    Hello

I would like to know is there is a list of the CPU compatible to your laptop HP G7 - 2030ca. I currently have a Core i3 - 2350 m. I found a document showing a Core i5 - 2450 m should be compatible, but I would like to know if there are any other Core i5 (or maybe dual core i7) that are compatible with this device. Maybe even third gen Core i5, anyone know?

Thank you very much for your help,

    Hi Matt,

You can find a list of compatible processors on Page 82 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Note:  I do not work for HP, but looking at the degree of disassembly required, I guess that would void any warranty (if any) If you do the work yourself.

    Hello
Can anyone please share your script to give a list because if all VMHost / total number of CPU of ESX managed by VCenter which is available?
It is for me to be able to determine what VMhost I can deploy my VM avoids vCPU allocation.
I understand that the best practice is maximum 4 vCPU unique VM by heart, so here's the example:
    Core 2 x 6 = 12 available vCPU
This is why there may be a maximum of 12 x 4 = 48 maximum used total vCPU.

    Hi again

IF you have a csv of the report to use this 1 line:

    $(foreach ($vmhost dans get-vmhost) {$vms $vmhost = | get - vm;})  $vmsVcpucount =($vms|) Measure - Object - property-sum numcpu) .sum; ""| Select @{N = 'Host'; County of E = {$vmhost. • HPE-170f: compatibility CPU HPE-170f i7 980 x Extreme

I want to upgrade my CPU to the highest possible. Documentation says socket 1366 and the extreme of the 900 series, but I don't know if Gulftown is supported because the documentation says that Bloomfield. Anyone know?

It is not worth it to upgrade to the extreme i7 980 x as it's $ 300 minimum, used, if you are going to upgrade your cpu, why not upgrade the processor and the motherboard? If you have $ 400 you could get an i7 4790 k with a card mother lga 1156 which is the best processor, you can bypass this spice, if you are looking for extreme performance and really want the last go for x 5960 (very expensive) i7 with the latest motherboards, a LGA2011-V3 with DDR4 ram which is basically future proof.

If you just want to upgrade the cpu GET:

Intel Xeon W3690, which is the best lga 1366 without overclocking and is cheaper than $ 100, it's around $ 200 used on ebay, and you will need a graphics card to power your computer, because it is a server cpu works AMAZINGLY on everything and runs faster than the i7 980 x. Any lga 1366 motherboard will support it. all depends on your budget.

1: I have never seen a list of compatibility for Thinprint, but I guess that most of the printers will work without problem.  We have at least 20 different types of printers and the only one I ever had problems with was the Xerox Phaser.

2: I guess it depends how you try to map the scanner.   If it's a multi function printer/scanner/fax that it can work, but if you try to use the USB redirection, then he's going to need a driver.

3: in my limited testing, it should work without problems.  Actually I stole just my poster session that was on my desktop connected to my laptop and it mapped my unique portable printers.

    CPU replacement

Hello!  I replace the CPU in my HP P6310F.  According to this literature, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01949155 , I have an AMD Phenom II X 4 Quad-Core 9xx/9xxe/8xx (Deneb).  My understanding has always been that "9xx" means any phenom II in the class of the 900 series.

I bought a retail Phenom II X 4 965 Black Edition, part HDZ965FBGMBOX number, installed and get the error message: CPU support is not installed message.  After searching and reading about the error message and other messages, it seems it might be due to the 'black edition' and/or because it is 125 watts.  It was the answer to a few others in the same situation as me.

Can you please tell me why this CPU is not compatible and please help me with a list of compatible CPU?

This is also in the 9xx series, but is it at 125W

    HDZ955FBK4DGM AMD Phenom II X processor 4 955 - Quad Core, 6 MB of Cache L3, 2 MB L2 Cache, 3.20 GHz, Socket AM3, 125W, fanless, OEM

This lies in the 9xx series and is 95W

AMD HDX945WFGIBOX Phenom II X 4 945 Quad Core Processor - 3.00 GHz, 6 MB of Cache, bus front to 2000 MHz (4000 MT/s), retail, Socket AM3, processor with fan

The stock processor is an AMD Athlon II X 4 630, 95W

I can provide any other information you may need, thank you very much!

There is no AMD Black Edition CPU that are compatible with any PC HP desktop.

