There is no way to get the OS 7 or 7.1 on the 9700.

OS6 is the limit. I'm sorry.

Does anyone know that Bold 9700 will get 6.0 OS updated in the future?

    A few weeks ago

Several carriers have already made official OS6 for the 9700.

    And here's one:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=15CF76466B97264765356FCC56D801D1

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

I didn't belive unit updated their SDK for BlackBerry ID support chips.  You can use the link on the form of signature for BlackBerry 10.1 below, allowing you to ask the SJC of files that you can use to sign with the unit.  We have not a tutorial on our site for the signature in the unit.  Best to check their documentation for these steps.

  • Authenticate Passport company impossible Gmail for the first time blackBerry

    Hello!

I recently returned to BB from a Samsung with Android phone.

On my Samsung I could send, receive, read, etc... E-mail (Gmail) of the company where I work.

On the BB I unfortunately was not able to get going (again).

I was able to configure my Gmail private messaging standard on the BB but software.

The bump is caused because the society Gmail is no standard Gmail, but corporate Gmail that gets redirected to the company's Web site first.

Here are the steps required to configure corporate-Gmail on my Samsung.

    1. I go to settings and press 'add an account '.
    2. I press on "Google".
    3. I have type "existing".
    4. on the next screen that appears, I press the button menu of the phone and a
Popup saying 'Sign-in browser' appears, I type this.
    5. the standard login screen Google appears, here I do not insert a mailadress to le-gmaildotcom, but I enter my e-mail address to ericssondotcom (yes I work at Ericsson) as username and insert my password.
    6. then I am redirected to the companywebsite. Here, I have to insert the username that I received earlier to log on the website of the company, which is different from my ericsson-company email address - I use (d) to connect to gmail. Password is the same good.
    7. after that I 'return' to the phone to configure some other settings.

When I try on the BB, I quickly get a 404 error, with "the server cannot locate the page Web... check the URL, etc...".

    Any idea?

    You wanted more explanation?

    TNX!

    Hooray!

    Had, it's going!

    The steps followed:

Opened my Gmail from the standard webbrowser on my BB.

    In Gmail:

I enabled IMAP in my Gmail settings.

    Permit 2-step authentication.

Created a "pasword App" for mail on Blackberry.

Added my BB/webbrowser as being approved.

    On my BB:

In 'Add account', I chose advanced, then IMAP.

Username and email my business email address.

Password the password to specific app previously generated in Gmail.

    Address of the server: imap.gmail.com

    port 993

SMTP Username: same as email of company

    SMTP-serveradress: imap.gmail.com

    port 465

  • Phone number for the change of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a Blackberry Curve 9360 and receive the unwelcome calls. How to get the number changed?

    Thank you very much.

    1. your mobile operator changes your number, it is not a function within the BlackBerry itself, other than to insert a new SIM card with new number. You begin this process with your mobile operator.

    2. you have your phone number listed on your 'My Mobile provider' or the carrier. Put your phone number on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change this, at the top of this page, click my settings > personal profile > personal information and in the entrance of the block of type 'Carrier' the name of your mobile operator.

Display your number like that on a public forum could be a source of nuisance calls.

    Good luck.

  • Address book for the transfer of blackBerry Smartphones

I got a new blackberry to my company because my old had hardware problems.  I would like to transfer my address book from my old to my new blackberry.  When I use the Desktop Manager to do this and make a backup and then proceed to do a restore of the AddressBook is grayed out on the left side. In order to transfer to my new blackberry.

I even tried the device switch Wizard and he transferred a game that I downloaded from my old blackberry to my new but my address book, calendar, tasks, Notes and password Keeper not transferred. I'm not on an Entreperise of Blackberry server.  She just basically transfer my information from a Blackberry to the new.

This is the same model (8130) for the Blackberry.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Thank you

Oh dear - your new device has a COMPUTER policy. And, since you received the device in your company, you must seek their help because it is most likely that it is this policy that prevents you from doing what you want to...

Now, if they come back and say "we don't know anything about"... so there are some things that you can do... all are 100% destructive of any data that you have on your BB, then plan on what it is once more "nines"...

  • Numbers of numbering for the speed of blackBerry Smartphones

Is it possible to change the speed on the following letters dial:

A-I don't want the lock here button.

W don't want Voicemail here.  -Why wouldn't Blackberry put this under V (voicemail) given that most people probably wouldn't use this key for a speed dial?

I can't find a way to change these two.

w because it's also the 1 key... logic.

    Press the green phone button
    Menu button
    Select "speed dial list.
Amine for the 'A' and press on enter. (Return key)
    Select new contact

When you perform a battery pull reboot or if you upgraded the operating system, default is the default setting and you will just need to change it again.

