When I produce a pdf by scanning, InDesign or another program and save it in a folder on our server, we have problems, move the files and delete them after use. Moving files from one folder to another can take up to 15 minutes for 25 to 30 files. Sometimes, when we remove a pdf document, it reappears.   See what happens if you open the task list and stop AcroRd32. I'm sure that there are no 64-bit version.   It's nothing to do with the Adobe software. This is because Apple has removed many of the most recent version of QuickTime codecs and requires a conversion of these codecs during playback in the newer versions of QuickTime Player.

  ·         What is the type of file you are trying to play?

  ·         The DVD I get recognized by the computer?

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  In the meantime, you can try to reduce hardware acceleration, and see if it resolves the problem. (Only if your video card supports hardware acceleration)

  a. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, click Control Panel, and then under appearance and personalization, click adjust screen resolution.

  b. click on settings Advanced , the Troubleshooting tab and then click change settings.

  c. move the hardware acceleration slider toward none to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

  d. click OKand then click restart now.

  I added a MP4 of GoPro file to a new project of first elements 11.  Then I made.  Then I click the Play triangle, and absolutely nothing happens.  I can drag the CTI autour, and the picture moves with the indicator.  But the file will not play its own.

  I'm working on a Thinkpad laptop, which I know is not enough; powerful but I could play and edit GoPro videos on this computer later this morning.

  Your browser is being updated? In your browser, does it help to go to Options/advanced/network and clear the contents of the Web Cache?
