The video stream will appear completely dark to the person at the other end of the video call.

I clearly see the person at the other end, but the person on the other end sees only a black screen.

It is not that the front facing camera is not generating a signal. It generates a signal to display but the brightness is very low.

Problem persists regardless of the application used for video calls (Facebook Messenger, Hangouts etc.)

  • Adobe Capture will come to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)?

I had a Nexus x 5 phone running the latest Android OS 6.0 and wonder when or if Capture will be updated to run on this OS?

  • 6 Android: Stage3D AIR application cannot return background

    Description of the problem:

AIR for android app with < application android: hardwareAccelerated = "true" > will get stuck and not respond if brought to the foreground from the background in Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

We did a few test with Nexus (6.0 Android) device and were able to reproduce the issue with the sample of Starling project.

App could not continue when tried to switch between apps twice, while our application is not the first time.

    Reproduction:

Application was packed with latest AIR SDK (19.0.0.213), Nexus 5 / 7 (both 6 Android)

App should continue to run, but in reality stucks (black screen) and the operating system invites you to put end unreponsive app on the second attempt to bring it to the foreground.

Disabling hardware acceleration seems to bypass the question, at the cost of performance. (< application android: hardwareAccelerated = "false" >)

We would like to hear other developers who tested their app (especially the Stage3D apps) in Android 6 Marshmallow.

Currently we have no other choice than to tell clients to refrain from upgrading their version of the OS.

    Hey Rony,

6 Android crash problem when targetSDK is set to 23 has been fixed in 20 AIR beta.

We are still working on the problem of crash after application returns background.

    Thank you

  • MOTORCYCLE G 2nd Gen - enable Wireless Display missing

I tried hard to project the screen of my phone Moto G 2nd Gen on my SONY Bravia TV. Help online through various forums, it seems that for the screen, an option "Enable wireless display" must be present on the screen Cast page to make the cast. It's missing (screenshot below). I saw this option on other Android phones.

Is it possible that I can use the screen Cast function without having to buy a device external cast? The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

No, if the option is not on the phone, then it was deleted. I think remember me Motorola commenting that there are performance problems with screen cast on the G and the feature has been removed.

  • HP officejet 6500: unable to connect the printer to my Nexus 5

I can't locate or connect manually to my hp officejet 6500 all-in-one printer from my Nexus 5 Android phone to Marshmallow.
Other devices (laptop, nexus 7, other phones) on my network recognize connect seamlessly.
But since my last system update (6.0.1) the unit cannot find my printer.
Manually enter the IP address of the printer, generates a message "unable to communicate with the printer.
I have tried to stop and start the plugin service HP, memory and cache plugin, uninstall and reinstall the plugin wiping the cache of the clearing system. But in vain.

    Hi @Aardvark1,.
    Thanks for your reply,
I tried many things before posting, as well as turn off and restart the nexus 5 or disconnect from the network.
I try to connect to the integrated Web server, I didn't know that it was possible to see the printer through the browser...
But the problem is finally solved, when as one Hail Mary after resetting on all around me, I restarted the router. Since the Nexus 5 recognizes and connects to the printer without problem what so ever :-)
    Thanks for your help,
The thread can be closed now.

  • Marshmallow 6.0 Android: Set a home screen

    Hello

Apparently Android Marshmallow does nor allow users to set a specific screen like the home screen.

On my old phone running Kitkat, I had the ability to set one of my screens as the go - to the screen by pressing the home button. Motorola is considering adding such a parameter in a future incremental update of the system?

Thank you in advance for your attention and help.

    Kind regards

Motorola has the approach to provide close to stock android and not to match a lot of customization if there are applications that meet the need - many users that wan't more customization of choose them to add other applications.

In the case of the home screens - many use the Nova pitcher or one of many other android launchers.

With Android M - push the home button always takes you to the left that most - one more to the left screen is the screen of google instant. So rather that you assign a specific screen like the home screen, you can move just everything you want on the left most screen - then pushing the home button would take you for that screen.