  • Issue of guardian for the password of blackBerry Smartphones

I like this app on my 9700, but affected by the loss of the phone and ergo my long list of passwords that I haven't recorded anywhere else in a nice centralized fashion.  In any case to remove what I have on the phone in order to print and keep safely between my mattress?  Or it is only available when I save?  How to get out of here if I don't get another BB right?  Thanks for the ideas.

The password Keeper app is a basic application, without frills and other features.

It is included in the backup made with Desktop Manager. It is not visible via the backup... you can try to use a software on your PC that reads the backup IPD files, MenaStep MagicBerry or ABC Amber IPD Extractor to read the IPD file.

But otherwise, it is intended on the use of the device.

If you want a more complete password recommended guardian app, try KeePass or DataVault.

Both have PC interface you want.

Is there any truth to this? I checked the link to Blackberry and got a message saying that the page was not found.

My favorite is the technical term that they use "very comprehensive."

    It is indeed a hoax.

A hoax message circulating on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) asks users to message BBM to their contacts in order to maintain the BBM service and claims to have been sent originally by Research In Motion (RIM).

Be assured that this BBM message did not come from the RIM and that it does not affect the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a string of hoax message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications in the face of this scenario, according to which no message, including a hoax message, can be transmitted to a user of one of their contacts. I think I did everything correctly. Moved the images to the external drive according to the instructions provided by Microsoft for Windows 8. Everything worked well. Everything else in Lightroom seems to work very well. However, he stopped just create previews of standard size.

The little message stopped dirty left to proceed with the number of cases handled for standard previews. This message has completely disappeared. But now, a few days later, files open quickly to display full screen. I guess that Lightroom quietly kept their background processing. How will I know if a photo has a standard preview? It should open full screen in a Flash? Is there metadata to show the size of the preview. How can I be sure.

By the way, thanks for the input to this beginner.

  • Do we not have to change the settings for the virtual machine once moved from 2.5 ESX to vSphere 4.1?

    Hi guys,.

I just wanted to check, once the virtual machines are migrated from ESX 2.5, 2.5 Vcenter to ESX 4.1, Vcenter 4.1 of the NFS datastore on the iSCSI data store.

Do I have to make changes to the vm settings?

To use the features to enhance available with ESX 4.1 what I need to change the virtual disk to logical Bus to LSI logic? What is recommended or is not serious?

It will be very useful for me to know if there is any need for changes to be made other than on the virtual machine upgrade vmware tools.

    Thank you

Yes, if delete you the vendor.xml file.

directions for those who have not.

Your carier may ask you to go back to their version before give you a guarantee or support claim.

But if you llike to play, then have some fun.

I had some problems with OS 6 in the past. So to make it work every time. I use loader.exe to install the new OS with these directions instead of Desktop Manager. YMMV.

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

or use the link on the first post.

    2. make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry.

    3. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. This step may not be necessary, use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) on your device.

6 remove the internet connection for PC and reboot. (this is necessary to stop referencing the file vedor.xml)

    7. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

    8. restoration of applications, settings, etc. from a backup.

Take advantage of the new operating system.

  • Sign up for the service push BlackBerry 10

    Hello

I'm trying to implement the blackberry for BB10 push notification.

I have camera z10. My device doesn't have a sim card. I use internet through Wi - Fi.

When I call the function below is to show some mistakes. 'blackberry.push.openBISPushListener '.

Please let me know, for recording in the push notification service, if the Sim Card and BIS are necessary or not.

    Please help me.

The API you noted (openBISPushListener) is a Legacy BBOS API for BBOS 5.0 - 7.1

For BlackBerry 10, you will need to take advantage PushService.create approach:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/beta/BlackBerry.push.pushservice.html

    Direct API documentation:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/beta/blackberry_push_PushService_create.html

EDIT: Push via WiFi is completely valid.

I'm having a problem with my BB10 Android runtime, it fails when you try to contact CWM and therefore do not send a token valid push on our server.

I followed the instructions to the letter here: http://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/creating_push-enabled_android_apps.html

My BAR a /android/android.cfg file that looks like:

          215-513Bxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
          http://cp215.pushapi.na.blackberry.com
          bb-

The credentials are the production and worked when they tested them.

/ META-INF/MANIFEST. MF has the following line adds automatically via the Nature Blackberry plugin:

Running a push of the application works very well with android, but it does not work with my BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha, and we also tried with a Z10. The Alpha DEV us running OS 10.2.0.341.

There were a few problems of verification of BlackBerry I'm not sure if they are relevant or not:

    uses-permission: com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE:required minimal OS version=10.0.9

the operating system is running well version 10.2.0.341 on the DevAlpha.

A possible cause of this problem uses the SDK Service software play Google to enable GDM. Play Google Service is not supported on BlackBerry 10 is why any reference to the API of GCM would fail.

Using the stand-alone GCM library should still work on BlackBerry 10 and is still said to be supported by Google:
