A doc for rules

Hi all

Is there any document better how to create rules in foglight complex?

Thank you

Ramanantsoa

You can start with the help on the sidebar tab right.

What you'll find is that the docs rules are usually in different modules,

and they are certainly not complete are not easy to understand.

The Admin for each module guides have some information,

There is some information on the community boards,

some information in Foglight eDocs

and there is some information that simply seems to be missing.

Ask questions here is probably your best choice, once you get to the point

where you can't find something in the existing literature.

    How can I change the units on a new doc for printing? My preferences are already in inches.

    The new Document dialog box does not facilitate a change of units, although you can type any unit in its fields.

    After the removal of the new Document dialog box, you can right click on a rule to choose different units, or launch the Preferences dialogue box and choose different units in the Panel units and increments. Here, your settings will be saved with the document and should not affect new documents.

  • The doc for the function of the subset of the table shows the extensible function

    In LabView 2010 the doc for the function of the subset of the table shows that the function is expandable with indexes and multiple lengths. I can't expand the function for multiple indexes. How can I do this?

    Is the documentation for the function by mistake, or is there another function of a subset of the table somewhere that can do this?

    Subset of table details

    When wire you an array to the function, the function is automatically resized to display entries index for each dimension of the array. If wire you a table 1 d to the function, the function displays the index for an item entries. If wire you a 2D to function, the function table displays the entries index for a line and column, respectively. If wire you a 3D through the nD to the function, the function displays the index for a page entries.

    Hello Vincent,.

    From now on, there is no function to save e-mail addresses for documents being sent for signature. But yes as a solution, if you want, you can create a Widget and can set the four fixed contre-signataires when creating (which will sign once the first signatory variable sign).

  • Can you have the docs for a mapping to a domain application

    Hi guys,.

    Could you please check the documentation explaining how to map application apex to a domain.

    I mean, the application on my PC. I want to leave it to others to go outside my local network using a specific domain name i.e. www.the-executive-towers.com

    Kind regards
    Fateh

    Hi Fateh,

    I hope you are doing well these days.

    I am, thank you! I hope that you have begun in 2012 as well.

    On my router, I specified a DMZ server by default as the IP address of my server (192.168.1.2) - hosting the DB.
    I want to ask you, what's the downside of this method? is there a risk?

    Well, each open port is a potential risk.
    I recommend to use the DMZ on your router, but just use port forwarding NAT for the port that you use for your frontend. I propose even the public port (and to avoid any more trouble for your GlassFish everything also) to a different (higher) number, if it is not in the range of the common ports for port scanners.
    In general, APEX earphone is not intended to be used in public networks, but I would say that it should be safe enough for your scenario, when running on GlassFish. If you want to harden your system, you would have to put a proxy to face the public part, perhaps even running in a VM appliance specifically designed for this purpose. Of course, this will cause "some" overhead on your system...

    If this one is very good. Why should I host my Apps on Oracle Apex hosting providers?

    Well, some people don't want to have a server running at home. I don't know how much your machine consumes energy, but even a system with a small footprint down to a remarkable number when running 24/7. Try to calculate how much energy alone would cost you per month and compare the difference to the APEX hosting package you prefer.
    Despite this, bandwidth is usually limited on the private system, in particular coming out when running behind an ADSL line.
    The third aspect is maintenance. If you have your database instance with current APEX private in any case, of course, there is no extra effort. But there are people who don't want to care about that and just use APEX. Hosting providers I know also offering additional features like PDF engines, etc., which can involve more complex activities to configure. Yet once, if you keep this kind of system, anyway, this does not apply in your case.

    Can you please some docs for usage of EPG? Or is it better if I stick to 3.1 fish glass?

    If you're good with GlassFish for now, I would stay with her. Using EPG would expose to the database directly to the internet - something I would try to avoid any circumstances.
    Of course, you can take a look in the [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21673/otn_install.htm#CBHBCBBJ]APEX Setup Guide of the EPG see how you re this configuration. But still, I wouldn't use EPG on any public connection.

  • Unrecognized in Excel Docs membership rule.

    Hello

    I have defined a membership rule in a WORD doc and try to use the same relationship (used in the membership rule) to define the scope of an entity in the EXCEL doc.

    But it throws an error that "function not supported. This function cannot be used in rules modeled with EXCEL.

    Please help me with an alternative solution.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Essentially scope functions (everything that has an alias as a potential parameter) do not have a metaphor for representation available in Excel matching rule and are therefore not supported. However the other functions of the entity are supported (exists, forall, instancecount etc.).

    According to the request of Andrew: If you can explain what you're trying to do (and why do you think Excel is the best option for this) then we can help.

    But yes: some things cannot be done in Word.

  • Adjust the threshold for rule interrupts

    Hello

    Can someone help me change the thresholds for the interruptions of rule? It seems to make use of an internal function called thresholdState(#interrupts#) to determine criticality. This user is editable to change the thresholds, or at least to understand the condition behind it?

    Hello

    If I understand this rule is using the Intelliprofile feature. If you search for "thresholdState" on this page of the documentation , you can find the article that explains it. I say think because I watched this metric in the documentation and it does not say that there was a defined threshold IntelliProfile, as for other measures. Maybe it was an oversight of the documentation. He certainly looks like he got IntelliProfile thresholds in the topology for this measurement model, see example on our Linux servers, showing a Normal state:

    If the answer to your question, yes the thresholds are user editable but maybe not in your way of thinking. As there is a threshold of IntelliProfile it is based on the deviation from the baseline, whereas you would have to change the threshold of IntelliProfile beaches. I don't think that's what you want with your question.

