A very large page, continues that will feature a horizontal scroll bar

Hello, I am trying to create a simple portfolio site that simply has a long, horizontal page which will be wider than the browser window and therefore produce a horizontal scroll bar that can scroll through manually. It's probably something very simple to achieve, but I don't know how! Can I change the width of the page somehow?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Yes, you certainly want to learn some HTML & CSS. Ask yourself everything is really simple, however. As he has

already been said, you only need to change the width of your wrapper div (or any div that you use as a container for your site).

So assuming that you are using a div wrapper for your content, the HTML would look like this:

all content and other divs would be placed here, within the envelope

The CSS for this wrapper div would look like this:

{#wrapper}

Width: 3000px;<-------this sets="" the="" width="" of="" that="" div.="" 3000px="" really="" wide,="" so="" a="" scrollbar="" is="" created="" to="" view="" the="" rest="" of="" the="">

}

  • poster not horizontal scroll bar in my report page

    Hello
I have created a page of interactive report in the "Topaz" model. because I have more columns, I have to scroll across.

This page worked fine on apex 3.2, but when it comes to apex 4.0, it does not display the horizontal scroll bar. This scroll bar becomes visible only when I click on the magnifying glass next to the search bar and select one of the options that are displayed in.

Please can someone help me on this problem.

    Hello
I have the same problem using the theme 1 (red), but only with Internet Explorer 7. Firefox (3.6) display this page correctly.
If I put the model in the region to "no model", shows the IE scroll bar too. I guess, the model of the region causes this problem. I tried to change that, but I still have no solution.
    Can anyone help?

  • When I use Firefox to display Oracle WebLogic EM, Firefox will not display the scroll bar on some pages. But Google Chrome.

It is a problem specific to Oracle Web Logic EM.

In our society, we use the logical Web as a basis for the application server.

In the EM logic web server, users can use a Web Logic EM (EM is a portal to view processes on Web Logic application) to verify the data.

I found when I use EM to check online XML, sometimes the page does not appear the scroll bar.

If I use Google Chrome or Opera, and do the same thing, the page will display scroll bar.

But I need Firefox because it is my main browser.

    How to overcome this issues?
    And how to prove?

    Hello, cor - el

Please, please read this thread first:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/976345

I found there is that some people have the same problems.

I check the data of the source code viewer, the data displayed are "pure XML.

So my question is "pop-up windows display XML data in Firefox.

I searched the KB and found an expert suggests a whole 'dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars', 'true '.

This solution not solve my problem.

And thank you once again, cor - el.

I can give up google chrome forever.

  • The top of my page does not work... the scroll bars, menu items, etc. The rest, about 2 inches from the top of the page, works very well.

My side scroll bars do not work by clicking and dragging. They don't even show when I pass the cursor over them when they are at the top of the page. If I use the drop-down arrow at the bottom, they will come with one click at a time. Then, when they are a couple of inches high, I can choose them and they work fine. Is the same for the menu items at the TOP OF THE PAGE THE. Very frustrating. Even this page. If I scroll down too far and then try to type in this box (because it is now near the top of the page), nothing happens. I can also use the menu to make the bold or italic scrip... nothing on this bar at the top of this box... unless I scroll a couple of inches.

This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Since graduating from version 22 (updated channel version), I had a few days with a very large text; Today, Firefox will not start. How to run again?

I searched a file in Firefox program .exe files, but it doesn't seem to be any where. I would like to uninstall, download a new program and reinstall, but I will not lose rather bookmarks and other settings.
Running Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox, you WILL NOT lose any bookmarks, history and settings. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • WMP has a VERY small video image that will NOT grow everything.

A few months ago my WMP was not and is still not functioning. I deleted all versions of WMP, until I had the original that came with my computer (WMP5 or 6, not sure). I reloaded my operating system twice. I deleted, reinstalled, downloaded the latest and best several times. I still can't WMP to play a video properly. Even when I set the video size to "Fit screen" or "200%" video is still about 1/10 the size of the screen. To 100% normal size is about 1/20 the size of the screen. The video image WILL NOT grow anything.
What should I do to get this corrected?

    Hi shanevj,

You can try to download the file and save it to a location, and then try to play the video.

    Step 1:

You can try to play the video in full screen and check.

    a. open Windows media player, and then click view

    b. Select full screen and check.

