I do not have these 2 files newspapers... in the destination mentioned

Is no question, the create controlfile statement specifies redo filenames - if they do not exist, the Forum could gripe about it, but they will be created at the start of the backup database redo information.

And if you don't like the names, this problem, which is:

-- change:
... group 1 '\O1_MF_1_80L7C259_.LOG' size ... ,
group 2 '\O1_MF_2_80L7C375_.LOG' size ...
-- to
'C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\oradata\XE\redo\redo01.dbf' size ... ,
'C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\oradata\XE\redo\redo02.dbf' size ...
-- if you want three redo files that's fine too- add group 3 ...
, group 3 'C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\oradata\XE\redo\redo03.dbf' size ...

You will have to make the folder "remake", part complete must be a valid directory. The "out of the box" installation program in the tenth place redo files in the flash recovery area. And FRA imposes an arbitrary size limit, 10 GB, I think. Better to point files redo to a different folder, not in the location of the FRA.

Redo files can also have several members, for extra protection. If at least one member of a group of redo is integrated the database will continue to run. Specify additional members with:

group 1 ( '\redo01.dbf', '\redo01.dbf' ) size ... ,
group 2 ( '\redo02.dbf', '\redo02.dbf' ) size ... ,
group 3 ( '\redo03.dbf', '\redo03.dbf' ) size ...

I always name the files redo with an extension .dbf, at one point, there was a system administrator I looking a little too aggressive log files that "had to be cleaned up to save space.

Good for him, he has released a few MB of disk space.

Bad for me, the instance crashes as soon as he tried to write in a missing file again.

  • tablespace and data files not synchronized

    Hello
    I'm under 10.2.0.1.0 Oracle instance.
    got an error like:

ORA-01652: unable to extend segment temp of 128 in tablespace TEMP.

    resolution, I've tried:
I added 2 database files each of 2 GB in TEMP tablespace.

then I re-run same query got the same error message.

On OEM, the TEMP tablespace and data files that it contains are not synchronized.

When I added a few .dbf in tablespace TEMP it has not yet calculated space and space occupaid.

Is anyway I can make TEMP tablespace and .dbf in tablespace TEMP in sync... ?
    anyhelp is fine
    I'm stuck... ?

    Thank you

    Hello

You should have added tempfiles and not the datafiles, right?

Why didn't you not adjust existing files to autoextend on? And you can try adding space via Enterprise Manager itself.

Tried all that precedes, and nothing has worked. I don't think it would be though, it is a new installation of windows 7 with very little installed. I wasn't expecting to find any virus/malware. The only thing found was an adware but removing those does not solve the problem.

Edit: Uninstall and reinstall firefox did not work either.
Edit2: I initially deleted all cookies associated with google and it does not work. I went back and remove all cookies, and it works now. Sorry I don't know what cookie was the cause of the problem.

  • Roll forward standby database with the incremental backup, when a data file is deleted in primary education

    Hello

I'm nologging operations + deleting some files in the primary and you want to roll forward the day before using the incremental backup Yvert.

I do in particular, as the files are dropped?

I got to meet ( Doc ID 1531031.1 ) which explains how to roll forward when a data file is added.

If I follow the same steps, to make the move to restore the data file newly added, will it work in my case?

    Can someone please clarify?

    Thank you

    San

I was wondering if reocover noredo is performed before restored controlfile, oracle will apply the incremental backup error-free files, and in this case, what would be the status of the data file in the control file.

Why do you consider to retrieve the day before first and then in the restaurant of the controlfile will lead to problems. Please read my first post on this thread - I had clearly mentioned that you would not face problems if you go with the method of deployment.

Here is a demo for you with force logging is disabled. For the first time the day before resuming and restored then the controlfile ensures:

    Primary: oraprim

  • Backup of database data files

Question: I have a primary and backup database. From now all the files data on both primary and standby time are in the same place, unfortunately, space can be added to my primary database. My question is, can you still maintain a database of relief if the physical location of the data files is not on the same mount point? that is to say:

Primary data file: /u01/app/oracle/user_data01.dbf--> Standby datafile: /u03/app/oracle/user_data01.dbf

I know I have to transform the management of the cancellation to the MANUAL file to make such a change, but can I turn back to AUTO after I finished to move this file? Thank you guys

The customer has chosen to make a bad decision.

