  NULL values are indexed if the indexed entry also includes a value non-zero.

  If you create an index such as:

  CREATE INDEX mytable_x_idx ON mytable (x, ' ');

  ensure all null values for the column X are indexed and will therefore potentially use the index to search for null values, assuming of course the result set is small enough to justify the use of the index in your query.

  I get a frequent reminder of microsoft my pre installed windows in unlicensed. I went through the process of checking online, but this has not helped (prompted him download fails during the installation). I recently installed a new hard drive to a disc image so assume it is related to this. When I check computer / pproperties, all looks fine, it says windows is activated & indicates the product ID.

  Retrieve the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc after the HARD drive was replaced?

  The operating system which is part of the Toshiba recovery image has already been activated so the new activation should not be possible and necessary!

  Don t know what is the problem here, but I recommend you to reinstall the operating system once more using Toshiba Recovery disk (I hope that you have created in the past)

  Well, I tried this search here and on the web in general, and all I can find are of the ridiculously long workarounds. It seems to be the only thing that was incredibly simple to Quark and yet is almost impossible to do in InDesign.

  So, is there an easy way to do this? Import an image into grayscale, click a shade and apply it to the image, inheriting the percentage of the gray-scale values? Or even a bitmap, with none of the percentages to inheret?

  Select the image with the direct Selection (white arrow) tool and select the shade. Or... just drag the shade on the chart.

• Better way to clone the hard disk SSD evo 850 samsung

  I want to clone my current HARD drive to SSD samsung. The problem is that the OEM partition (100 mb) is not cloned with the Samsung tool. What is the best way to keep that partition? Should what tool I use? If I do a fresh install of windows 7 with the Dvd from Dell, it will recreate this hidden OEM partition? Thanks for your advice.

  I've used easeus http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/ succesfully maintaining OEM partitions and recovery.

  I used it to cram a 750 GB HARD drive which had plenty of free space on a 250GB SDD while preserving the OEM partition with the diagnoses.

  I used a USB to Sata adapter and it was really easy.

  It goes without saying, but... BACK UP DATA THAT YOU CARE ABOUT THE FIRST...

  You want to make sure that you select Art Optimized for the anti-aliasing setting when exporting or using save for Web.

  When I check in the internet I found a few points and need clarity also by the following.

  -It is recommended that this switch Redo log 5 times maximum per hour, but I have this time of maximum peak about 100 redo log changes occur.

  -It is recommended to have the large size of the Redo log. But I have 3 Group of redo and each size is 50 MB by default.

  -My group of Redo log not multiplexed and it by default with each group have only a single Member

  And advised by experts with add that again group will give more performance in the other location. Is it mean that I need to add the Redo log as a different group, player or Redo Log itself I need to replace the other location.

  You can't resize an existing redo log group.

  You will need to create 3 new redo log groups and drop old log redo (with 200 MB size) groups.

  I don't know what it is you are trying to do? You want space, but you want that they touch?

  Auto spacing/digitally is available in the Aligner CS4 Panel but now in CS3.

  A few things you can do.
  -View > grid > edit grid. Display grid / magnet on the grid, and then set it to the w/h of your thumbnails.

  Then position your thumb/placeholders within the grid - they should align and 'touch' the other.

  Yes you can convert your thumb/placeholder graphic symbol, duplicate the symbol instance, double click on anyone of the sybol instance to modify, then edit > transform > digital transformation to the new size. Then done.
  The only drwaback there are, you will need to realign.

  There are many ways to format the hard drive. You did not really provide details...

  You can download the Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD) and burn it to a CD, then you can boot from the CD and use the tools of HARD drive to remove the partitions/erase the hard drive.

• Can't reformat the hard drive

  Hello I do not know much about computers.  I'm trying to find a way to reformat the hard drive on my son computer for a clean installation of XP Pro.  Initially, XP Pro SP1 has been installed on my IBM Thinkpad.  I have automatic updates must occur on the computer so over time, the service pack has been upgraded to SP3.  The corruption of the computer does not restore system, internet access and several programs running on the device.  When I try to format the hard disk with my XP Pro SP1 disk fails because the system is currently running SP3.  I tried to uninstall SP3, but the system does not.
  What do other options I have order of the reformat the system drive.

  Thanks for posting. If you try to reinstall XP you can put your OS drive on your computer, or use the OEM recovery media to reinstall XP.

  PERFORMING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS WILL ERASE ALL DATA IN CUSTODY: PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE CONTINUING.

  The OEM recovery media format the computer and automatically return to the plant as if it was when you first it lit. If you have XP software at retail, you can do the following to format and reinstall.

  Method 1: Perform a clean install of Windows XP, a new installation is to remove all data from your hard disk by repartitioning and reformatting your hard disk and reinstall the operating system and programs empty (clean) hard disk. For more information about important things to consider before you partition and format your hard disk and how to partition and format your hard disk by using the Windows XP Setup program, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

• I want to recover the data on the hard drive using a laptop as a hard drive.

  Original title: Using a laptop as a hard drive...

  On a MAC, I can plug my laptop into my office with a firewire port to access the hard drive on the laptop without the OS being ran on the laptop.  Windows Vista has such a thing?  If so, how do you go?  The hard drive on my Windows laptop fails and we want to try and recover the data, by hooking it to a desktop as shown above with the MACs.

  However, you can remove the hard drive from the laptop and connect it to the office with a case of hard disk that comes with the USB cable.

  I have a Pavilion dv2000 I bought in 2006 (waaay out of warranty).

  My current (original) hard drive is completely filled. It is 80 GB. Fujitsu SATA

  I tried to upgrade the hard drive me. I bought a Western Digital SATA 250 GB hard drive is cloning kit.
  The kit seemed to do what he was supposed to, but when it was time to put the new drive in, I ran into problems.

  Do not match the connectors on the ends upwards. Metal "teeth - like ' connector end face on the new hard drive instead of to the bottom." (I couldn't find another way to navigate the hard drive cradle to get the connectors to face down so that they connect with the rest of the computer.

  Predictable when I tried to boot up the laptop, it wouldn't read the new hard drive. So I put the old hard drive in and that's what I use now as I type.
  The old hard drive did not fit into the cloning kit which makes me think that this hard drive configuration is obsolete and this laptop can not be upgraded at all, which sucks considering how much $$$ I've spent on this equiptment upgrade...

  I can't find info on internal hard disk of purchases on the HP website. Anyone know what new hard drive will work in this old laptop?

  I found the answer. It turns out that my computer is so old that about a year after I bought it, HP changed the configuration of HDD on their laptops all line of Pavilion in the future. The HD config in my laptop is now part of a line that was interrupted for more than 2 years. This old line goes only up to into space at 120 GB if you can find an old still sold online. Retailers do not sell them more.

  And I can't use the clone HD product that I bought since my hard drive is obsolete and does not.

  So I'm pretty much stuck with what I have now. It's not worth the hassle. I'm going to do with this for a year (with an external hard drive), and then get a new machine.