  • I have upgrated (it has been offered to me) Acer T04 mine (liquid Z630S) to Marshmallow 6.0 Android,.

I have upgrated (it has been offered to me) Acer T04 mine (liquid Z630S) to Marshmallow 6.0 Android, but since then, I had to reinstall 20% of applications. Computer (Windows 10) of the mine do not. He sees device and try to download the driver for him, but without success. Same AcerEXTEND on the phone of mine won't install (said as mine is not compactiable with the application).
I do don't knoww where to find a driver for a new version of Android for the model of the mine. Help, please. Thank you

    Boris

    Try this:

    (1) go to C:\Windows\INF

    (2) type "wpdmtp.inf" in the search provided to the right of the address bar in Windows 10 bar.

    (3) once you found, just right-click on it and select Install. Very, it will take a few seconds.

    (4) connect your device to the computer.

If that does not work, connect your phone and try again.

  • Huge battery with Marshmallow drain. Operating system Android phone sleep never let

    HII all

I had this problem with lollipop on my Xperia Z5, but it is now still present on my phone after I have updated to the marshmallow.

My phone has very big battery drain, with the the battery lasts bairly my a full day. Android operating system is almost always one of the highest consumers and is constantly keep the phone awake. I usually get 2-3 hours SOT of a full charge.

I also find that my old cell consumes a lot of battery and I have the mobile radio active bug that consumes battery too.

    Can someone please help?

Should I have a defective phone, because these deferred questions of lollipop of Marshmallow? He very poor actulally of Sony to sell a phone for $999AUD and to advertise as being the autonomy of 2 days, when barley of the battery lasts a single day with light use.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed, because I'm almost my wits end with this phone.

OK, so my use of phone batteries is returned to normal.

I did some tests and concluded that it must some wakelock which is the origin of my phone to stay awake and goes to sleep. I narrowed down it to 2 things.

1 Bluetooth: When my phone disconnects my Bluetooth car, I think a wake lock happens and something prevents the phone from sleep and does not go to sleep or doze. A reboot usually solves the problem. But then again, sometimes it don't happen.

2 uni WiFi. On my Uni WiFi, especially the eduroam network, the phone remains awake too, if I forget the eduroam network (or simply turn off WiFi), and restart the phone, the question is not coming back.

Im not sure what exactly are the causes them to occur. But I haven't found that one or the other sometimes cause the phone to stay awake. I have slightly more but I'm not rooted and do not want to tamper with the phone any further.

Do not use the wireless eduroam network, or use only not my car stereo bluetooth seems to prevent the phone to stay awake.

Now I get 1 or 2 days autonomy with screen of 3 to 4.5 hours in due time. But on average my phone lasts me easily with about 50-60% remining 1 day when I'm in bed.

  • A7000 Performance of Marshmallow with SD card internal

I plan to update my Lenovo A7000 Lollipop in Marshmallow. I know that my SD card would be a format if I chose to put my SD card in internal memory. I worry about performance because I know that the speed of read/write of internal origin is faster than the SD card read/write speed.

I use Sandisk Ultra 32 GB Class 10 UHS-1. This is recommended. But I want to make sure if its OK to update to the marshmallow. Thank you

You can update Marshmallow because the read/write speed won't matter that much stability of the device is passed to a large extend after updates to Marshmallow

  • MAF Oracle will support Android 6 Marshmallow?

MAF Oracle will support Android 6 Marshmallow?

    Hello.

Oracle frequently publishes new MAF to add new features, fix problems and extend the support. We monitor very closely future versions of mobile OS supported by the framework.

Although I can't comment on the timeline, you can expect Oracle to fully support future versions of Android, including 6 Android. Obviously, our plans could change at any time, but I don't see us not fall for the mobile OS more popular on the market.

Just for fun, I briefly tested the public WorkBetter sample using the Android emulator. I chose the x 86 32-bit image Google API Marshmallow system. The application went very well. This does not mean there will be no problems, but should give you some confidence on our support for 6 Android.