    Also read the following article:

Windows Media Player10 refuses to enter full screen mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555475/en-us

    Step 2:

You can also download the latest codecs for the media player in Windows XP

You can use your favorite search engine to download and install the third-party codecs for windows media player.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • How can I create a link or an installer that will open the bookmarks somebody bar and add some bookmarks?

The goal is to embed a link in a word which, when clicked, opens the bookmarks bar and adds some bookmarks in the document. Another option would be that the link create icons from desktop to Web sites. The main deal breaker is we do not want to change the registry for this. All creative solutions are welcome.

    Thank you

If it's for users as a whole and not in a given organization, forget the idea of profile, that would be much too intrusive.

As noted by cor - el, an extension would have privileges to perform these changes. Some resources on developing extensions, since it is beyond the scope of this forum:

  • Make a page very large slide to the left

I have a very large page in my site and I wonder what camera I use so that the page slides to the left. I want that it move gradually rather than in stages, as an anchor tag would do.

You can do this by creating a wide page. Increase the width of the page properties page.

  • Staying in the same page continue editing after creating a button

    Hello

I have an apex generated form based on a table and there is a trigger for the primary key.
When the user comes to the page, they can fill in the fields and click on the button create.
Right now, create will take them to another page and they use another link to return to this form on this page to change the row in the table
What I really want is that after you have filled a few items and clicking on the button create, I want the user to stay on the same page
to continue to fill in the other fields for this record, but the button create must disappear, and instead, the 'save' button appears.
If anyone can help? Thank you.

    Hello

    1. you must remove the process that erases the data (clear your Cache).

    2. create a page process that will get the primary key of the newly added in the hidden primary key record filed... (* You can take the help of the form of the master / detail, created by the wizard... it does the same thing..) When you click on send, it retrieves the newly added primary key, and the long-form becomes visible *)

  • FMW: Portal Upgrade Advisor - General recommendation to put a scroll bar vertical on pages

It is a general recommendation to the vertical scroll bars on pages that are long.  The pages have a horizontal scroll bar that makes it easy to navigate to the desired section of the text. However, it lacks a bar vertical srcoll on all pages.  See text below that of the current view, to click and drag the mouse - and, only occasionally do the up and down of work arrow keys to scroll through the content of the page.

Thanks for the comments... have to admit that I had not noticed... guess I'm used to with my mouse wheel scrolling
The design of the interface of the upgrade wizard as a whole is managed by the life cycle program team... then I will send this feedback their

  • Background of the browser fill not fill not page. And the Web site of scrolling to the right to reveal a space.

A direct copy of the site can be seen at http://www.tjrcomputersolutions.com/it-services.html .

The background used with fill browser can't the footer when it is big enough. (height of 1400 px). I tried fiddling with the options "set to" does not.

In addition, the site is scroilling to the right, showing a white space that obviously isn't OK.

I am very experienced with HTML, CSS, JS, etc, but decided to try Muse this time. Unofortunately, due the Muse attributing completely arbitrary of the CSS tags, I can't decipher where the problem may be in the code. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated!

The spaces on the right (and the horizontal scroll bar) is most often caused by a block of empty text or other without filling out any stroke object evacuated to the right of the page in Design view. Try to use the object: unlock everything on Page (if you normally use the characteristic bolt) and then do a Select All and look for handles that appear for one or more objects positioned off the coast of the right side of the page in Design view (repeat the process of design finds for the master page that is applied).

For filling of browser, is the "scale Fill' fill browser option?

  • Half of the page disappears when horizontal scrolling (Bug?)

This looks like a bug to me... When you open a page in a site of muse in a browser and you re size the browser but not as much as the next breakpoint, you get a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page. When you scroll the contents of the page disappears. See screenshot.

  • Add horizontal scrolling - Table to continue to move

How to create a horizontal scroll bar for the main content in this site is not shifted to the bottom of the page when the browser window is resized smaller?

    The site is http://www.snodallion24.com/

When you resize the window to the smaller browser table contained main bumps at the bottom of the page, then a horizontal scroll bar appears.  I want the main table of horizontal scrolling content and set to appear without the table down to stay.  So maybe the question is how to keep the main table of contents to move to the bottom of the page when the browser window is too small to fit?

I know that I am an amateur and a DIY'r and I suspect that the page deisgn is inherantly wrong.  I hope eventually to redesign the site in CSS, but until I get a better handle on CSS, I'll have to do with it.

The site was built in a previous verision of Dreamweaver, but I'm currently using CS5.5.
