  I have two columns, I need joined, both keep the columns of numeric data, but are of type varchar2 (6). The problem is that one of the columns keeps leading zeros to ensure that all 6 characters are used, but not the other. And columns preserve leading zeros may vary how many zeros are in the number-based computing.
  
  For example, the column with zeros can contain the number 4200, which would mean that he would remain with 2 zeros as 004200. Or it could contain 320, which means that he would remain with 3 zeros as 000320.
  
  The other column that does not have leading zeros not only keeps the number, so, in the example above, it would keep 4200 and 320 respectively.

  Yes, this is how I see.
  LTRIM removes given characters from the beginning of a string. LPAD adds characters at the beginning of a string. I would use LTRIM in this case, because if you use LTRIM, you probably need to handle a single column. If you use LPAD, you have to play with the two columns, as one of them still has the extra 0, and it sometimes needs them.

  TRUNC is working on the kinds or DATEs; you have VARCHAR2s. You can convert them to numbers, but then you risk of errors to cause bad data (and it linked to the wrong data).

  If you are certain that m06.mbr06_prv_id never has extra characters, whereas the join condition can be

  If this isn't the case, CUT then the two columns.

  BTW, I have no control on how this data is represented in a table... !

  Report a bad design is for people who don't have not this control. Numbers are the number of columns, not VARCHAR2. If the ID really needs to be strings, they should be validated and standardized once, when they are placed in the table, no more, and more, in all queries that use these columns.

• HP Officejet 7610: Scan of the computer cannot be activated or scan and combine them into a single pdf document.

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra 10.12 and scanning to HP computer software cannot be located when I open the HP utility.

  I can't find a further recommended HP software for my device other than El captain in operating system online.

  If I try to scan through preferences systems for printers and Scanners I can open the scanner, but I can't create a PDF combining into one document - it cancels the procedure after about 2 pages!

  The scan HP Destinations 'PDF for Adobe Reader' is red 'could not locate the target application that might have removed or uninstalled. File format = "PDF".

  How can I get that back?

  I understand that computer analysis can not be activated as well as the scan and combine them into a single pdf document. With your printer HP Officejet 7610. I am pleased to see that for you!

  At this time for this model. There is no software and drivers for Mac OS X 10.12 again, given that the operating system has just been launched, it could take some time. For the time being, you can try to use HP Easy Scan to see if that can meet your scanning preferences. In otherwise, all we can do is wait for the software and drivers to be released.

  How can I scan multiple pages into a single multi-page PDF file?
  I saw posted similar questions, but I have not found all the right answers. The Council alone that I saw was to scan each page in a separate PDF document, then merge them into a single PDF using third party software.
  Of course, I don't want to do.
  I can't believe that there's really no way to do it using the existing HP printing/scanning utilities provided with the hardware.
  My printer/scanner is the "HP Photosmart 5514 e-All-in-One Printer - B111h", and I am running Vista (64 bit) on a HP Pavilion laptop.

  The HP scanning software (start > programs > HP > Photosmart HP 5510 series > HP Scan) select PDF and make sure that the resolution is 300 dpi or less.

  Make sure the option Show Scan preview is checked, and click Scan.

  Once the first page of scanning is finished, place the next page on the window and click on the button "+" under the scan preview...

  Once you are done click Save.

  If I put a 600 dpi scanning resolution I have to save each scanned page as a single pdf file. To save a document pages more as a single pdf file, I have to downgrade the resolution to 300 dpi scan.  BUT 300 dpi returns an image of poor quality, on the edge of readability.

  Is there a way to scan multiple pages with a resolution of 600 dpi and a record as a single pdf file?

  We now see the issue.  Unfortunately, you cannot "add pages" If the resolution is greater than 300 dpi.

  I am currently trying to create a single pdf file of several analyses of groups of pages in a document of front and back of the page. The manual is about 80 pages and I didn't scan each page regardless. Is there a way to move pages once they are all together in a single pdf? All odd pages are in order.   There are several ways to combine PDF files

  File > combine > merge files into a single PDF file, or

  Open a PDF Document > insert pages, or

  Open a PDF, view > navigation panels > pages, drag and drop new files PDF in the pages Panel.

• Why should Windows 8.1 I 2 different profiles with the same default folders, but each with completely different content?

I intend to put them in my folder "Documents" for backup of 'Cloud' and also in an external hard drive that I have always used in the past and, as a child of 76 with a new computer, 8.1 instead of XP and TB instead of Outlook Express, that I feel more confident on my external hard drive! I have 31 TB and Windows 8.1. I put my computer to show the "hidden files and folders". In user/AppData/Local name there is a record of TB with 'Profiles' and there my XXXX.default folder - but it has only a limited number of files and folders (Cache/cache2...). In user/AppData/Roaming name, there is also a TB with 'Profiles' folder and there my XXXX.default folder- but it contains a completely different and much larger files and Folders collection (4 different folders and multiple files MAB and SQLITE and others). Why have I not two files with different content identical default? Do I have to register each one? Can someone please explain/help, preferably in words this 76 year-old could understand.

  Windows 8 user accounts can be local or remote. It assumes that everyone has a roaming profile. Thunderbird uses mobile records as you can see, but there is only the rump in local that I don't really understand the existence of.

  Thunderbird does not use it, I guess that windows creates.

  Access to recent Documents can help us to solve your problem. This is useful when you work with a file and you have forgotten the exact location. Since this is a user specific history, you will find the list of files, folders, and other places, who has recently joined in the title of each specific user profile folder.  Here are the steps on how you can display:

  1. Right click on Windows Explorer.
  2. Select sort by.
  3. Click Update.

  You will see the list of places visited recently and can easily find out what file or place has accessed what time and date. Let us know if you need more assistance.
