A trial is possible before loading data into Essbase?

Hi all

I am trying to load data into Essbase, but I need to check in advance for any errors. Is there a way to test vacuum as we do in planning of loading utility?

I am trying to load via a rule file!

This thread comes to mind:
http://www.Network54.com/Forum/58296/thread/1311019508/data+load+optimization+-headervs + column

I try to stay away from my most entertaining reviews that it simply raises my bp.

I would say that Essbase databases with incorrect data are the Essbase databases causing a lot of grief. I think that the OP certainly has the right idea, I don't think that the place to do so is Essbase.

:)

Kind regards

Cameron Lackpour

P.S. If it is a database of the OSB, I like your idea of a fictitious scenario, then a replacement of rule of load (groan) to move the data of this scenario, but even with a WHOLE CLEARBLOCK which will create a fragmentation.

Well, the red stuff is in our veins, you know the stuff that carry oxygen to our body. That starts with a 'b' and ends with a "d"? This word is prohibited through OTN. As well as leather things you put on your feet. So weird. I had to post four times to understand what was get arrested.

  • Cannot load data into Essbase using ODI

    Hi guys,.

Help help. I have problem loading data into essbase using ODI. The error message is
java.sql.SQLException: unexpected token: ACCOUNT in the statement [select C1_ACCOUNT "" account]

I have a very simple flat file that are similar to the below:

    Account, resources, time, data
    Active, Na_Resource, Jan, 10
    Active, Na_Resource, 12, February

With the same flat files, I am able to load data to load rules.

    Hello

It seems to generate an extra set of quotation marks around the SQL, in my interface it generates.

    SQL = "" "select C1_ACCOUNT 'Account', C2_PERIOD 'Period', C3_RESOURCE 'Resource', C4_DATA 'Data' of the" C$ _0TestApp_testData "where (1 = 1) «»

Note the single quotes around the account.

If you go to the topology Manager, on the tab of the physical architecture, right-click 'Hyperion Planning' > 'change '.
Select the "Langugage" tab for the "JYTHON" line, make sure that the "Object Delimiter" field has no quotes, if it's remove and apply and save.

I don't really understand what's your problem, you should not need to do anything once it is executed, the interface if records have loaded, then they should be in essbase, if they are rejected, then the error should give you an idea of why they were.

  • Load data into Essbase with EAS (no space available on the device)

    Hello

I exported all Essbase database data in a text file with EAS. The size of the file is 1.6 GB autour

I want to load it into the same database on another server with EAS. And each time around 55%, EE gives me the error "No space" available on the device [ServerB]

    Here is the configuration:
-Essbase server: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server has (enough space left for Essbase)
-Server EAS: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server B (enough space for the data file)
-EAS Client: 11.1.1.3 on my computer (Windows)
-Data file: on my computer too

Error messages tells me that there is no space left on the service Regional Server.

Do you know where EE server temporarily load the data file before sending it to Essbase? So, I can increase my file system.

    Thanks for your help.

Why don't you just copy the export more to the essbase server, personally I would not even try to send this amount of data over a network through the Regional service.

  • Error in loading data into Essbase

    Hello all-

I extracted a few data on flat file from my application into production and I am trying to push the data in another essbase cube using the rules file and it comes up with the following error message:

Reading rule SQL database [database name]
Reading rules of rule of database object [database name]
Active parallel loading: [1] block to prepare the discussions, block [1] write discussions.
Loading data encoded in Unicode application in mode non-Unicode is not supported
    Unexpected error Essbase 1003048

I have previously pushed several times to export data of level 0 and this time I'm trying to push it through the rule files and he came up with this error. How can I see if my orginal application is a unicode application or not? The rules file that I use is also the source application... I should create a new file of my target application rules and this will help me to solve this problem?

    Please advise!

If you right click the essbase in the EA application and select properties there will be a "Unicode mode" box, if it is checked, then it is a unicode application.

You may need to convert your file to unicode.

  • Load data into Essbase using the rules file

    Hello

IAM trying to create a rule to load for the fresh Essbase cube associated with the Hyperion Planning Application. We having 14 Dimensions (including the HSP_Rates Dimension).

The falt file used to generate the rule file has columns related to the 13 dimensions as well as the data as the 14th column column. When I validate the rules file, he said "the rules file is correct for the loading of the data.

My concern here is iam not taking care of Member Dimnesion related to the Dimension of "HSP_Rates" (not even as the Difinition of the header). I'm doing something wrong here? How validation can MOVE independently without taking into account one dimension?

If I insert the data, while recovering the data in Excel which dimension member HSP_Rates should I use?

    Any response is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Failures of loading data into Essbase Clusters (MSCS)

    Hello

Is there a power failure on the active node of the Cluster Essbase (call this node A) and the Cube needs to be rebuilt on the node of Cluster B, how the Cube will be rebuilt on Cluster Node B.

What will orchestrate the activities required in order to rebuild the Cube)? Both Essbase nodes are mounted on Microsoft cluster Services.

In essence, I want to know

    (A) Comment do to handle the load of metadata that failed on Node1 to Node2 Essbase?

    (B) makes the continuous session to run meta-data / load on the Second knot, Essbase data when the first node of Essbase fails?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Kind regards

    UB.

It would be built the same way that you use either the Essbase NOMCLUSTER or the VIP MSCS is used for configuring the Essbase cluster, you would not ever refer to a host name then it does matter not what node it will run on.

The session will be lost on tipping as is the same as the restart of the essbase.

    Hello

The best way is to duplicate the KM - 'IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA)'
Modify the command 'Load data into essbase' km

    Update

    SQL = "" "select <%=od...

    ".

    to

    sql = ""

now you can create an interface, the value staging as 'Table SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE' and multi-line, data store loading essbase to the target, the value of KM that you just updated. "." < br / > then use calc script options, in order to have an interface that doesn't have a source and can run scripts Calc.

    Ok? FIX :)

    Cheers

  • Load of 'Date' data into Essbase

    Hi all

I need to load 'Date' data into essbase cube created by planning application. version 9.3.1
I created the "emp_e_date" Member in the account dimension in planning with the data type as 'Date' and updating of the database

    I have the fields

    Emp1, December 31, 11
    EMP2, 20 November 11

other members of the dimension I'm defining it as headers and the first column as the employee dimension and the second column as filed data. but not the loaded data.

There is an option of filing date in the field of the rule that is disabled :(

What are the considerations that I need to take care, so that I can be able to load the data(dd-mmm-yy) date in essbase.

    Kind regards
    Murali

If you are loading directly to essbase then the requirement date format will change as described in some of the responses, a number of possible solutions have been provided, and yes it is possible to manipulate the format of the data using HAL before loading to essbase.
