Access 2010 tricks: Ghost Tables

I'm working on upgrading a client of CF5 CF10 as 2010 access to SQL Server Express 2012.

I suspect that they recently moved from Access 2000 to 2010 on some message that I fell due. Don't know if it's German for this conversation or not, so I thought I'd throw that in.

In the new environment CF10, I had a request fails. At first glance, it appeared that one table has not met during the conversion.

Check my backup copy of the Access database - this table is not there.

Tested production (CF5 running Access) system and this program works.

Looked in the production Access database - and the picture is NOT there, either!

What is this magic?  I do not see the stored procedures, and it is not a slider (CF5 do not have this ability).

This is the query:

< cfquery name = "get_job" datasource = "m" >

SELECT *.

OF validate_jobnumber

< / cfquery >

How is it possible to query an Access table that does not exist?  Where should I look for this mythical creature?

RLS

Too bad, think about it.  The copy I had do not have applications in it. There are a number of queries in the Access database. RLS

    Hello

    I use the package Windows 2007 and have been searching the Internet to find a product key for Access 2007, without success.   Actually before I do anything I want just to make sure that if Microsoft Access Run time appears in my programs menu "uninstall / change" which means I no longer Access 2010.

    A few months ago, I thought that I needed a more advanced software in order to progress of CTC studies HND.  However, I have since discovered that the same software than last year is all I need.  So I foolishly went and downloaded the Trial Version of Office Professional 2010 and this seems to have deleted my Access 2007 I need of EMERGENCY for studies at the College, HND preferably before Thursday if possible.

    If someone is able to help find a product key and send it to me online rather than having to go to a store and buy the software, as it's wasting valuable time, I would be grateful.

    Thank you for your help.

    You will need to find the original for your Microsoft Access 2007 (or Office 2007) installation package if that is what you had installed. Office 2010 trial installation automatically removes the previous version as well as its license information.

    Hi mikeb92102353,

    Yes, it is a problem in the last patch of DC. The short term solution until a fix is released is to disable the Protected Mode (via preferences (enhanced) protection in the drive). See https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783

  • Microsoft Access 2010 woes...

    3 days... As I tried to get it going. I hope someone can help.

    I went through about 12 items, KBs, recipes step by step and I can't get this package to work...

    VM update: XP SP3, the latest patches installed, ThinApp 4.7.3 - 891762

    Destination: Windows 7 SP1, latest patches, 64-bit.

    My question is permitted relative, speaking on all the blogs I found but I can't make it work. I always get this message: "Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. The Application will now be stopped. »

    I have a thick installation of Office 2010 on the target workstations. From what I've read, this is an issue that has been resolved with the latest version of ThinApp, which I am running.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a case open with VMware and so far, they showed me the KBs, I had already read...

    My recipe for the installation:

    1 copy the VM build sources of installation of Access 2010.

    2. turn off the network

    3. pre-scan performance

    4. take the snapshot

    5 install C:\Office access (I created an MSP file, but I also tried with a manual installation with the same result).

    6. Open Access 2010, disable update checking, make sure it is NOT turned on, press F1 to start Help menu, and then close.

    7. usually, I activate the network here, run a windows update to get the latest updates for Access, then disable the network. After verification it is not yet enabled. I also tried without doing this step, the same result.

    8 execution postscan

    9 remove history %, % %, % % files Cookies Cache Internet fonts (tried without this step as well)

    10 copy the files captured in my network share and then start editing configs.

    One step says to copy the OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform file from
    %Drive_C%\Documents and All Users\Microsoft
    TO
    %Drive_C%\ProgramData

    I've tried (ProgramData does not exist, I have to create it).

    PACKAGE. INI

    1. enable the MSIstreaming (1)

    2 set VirtualComputerName = ACCESS2010 (to check the newspaper of KMS, easier than admin-1435986)

    3 exclude filelist (also tried without it)

    ExcludePattern = * .bak, MSI, *.mst *.cab *.msp

    When I try to select the connections ODBC via 'External data'-> 'database ODBC' standard connections such as "dBASE Files", "Excel Files", "database MS Access' are not displayed.

    While strengthening the application on a machine own .NET Framework is already installed like the one proposed by VMware ThinApp'ing MS Office 2010.

    These rows are added to Package.ini before the generation process is initiated to allow communication between installing native and ThinApp:

    VirtualizeExternalOutOfProcessCOM = 0

    ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions = WINWORD. EXE; EXCEL. EXE; POWERPNT. EXE; MICROSOFT OUTLOOK. EXE; MOC:EXE; NOTES. EXE

    Well, they're not supposed to appear on the tab "file data Source. They are present in the tab "Machine Data Source.

    Your MS Access virtual seems to work fine for me. To confirm that you can try to create a new file or machine data source.

