regular update to Win 10 that occurred automatically when closing down the computer, the 6 Lightroom does not start correctly since I restarted the computer. I uninstalled the scanner CyberViewX program and rebooted the computer again. The only thing that happens when you try to open LR6 is a message that an error has occurred when opening the catalog. I do not have a backup catalog, and there is a button where I can choose a different catalog. When you press this button I find the backup catalog, but when I chose this catalogue I go back to the original message and the backup catalog was obviously not chosen. There is a button to create a new catalog as well and when I press this button I just in my photo folder and there seems to be no way to create a catalog or open LR6. This form of dialogue is obviously not working correctly.

  There was a lock by the catalog file, and I deleted this file. I also tried all the tricks LR running as an administrator and assign full privileges for all users of my photo file.

  The only thing I have not tried is to uninstall and reinstall the whole LR6, but I have a lot of photos and work so I hesitate to do this without knowing that it is necessary and if sure that I can get everything back in order with the old catalog and all restored. Anyway to fix corrupted with the installation DVD files?

  Hi bjomb,

  You suggest to choose the option to create a catalog and give it the name once you get the pictures folder window, and then choose create.

  This would create a new catalog.

  check if it opens the new catalog, and it passes under the background processes in the Task Manager.

  If it does not, then you need to reinstall Lightroom program and it would not affect your changes as changes are stored in the catalogues and catalogues remain it is same when the resettlement.

• Two iMacs does not start after the 10.11.4 update.

  Two iMacs does not start after the 10.11.4 update.  Progress bar starts moving and then text appears on the black screen saying unexpected sigkill to launchd.  He then gets stuck in a loop trying to start.  Tried to reset the SMC and LANDAU.  Without success.  Started in recovery mode and ran disk utility.  Discs said OK.  Chose to reinstall OS X from the list of options in the recovery mode (assuming it would be 10.11.4).)  Installation is finished but still once does not start.  Reinstalled on 10.11.0 successfully from a USB key and downloaded the 10.11.4 combo updater.  Installation seems to work, but once again, the macs will not start.  Same 'unexpected launchd sigkill' error.  A mac is now back working properly with 10.11.3 the other will be shortly.  Is there a problem with the accession?  Our COMPUTER support use Munki to get updates from one day to the next.  Fortunately, we were able to stop it before the other 20 or if Mac had the same problem.

  More information: two bricks iMacs were late 2013 models.  A 21 "and a 27.  We have just updated a test iMac which was a late model 2012 using the 10.11.4 combo updater.