    Hope that helps.

  • Generators THAT docs for Beta 3 SDK

    It seems that although the previous SDK had a docs / folder which contained the HTML documentation corresponding to what we find online, I think that is missing in the Beta 3 SDK.

    Anyone know the magic incantation to generate the docs at least qnx-screen in the new SDK?  I guess it means "aasdoc" as well as a few options but haven't found anything that generates more than a skeleton (a lot of files index and such, but no real content).

    Or are the sources of doc really missing?  I know nothing about how they are generated, so I can't tell if the source is same here for them.

    We decided not to send the local copy of the DOCUMENTS, because there is no way to solve the problems in the documentation once they are installed locally. Please use the docs online http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/airapi/1.0.0/

    We would like to hear from our users for any compelling reason to have the docs installed locally, so that we can evaluate our decision in the next SDK release.

    Thank you in advanced for your comments.

  • Alarm severity for rule of NmsAlarm-NMSHostExtension

    Hello community

    We have integrated Foglight NMS in vFoglight and it works very well.  However, we want to customize this a little more, that's why we are looking to add an EmailAction to send us an e-mail whenever an alarm is triggered.  I have the EmailAction set, but to keep our email standards raised by vFoglight, I would add the severity of the alarm in the subject of the e-mail so that we have something like:

    WARNING: Error device NMS

    or

    Criticism: Error device NMS

    or (surprise!)

    Fatal error: error device NMS

    Similarly, it would be good if I could get the real error message so that I can fill the body of the e-mail with the error message.

    I did a similar thing for the LogFilter rule (see http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/performance-monitoring/foglight-administrators/f/4788/t/19559961.aspx#81016), but it does not work here, I think, the fact that checkObservationAlarms is not a property of the Type topology NMSHostExtension.

    Is it possible that the severity of the alarm can be obtained as a variable to include in the subject line?

    For your information, the Condition of the East of the rule:

    def alarm = #alarms #.

    If (alarm == null) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    gravity = 0

    message = «»

    If (!) Alarm.isReset)

    {

    gravity = alarm.foglightSeverity

    message = alarm.alarmName + "." + alarm.conditionMetState "

    System.Err.println ("NmsAlarm-NMSHostExtension: alarm: gravity =" + gravity + "message =" + message)

    }

    on the other

    {

    message = alarm.conditionMetState

    System.Err.println ("NmsAlarm-NMSHostExtension: alarm reset: message =" + message)

    }

    def topSvc = server.get ("TopologyService");

    def alarmSvc = server.get ("AlarmService");

    alarmSvc.reportAlarm (alarm.guid, gravity, scope.host.uniqueId, message, "NMSAgent", @foglight_rule_id);

    Returns true;

    Thank you

    Brian

    Hi Brian...

    You could use groovy to actually send the email and other things that you want in the e-mail subject and body and even include an attachment - there is a discussion here:

    I hope this helps.

  • Is this doc for BPM and BPEL

    Hi Experts,

    I am newbie to BPM, I am looking for api client for BPM, watching this doc:

    34 introduction to the HWS service in the following link

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E28280_01/dev.1111/e10224/bp_workflow.htm#SOASE10452

    I was confused, because this chapter is under the theme of "The Fusion Middleware Oracle SOA Suite Developer's Guide", I know BPM do not belong to SOA Suite, can someone tell me if this is for BPMN or BPEL?

    Best regards

    Hi user,

    The BPM and BPEL share the same workflow services so the document applies to these two technologies.

  • Used in forms for rule of rounding decimal values

    I am trying to determine what district to separate the rule using forms of round numbers decimal, extracted from the database to display in a shorter length field. Specifically, when a number is equidistant from its neighbours (e.g. 0.5 is equidistant between 0 and 1), which rule is used to determine if she is rounded upwards or downwards (see this for a reference of the standard rounding rules)? The online help documentation addresses rounded, but does not specify what rounding rule is used (for example half away from zero, even half or 'Banker of the borough', etc.).

    I tried to figure this out by trial and error, but make me inconsistent results. Here's my test case...

    In the two test cases:

    Database field is NUMBER (20.4)

    Form field is numeric, length 30

    Form field format mask, programmatically, set is FM999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G990D90PR (i.e., round to 2 decimal places)

    The form field displays the value of the field database directly

    Test 1:

    Database field value is 1.4445

    Result: The screen displays the value as 1.44

    Test 2:

    Database field value is 1,445

    Result: The field of the screen shows the value of 1.45

    It's completely inconsistent. If 'half away from zero' or 'half of the odd' district were used, then the value 1 of the trial must be displayed as 1.45 (because the last 5 will round the previous 4 to 5 and repeat). On the other hand, if 'half zero' or 'half similarly' district were used, the value of Test 2 should be displayed as 1.44.

    I understand that the values stored in the form are not rounded, and that this will not necessarily errors of calculation. However, it is necessary for purposes of documentation that I determine what the current rule used to display rounded values.

    I use forms GR 11, 2.

    I thought about it (by another user). My hypothesis rounded is not accurate: 1.4445 would like to round up to 1.44 mathematically, not 1.45 because 1.0045 is closer to 1 than 2. Therefore, Forms uses the standard rounded technology Oracle, which is:

    1. If n is 0, then ROUND returns always 0 regardless of the integer .
    2. If n is negative, then ROUND (n, all) returns - ROUND (-n, whole).
    3. If n is positive, then ROUND (n, integer) = FLOOR (n * POWER(10, integer) + 0.5) * POWER (10, - all over)
