  Hi, I am trying to learn how to use RoboHelp HTML (I use RoboHelp10), and, unfortunately, I have to work on a project that someone else has started some time ago.

  The thing is, I have 2 separate projects, each with their own files, will that ultimately generated in 2 files separate chm and used in the same software (probably merged, but I don't know yet).

  A project needs to have hyperlinks across multiple pages htm to the subjects of the other project. I read the help provided by Adobe RoboHelp, but I don't know that I understand:

  Link to external files

  • Choose a location for link in the design editor.
  • Enter text.
  • Highlight the text and click Insert Hyperlink .
  • Click on the triangle button next to link to, and then select the file.
  • Browse to a file, open it and copy it to the folder of the project. -Is this file the individual .htm containing my topic or the .chm generated from all the files in the project htm? Where in the project folder devrais I copy it? (my project .chm file is generated in the.) SSL! folder).

  Generate the file in order to test the links to external topics.

  WebHelp projects

  The external file must be distributed in the WebHelp folder.

  Microsoft HTML Help projects

  The external file must be distributed with the CHM file. Note: the external CHM file must be in the same folder as the CHM project file.

  - I'm going to generate a Microsoft HTML Help project, so the second spec probably applies. Does this mean that external chm must be copied in the! SSL! folder where I generate my current chm and distributed together, so that hyperlinks will work?

  Sorry if my question may sound a little silly, I'm not very adept at this software. Thanks in advance.

  When I created a hyperlink to another place in a WORD 2010 document IE. an image with the words "A spreadsheet" link is a few pages from the image, I am able to click on the image and it takes me to the "worksheet".

  So, once I created the PDF is more "clickable". Have I missed a step in Word or I can add the hyperlink in Acrobat DC?

  To get the active links, you must use PDF Maker inside WORD. If you print to the Adobe PDF printer, you lose all the links. You can add links back with Acrobat, but it's a long trip.

  Check the IE8 and Windows Mail if they have any defects.

  IE8:
  Start > default programs > set your default programs > click on Internet Explorer. He said "this program has all its defaults"?
  If not, click on 'Choose defaults for this program' > check on all the entries in the list > click SAVE
  If Yes, click on Windows Mail. Check its values default same method as above. Don't forget to click SAVE.

  FYI: You didn't have to uninstall Windows Live Mail, simply because you don't like the Messenger. If you were watching when you installed Windows Live Mail, you would have saw that Messenger and other programs are offered to you. Meaning, they are optional. You should take any of them.
  Ask around before you uninstall Windows Live Mail, someone would have told you that you could simply uninstall Messenger and keep what you want.

  In the video tutorial on creating a hyperlink to another page in the same site of the Muse (and I remember the first version of Muse I have beta tested) in the upper part is hyperlink with a box beside him for a url or a link to another page of the website.  I downloaded my trial of Muse today and his party. Help!

  If you have nothing selected, the hyperlink box will not be displayed

  But once you select an item that is "link-able" when it appears

  We could certainly help you.

  With your PDF is open in a browser window, you will need to run the JavaScript to open hyperlinks in another window of the browser that makes even.

• Cannot remove the hyperlink

  I have a number of blocks of text on a page. For some of them, the text they contain must be a hyperlink (to another page of the site); for others, they do not hyperlinks.

  When I need to change the text to be a hyperlink to is not, I select all of the text and click on the "x" to the right of the drop-down list box "Hyperlink" in the toolbar. The text in the box will change to "adding / filter links. However, when I republish the site the link is still there. If I go back to the text selection in question (i.e., the text that should be changed to no hyperlink) I sometimes see vestiges of the old link in the drop-down list box Hypertext, sometimes I'll see if I click somewhere in the text, sometimes I do not want. Nevertheless, no matter how many times I select the text and click the 'x', the remains of hyperlink when the site is published.

  A test, I deleted the text block and the text it contains, has added a new framework in the same place and the hypertext link has disappeared. However, I have a lot of blocks of text, placed precisely, and I don't want to have to do this several times. Moreover, I am not sure if I make a hyperlink, I'll be able to remove it in the future.

  Also has anyone seen this kind of behavior?

  Looks like you have blocks of text related too. It's a confusion common among users when they have a hyperlink for the text frame container too, as well as the text content. Then, when you remove the link just text, the text block is a hyperlink. Can you check for one of the text boxes affected if this is indeed the case? Simply select the text and the text block, one at a time and look at the drop-down list of hyperlinks on the Control Strip.

• Wacky hyperlink style question!