    You have two choices.

    1. compound it by agreeing to assume responsibility for their risk
    2. If you want to tell them that they must sign an agreement accepting full responsibility in case of failure.

Choose wisely: they do not have.

Personally, I refused to accompany customers who try to pass the risk of their bad decisions in my ability to sleep at night.

  • Can register on EM and Admin Console but not Analytics - down presentation server

I installed 11G on Windows 7 Enterprise. I am able to sign on Enterprise Manager and the Administration Console but not in analytics.

The presentation server is down and there is a message in the nqserver.log about a problem with the oracle.bi.security.service. I pasted the nqserver.log and the sawlog0.log file and the file nqsconfig.ini below.

I checked the BISystemUser into the realms of Weblogic Administration Console/security/myrealm and reset the password.

I also have to reset the password for BISystemUser in Weblogic Enterprise Manager/WebLogic Domain/Security/Credentials/oracle.bi.system

    Then restarted services.

I checked to see that there's no lock on DEV_MDS and DEV_BIPLATFORM.

I tried to restart the services on several occasions without any modification.

I don't know what else to check or how to proceed. Is there anything else I should check to identify what I might need to the difficulty of obtaining this race?

  • Transportable tablespaces and data files

    Hello

I wonder if the following is possible.

    With the help of 11.2.0.3

Export datapump job to export an entire table every day to dumpfile daily functioning

Then, slide old partitions for example 1 day

About destination databased days later (imgaeine 4) if need import current dumpfile and datafile for the affected tablespace that will import the deleted partition (that is, the 1st day

    Thank you

I'm a little confused as to what you're asking, but since you're on 11.2.0.3 you have called transportable table mode.  You can export a single partition of a table using transportable tablespace data movement.  It helps a lot when you create a new storage space for each partition.  It also works if you do not have, but there are a lot of additional data you need to store.  Let me give you an example:

    table foo with:

    partition 1 - tablespace 1 - day 1

    partition 2 - tablespace 2 - day 2

    partition 3 - tablespace 3 - day 3

    partition 4 - tablespace 4 - day 4

If you were to run this export:

    tables of user/password = foo:partition1 transportable expdp = always dumpfile = foo_part1.dmp...

you would get a dumpfile with just partition1.  You must save the dumpfile and the data file if you ever need to restore.  To restore it, run a command like:

    Impdp username/password DB11G = dumpfile = foo_part1.dmp...

It would be important only the partition, and it would create a table called foo_partition1.  You can then use the swap partition to put back in the table where you need restored.

If all of these scores have been in the same table, you could do the same thing for export and import, but you would need to keep a copy of the dumpfile with a copy of the storage space for every day.  Then

day 1 - would thus dumpfile datafile with just data from day 1

day 2 - would thus dumpfile data file with data from day 1 and the day2

day 3 - would thus dumpfile datafile on day 1, day 2 + data of the day 3

    etc.

The reason for this is because the import checks that the tablespace that has the same features when it was exported.  It uses a checksum or something to verify this.  So, if you've added data to day 2, the data file would not be the same and the import fails.

    I hope this helps.

  • segments and data files

can someone clarify me the following...

If a table space includes a number of segments... is that true

-A table space can contain a number of files, each consisting of a number of segments of. ?

Also when a table partitioning is involved,... lets say partition us a table on two separate drives,... a segment would be placed in a data file on disc one and the other segment placed in a data file on disk B... but where information held relating to the global table (if that makes sense... that is to say where would hold information on partitions ,, ?)

    Any help would be appreciated

-A table space can contain a number of files, each consisting of a number of segments of. ?

True and true half. Segments in a tablespace may extend in all, part or all of the data in this table files. User has no command to specify what datafile inside a tablespace should be used for a segment.

but where information held relating to the global table

The attributes of the table is stored in the metadata, and it is in the SYSTEm tablespace. However, a partitioned table has a default tablespace associated with it. Partitions that you do not specify that a tablespace to go.

Example: MP_OHDB is default tablespace of the table but each subpartition in it's own tablespace bit!
