  I have virtually no experience with JavaScript and I'm trying to find a way to add some functionality to basic Automation to a form of Adobe.  I have a drop down box called "Hospital_Name" which will contain about 7 possible selections.  When the user makes a selection, I would like to have the field of text (called "Hospital_Address") under the drop-down list fill with the corresponding address to the selection.  I have the "Hospital_Address" text field set up for multiple lines and want the address to have a line break between the address and the city/province/postal code.

  For example, if the user has selected "Hospital 1", the text field would display:

  Help or you can provide examples would be greatly appreciated.

The script can be an action script open document level or page to insert the date when the PDF file is open or use as a print action to fill the date just before printing the form. And the formatting of the field is 'None' because JavaScript applies the formatting.

  It seems that what you're looking for is an AutoComplete widget. Dreamweaver is not a built-in function to create a. You can probably find one by doing a Google search for semi-automatic before YUI or jQuery autocomplete. Your success in its application will greatly depend on your JavaScript skills.

  A lot of pages break when the web application retrieves these fields in the details of page layout view, because html is not complete in the text field.

• List drop-down selection trigger change in the text field

  I'm hit a roadblock here. I'm on Adobe Acrobat XI and here's the scenario: I have a list box and a text box.

  Drop-down menu field has 3 caps (A, B, C).

  If A is selected, the text box = 15 default, but has the ability to change in the text box.

  If B or C is selected, the text box = 0 or "by default, but it has the ability to change in the text box.

  If I use an if/then with a .value, I'll be able to get the numbers to work, but do not have the ability to edit and keep them there. If I enter another number in another area, the JavaScript code will run and change the text box to 0 or 15.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Instead to use script logic for the text field, use the drop-down validation script. In this way, that it only will be triggered when you change the value in the drop-down list field, not when you change any field in the file (as the calculation script).

Tried to edit the XML source but has not reached a significant success. The issue is not caused by the narrowness of the cells and but even with the very broad.

  It's the police that you use that is causing the problem.

  I found it weird, your problem, so I did quickly a form with a text field with a comb.  I have not had the problem.

  So I took your snippet and added to my shape, so I have the same problem.  You use the new Courier, a policy that has the same width for all characters.  I don't know why the problem is as for me it should be in the Center as for all other fonts.  I would count this as a bug to support.

  I know that's not a solution for you, but this seems to be the root of the problem.  Maybe you can find another font, like Courier New, but has no width fixed.  I looked and it seems that there is a font called depicted, which uses the same letters, but is proportional.  The police is not downloadable for free, so I can't test for now.  Another page says this: "there is a proportional font that looks a bit like Courier. 'S called it American Typewriter. "Yet once again, I have not tested.

  There are two events that can be used to check the length of the text,

  The first is the action event for the text field, which is called when the field loses focus, it is a member of the purpose of dialogue with the same name as the item_id.  This event could also be used to update another field in the dialog box that indicates the number of characters, you may even have a small picture of alert which becomes visible to make it obvious that there is a problem.

  The other event, as already mentioned, is the validate event.  This allows to block the exit from the dialog box and display a popup to alert to the user.

  I use Flex Builder 2 to create an application that allows users to enter text in different TextAreas and eventually create a PDF file with their different text. My only problem is that I can't limit the number of lines of text used in each text box. I can limit characters by using maxChar, but this does not take into account a user entering multiple presses "return" - this does not affect the character limit, but can result in the final PDF layout (spitting the text on page 2).

  Is there a way to keep track and limit the number of lines of text in a text box (in Flex 2)?

  (Ideally I won't disable the ability for users to use the 'back' button to create several paragraphs)

  I have to switch to the HTML tab so that the keyboard to appear and to be able to type.

  Have just checked on Galaxy Tab 10.1 and with this device it is possible to enter directly in the Rich Text field.

  There is no easy way to do it. You need to move the text fields more apart and if there are static elements, then you will need to use the tool edit text & Images to move them, separately.