  I have been looking for this one to death and can't find the answer. Very weird problem. Let me see if I can explain it simply and clearly, the solution is not the difficult.

  > Have a web page with five text boxes to this topic. There is in each text box, and there are two paragraph styles used, but no style character.

  > A line of text is a hyperlink to another of my website pages. CEC of five text boxes has a line (the first line in the text box) that goes to another web page.

  > I have a particular color scheme that I use for hyperlinks that point to another of my website pages. They are dark brown, then Brown clear when you move the pointer, blue dark, when you click to visit and blue sky when it is active. This color scheme has been applied to ALL styles of link implemented in this file of muse.

  -Here's the weird part. This web page has been a model that came with the link set up styles. The original link for this page styles using a different color scheme. I modified this style of special link to set up my color scheme. I've implemented all hyperlinks in these text boxes to have the correct link style and colors, etc.. They seem correct in design mode AND preview mode.

  - But when I saw the page in a browser, the text of the hyperlink back to the original link style color palette... ONLY for its normal state. It uses the right colors to hover, visited and active States. Don't forget there are has five text boxes all set up like this, but one of them has this problem. The others use the right color scheme that goes with the style of binding used.

  -C' is there it gets even weirder to me. This problem only occurs when I use a links to specific pages of a hyperlink for the text. I can apply one of the other links to that specific text, and style of the link colours are perfect in the browser preview. Then I move this text to the hyperlink, its supposed to be using, and the problem of the color appears.

  -Color of style like that a 'normal' relationship became permanently associated with the hyperlink to a specific page.

  -If I create a new text box, say 3 or 5 separate text lines and anything else that hyperlinks will apply to each line... all hyperlinks appear with OK... except fo color scheme associated with this specific link... He uses the blue state text normal, not brown like its supposed to

  • I've tried everything. I remove the text box and start with a new text box and all the new text. Then apply the paragraph styles and link to the hyperlink.
  • I tried this and jumped the style of paragraph and simply applied the hyperlink style.
  • And tried with just the style of link.
  • This file of muse was a model originally. So I deleted all the paragraph initially in this model and fresh styles. The problem happening on another page, so again styles of paragraph resolved other issues, except on this page.
  • I tried to delete the problematic text box, by copying the text boxes on the page which works perfectly. As soon as I move the hyperlink to one who belongs to this text box... bam goes the color normal blue back instead of the dark brown as its supposed to be.

  I learn the Muse that I'm here and his party extremely well. Great program and very easy to use. I studied him this constantly. Someone knows how to solve the mystery?

  It turns out that if you make the color of the visited links the same as normal link color in the model of the Muse, then you can't make the difference between real Normal link color and the color of visited links. This means that a person could the colours correctly configured in the properties of the site and in the file, and then preview in a web browser and not realize that the normal link color is correct... IF the link appears in preview mode before their browser as a visited link.

  So in your example up above, you have the normal and visited link colors exactly the same thing. Who would be able to get an overview of the web page and to know what link they watched? Not me.

  After three days of stress, I realize that I had set the color of the link visited to be identical to the original color model for normal links. In design mode, and preview of Muse, my colors were so everything is correct. But when I saw in a web browser, the normal colors would be the color of the visited link.  And... I didn't know it.

  This explains why the colors of link work properly in all situations except the preview of the web browser. Duh! Rookie mistake.

  This was the only problem I've had with Adobe Muse CC. This really works exceptionally well.

  I imagine me, that you have a html text and you want to have a hyperlink to another page in your application.

  For example, you have a text like: "I want to create a hyperlink to a page.

  Now, if your mouse passes the word 'hyperlink', you want to see this magic 'hand '.

  First copy the URL of the target page: something like this-> "http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f? ' p = 100:2:3122716493255005:NO:

  In RH8, I noticed that when I want to create a hyperlink to another topic, in the Hyperlink Properties window, the list of topics shows the file names, instead of view topic names (behavior RH7).
  
  I would like to change this back, because it makes more sense to look for a topic by name rather than by its file name...
  
  And when you use the small icon 'Find the topic', 'by title' has been checked by default in RH7, but I have this check manually every time in RH8, who becomes too irritating! I don't want to have to put underscores in my search text to match the names of files!

  So it would seem that RoboHelp 8 handles things a little differently than 7 don't.

  Here's how to change it so your hyperlink dialog box lists topic titles and not filenames.

  Click anywhere inside the pod project manager so it gets the focus and the pod title bar becomes orange.

  Now click on view > by topic title.
