  Go ahead and install the equipment.  If you're worried, see the web site of the manufacturer to ensure that you have the latest version of the driver there (it may be newer than the driver on the CD that came with the hardware).

  That's right, that's why I posted the link to a service guide for the laptop. The map is mentioned in this manual, so no BIOS modding is needed. There are 2 compatible adapters, but Intel is better than Broadcom...

• Problems with N5050 wireless

  Hi I've had problems with a wireless N5050 for six months now. He was inconsistent and little by little do worse even if the signal always displays also available. I have a N5030 who has never had any problem to connect to the same wireless network. I tried to reinstall the drivers. I tried to change the configuration wireless between WEP / WPA etc...
