About save PDF.

The document is a form actually.

I noticed that if I just fill in only one field and not chang the cursor on the other domain, the 'save' button and the menu is disabled, also the CTRL + s is disabled.

I can only close the document, then Acrobat will ask to save the document.

If I fill the field and move the cursor to another field orders are OK.

My problem is, in this circumstance, I couldn't use PDDocGetFlags to determine if the document is changed.

How to solve this problem?

Thank you!

My acrobat is 8.1.5

Technically, the PDDocGetFlags gives you a correct result, Leonard said, up to what the form field loses focus the document has not changed and therefore does not require a backup.

That's how the fields of the form are implemented, you could try to call AVAPgeViewClearFocusAnnot () and then check the PDDoc flags, because this call should cause the form development of losing and so update the status of the document.

    Since the installation of Windows 10 I'm not able to save PDF files from my browser, Microsoft Edge.  Save the button is grayed out.

    Hey cabsagent,

    Once you open the PDF in the edge browser, you need and do a right click on it then choose register under in the context menu to save the file.

    There is no such 'Save' icon as edge browser uses its own Viewer to open PDF files.

    Hope that helps.

    I've just upgraded to Adobe reader DC and now I can't save PDFs. really really frustrated. Says that it cannot connect to a DDE server.

    In previous versions of reader, a small change in the Windows registry fixed this problem.  I don't know if this still works for CD player, but it is interesting to try: download, unzip, then run the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/aa605eb3-5973-4cab-85d0-dea22fb92680

    It will make the following change to the registry:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application]

  • Work around the window "save PDF file under ' registration

    In Adobe Acrobat Professional 10, is there a way to bypass the window "save PDF file under ' and have just the file save as the same file name or a different file name?  Then once I select 'Adobe PDF' printer and click Print, I would like that the file just to save in the same directory, in that it is.  I don't care if it overwrites the existing file or creates a new file.

    The Ride: I'm using the portfolio feature, then using the configuration of the printer for each file to reduce by 20%.  Using the print to pdf feature, I'm resave files reduced.  2000 files in the portfolio, and I don't want to see this Save As pop-up 2000 times.

    In the printer preferences, cut request file name.

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    It depends on.

    This seems to be a problem independent of the operating system or version of the product. What happens and when can we expect a patch? The fact that Adobe is unable to save a PDF file to other file formats has been a permanent frustration of my colleagues and myself for some time. I would be very grateful to know a method to fix the error so that we no longer have to rely on third party software to do the job that your product is supposed to do.

    Also, if anyone out there is in the same boat, I encourage you to take the floor. I also encourage other people to try to save the PDF files as images and report if you encounter the same problem.

    Hi Geoffrey,.

    Thank you for pointing out this problem. Let me check a few details about this problem with Acrobat.

    In the meantime, please try this:

    Open a PDF in Acrobat

    Go to file > export to > Image > JPEG

    Save as dialog click on the settings button in the lower part

    In the color management pane

    Click on the drop down to RGB

    Select Off & Ok

    Save the file in JPEG format

    I would like to know if it works.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a - cannot save pdf in multiple files via touch screen

    Hello world

    My problem is that I can't save my scans in multiple files (.pdf) If you use the "scan to file function" via the touch screen on my Officejet Pro 8500 A910a a shortcut. It works when scaning manually from the computer, but I need to work from the printer/scanner.

    The only way that the scan shortcut saves each page separately (works the way I need) is when you save as a .jpg file, but this isn't the exit, I need. I search for an .xml file change the shortcuts manually, but have not found one. Since my other printer 8500 A909a can analyze each page in a single .pdf file, it must be a question of settings that the A910a does not offer this parameter directly.

    I appreciate any assistance with this problem.

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Driver: OJ8500_A910_1315

    Firmware: OJP8500_A910a_1231A

    Hi RnRMusicMan,

    the solution you are suggesting is what I have now and the reason why I even started this thread. Analysis each page separately from the touch screen is a pain in the a * and analysis of PC via a scan profile is not the way to go for me either. Thank you in any case, it seems like it is actually a problem in the software and I have to be careful next time, choose a new printer.

    Hi Koumack,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I see that you are trying to save your scans in multiple files (.pdf) using the analysis of the function of file.

    That's what I could find in my resources:

    How to perform a scan: from the control panel

    Breast of HP Scan, select scan on a daily basis, and then click Advanced settings, select the file tab and check create a separate file for each scanned page. Click OK. It should work from the software.

    Otherwise, even if it may be a longer process, as a work around the printer, you can scan a page using the scanner glass.

    Hope this helps and have a nice day.

  • HOWTO save PDF generated (using BEEP) directly in the custom as BLOB table?

    Hello

    I'm working on APEX on the Oracle DB 12 c version 5.0.1 (Oracle database, 12 c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 - 64 bit)

    We have an application which was initially founded in APEX 4.1, but migrated to 5 APEX.

    Now, we want to add features.

    In a report from the region (classic report), one of the columns is an image of the print icon that on click starts a JS function.

    Basically, this generates a PDF using BI Publisher in the background.

    Query of the region:

    Select ' < a href = "#" onclick = "javascript:f_PrintReport('||)." dcl.ID |') ; "> < img src =" "#IMAGE_PREFIX #print02.gif ' alt = 'Print' > < / a > ' Print"

    of my_custom_table;

    The page level (header HTML) JS

    < script language = "JavaScript" type = "text/javascript" >

    <!--

    function f_PrintReport (declaratie_id)

    {

    get var = new htmldb_Get (null, $v ('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS is SET_REPORT_PARAMETER', $v ('pFlowStepId'));

    get.addParam('x01',declaratie_id);

    gReturn = get.get ();

    get = null;

    check the dest to run the correct report

    Run the report

    document. Location.href = ' f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = VAT STATEMENT ';

    }

    ->

    < /script >

    It's using queries report and presentations in the shared components. It all works well.

    But after generation, we now want to save the PDF generated as a BLOB in a custom table.

    I am looking how I can "capture" this output to be stored directly in the DB.

    Some advice there?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    I use different how to cope:

    I read the report of APEX_UTIL. GET_PRINT_DOCUMENT to the variable of BLOB.

    After that I just create target resp file.

    I use this just after APEX_UTIL. GET_PRINT_DOCUMENT that opens the browser download link.

    part of the code example:

    In your case use just insert in the table instead of the file from the Bank on the file system.

        v_filename_xls := v_filename||'.xls';
        -- crate the PDF file to external dir
        l_document := APEX_UTIL.GET_PRINT_DOCUMENT (
          p_application_id      => :APP_ID,
          p_report_query_name   => 'report_ins',
          p_report_layout_name  => 'report_ins',
          p_report_layout_type  => 'rtf',
          p_document_format     => 'xls');
        --
        l_blob_len := DBMS_LOB.getlength(l_document);
        --
        if not utl_file.is_open(f_data_init) then
          dbg_pk.trc(2,'create file for write.');
          f_data_init := utl_file.fopen(v_if_dir, v_filename_xls, 'W', 32767);
        end if;
        --
        -- Read chunks of the BLOB and write them to the file
        -- until complete.
        WHILE l_pos < l_blob_len LOOP
          DBMS_LOB.read(l_document, l_amount, l_pos, l_buffer);
          UTL_FILE.put_raw(f_data_init, l_buffer, TRUE);
          l_pos := l_pos + l_amount;
        END LOOP;
        -- Close the file.
        UTL_FILE.fclose(f_data_init);