That's what the problem is related to. Black Edition CPU are special processors who have discovered the multipliers for amateur quality motherboards. You could not access the multipliers to overclock the CPU with the motherboard you have installed it anyway.

Even if you choose, buy and install one of the microprocessors in maintenance & service Guide there is no guarantee HP which will be exploited.

You should also be aware that installing a different CPU than your office has been delivered with the warranty.

    Sorry to bear bad news.

The good news is that the processors listed in the maintenance department & guide reputable reports of upgrade in discussions in the forum, to run.

  • Z210 - temperature max of CPU & cooling concerns

    My Z210 has 16 GB of RAM, a V5900, 2x15K + controller SAS drives video card, a 10K SATA-3 Player and a small SSD.

RealTemp reports on a typical day, four cores run from 28 ° C to 58 ° C, depending on the load.

Specs on this CPU show a max of 69.1 ° C temp.

I would like to widen the gap between the highest temperature and max, if there is a way. Might be a little overkill. I don't see any additional fan for the CMT (small Tower) case option. Is that what I could do to cool the computer a bit more?

    DRM for your help!

    Phil and Skylarking,

I did some research, convoluted and here's what I discovered.  I think that you have found, Phil, is for a rear chassis fan.  Here's the info on the card holders guide/fan front frame for your workstation and other listed workstations.  I saw that a model of HP associated kits front fan over time... a kit at a very reasonable price which includes holder/maps of fan guides plastic black of the workstation several different and a single fan that fits inside included plastic parts.  I guess you're supposed to throw the others.  It is important to purchase the HP kit before they have passed, because the individual parts become hard to find and expensive, later.

The image of the kit for your workstation shows 3 different guides/owner and a fan.  The black plastic holder/guide you would use is upstairs in the Center.  Note that the one in upper right is only a fan... support no guide slots are present on this one.  Don't know what work, but most likely is for the Z600/Z800:

Here is a photo of a chassis fan of this workstation and with that color, that I'd be willing to bet that there is a fan with two bars of orientation that HP has used on other workstations for their fans to chassis.   They had that same color brown-orange apertures, for 4 pins, the usual order of wiring PWM, but only the thin lips of direction along each outer edge of the card.  This is in contrast with that HP has used as fan plug ends for memory and chipset, fans, which have 3 bars of orientation.  If you look at the motherboard fan headers, it is easy to see the difference between the two types.  Header of motherboard PWM type (usually white) Cap common 3 grooves will a plastic tab sticking up which only runs the width of 3 of the 4 pins.  2 HP fan PWM header Ridge chassis plug (usually brown-orange) motherboard will have a tab that runs the entire width of all 4 pins.  On my xw6600s memory 92x92x25mm fan and the rear frame paired two cooling fans are the same exact PMW fans except for their part numbers and use of the two different types/colors of the fan plug ends.  The chipset fan plug is also the type of the white Ridge 3.

Newer workstations such as the Z620 are moving away from these conventions, to a certain extent.

The chassis before cooling fan on the xw6600 header is for type 2 Ridge connector 4-wire fan, and I've personally seen that also for the xw6400, xw8400, xw8600, Z600 and headers of fan before the Z620 of the workstation.  On the Z620 with that I helped yesterday 2 type of crest of the fan before care was white (instead of the usual color brown-orange HP uses for their taken chassis cooling fan).

However, the fan will be in the kit and you will get the case HP PWM cooling scheme they have designed in.  I bet it will be the fan in the kit, perhaps without the plastic grid, and those who are nice and quiet:

If you try to buy by itself you will pay a lot... but check the price for the complete kit from HP below.  The 'Option' HP part number for the kit is A2Z46AA:

Compatibility is always a problem, and expanding this link from HP homepage, you can see the official info from HP.  Your CMT Z210 is included.  The same fan and the greatest guide support/card fan in the kit would be used for larger jobs.  After working on Z620 recently I think that his kit is different, in the way, and is not in the list of compatibility.  Its front cooling fan looked like a 120mm.  Here is the list of your kit:

I also found the PDF which shows how to do the installation, and you can find with a goggle «Z210 front fan and fan Support Facility» research  It's attached below.

I posted here recently on how to "Ghetto Mod" to add to a price in a front 92mm fan to enjoy the front fan on motherboards xw6400/xw6600 header, and leave the PDF file, it seems that method would work here too.  However, $ 15.00 for the complete kit of HP I would go the Mod 'official' way instead.

    Scott