    If you actually gave grants to the public then always this user can access this table. This is why you must revoke these privileges to the public, but first consider this: this can problem your application?

  • Simple query in Oracle Table in MS Access causes a full table scan.

    I run a very simple query in MS ACCESS to an Oracle table attached as follows:

    Select *.
    EXPRESS_SERVICE_EVENTS-(EXPRESS is the name of the related table. SERVICE_EVENTS)
    When executed > MyDate()

    or

    Select *.
    EXPRESS_SERVICE_EVENTS-(EXPRESS is the name of the related table. SERVICE_EVENTS)
    When executed > [Forms]! [MyForm]! [Date1]

    We have more than 50 machines and this query works well on more than half of them, using an Oracle Index on the field "run." Exactly the same thing running on other machines results in a full table scan, so regardless of the index (the DB access even access all machines).

    Strangely, if we write the query as follows:

    Select *.
    Of EXPRESS_SERVICE_EVENTS
    When executed > # 2009-09-04 08:00 #.

    It works fast everywhere!

    Any help with this "phenominon" would be appreciated.

    We did the things:
    Check the locale settings of the ODBC driver, MS Access settings (as in tools-> Options), we have the latest XP and Office service packs and re-related all the Access Tables on the slow and fast machines independently).

    All machines use the same version of the ODBC driver?

    Assume that the user is XYZZY. We run a simple nice don't shop here - no roles, just different schemas.

    When I connect to sqlplus to run Access simple external table that works, I connect as XYZZY. ( it works )

    When I connect my type code compile, I connect as XYZZY. ( so far, so good )

    When I connect to run the stored procedure that uses the object type, I connect as XYZZY. ( does not work.  get ORA-06564: there is no error object XXX_DAT_DIR )

    As mentioned above, I've recently logged and re-run all grants to the user XYZZY.

    When I ran the small test which included the role set to none (after replaying all grants), I logged as user XYZZY, and even though this user has grants, the test has failed. ( , it was a test based on an idea that the problem was that the subsidies have been an role, not the user.  Apparently not the problem ).

  • BlackBerry 10 need help: Configuration of Outlook Web Access 2010 in Z10

    Hello.

    Summer tinkering with my Z10 on how I can configure my email to work (by using OWA 2010) but my efforts were in vain.  The settings I used were the same settings I used in my Bold 9780 who works so I'm at a lost, why it can't work on my Z10.

    All the suggestions/advice/help will be welcomed with open arms

    Thanks in advance.

  • Access to an external table via the display in the UCM configuration manager problem

    Hi all

    I know that this question is already asked here: to access the external tables in DB / in UCM Applet configuration manager but the conversation has already been archived, and I can't comment there. I'm following approach given by William Phelps in above said archived thread.

    I am able to create dblink with data remote and created the view by using the linked table in my diagram of the Complutense University of Madrid. The problem that I face is that this point of view such as told by William is not visible in the configuration manager. Although I tried to give (create view and create all views) system diagram University Complutense of MADRID user privileges, but I'm not sure that it will also provide access rights. I am using the SQL Developer and working at the University Complutense of MADRID 11 g.

    All comment or suggestion will be a great help.

  • Access a view of Table with DAL | Documaker 12.2 - ODBC

    Hello

    We want to access a view using DAL during batch printing to access the information of the entity. This info would go on a separator Page in batch (paper) print.

    1 is this (a VIEW access) even possible?

    2 see. us DB functions in the documentation. I think that we need an ODBC connection, Manager of the DB for the view.

    Grateful if someone guide us to the required process.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    Yes it is possible, provided the machines where you run Documaker have access to the database, and the necessary drivers are configured correctly. You don't mention what version of Documaker you run or what platform it is being run. DAL documentation is available in different versions:

    The process is generally the same for the Standard of Documaker editions:

    (1) set an INI setting DBHandler

    (2) implement the DAL functions for the DB operations

    The doc for 11.5 begins on page 43 of the above link and describes creating a DBHandler for different types of files and databases. You are not limited to ODBC, so check the documentation for your version of Documaker - some options are DB2, ODBC, SQL Server, Excel files, etc. Once you create the entry of DBHandler, you must set the DBTable who described the DISPLAY you will access. The DBTable has, as one of its options, the name of the DBHandler which must be used to access. Then, you create a DFD that defines the display (or table) - structure columns, data types and lengths. Most of this is detailed in the same document, although information on the creation of a DFD are located in other documents. You probably already - examples of DFD files, otherwise they are available in the documentation according to the Documaker version you are using. To 11.5, check the Documaker Studio guide.

    After you have defined the DBHandler and DBTable with her partner DFD, you must then implement the code. You probably want to consider opening and closing the connection at the beginning and at the end of the race, or even at the level of the lot so you do not adversely affect performance. You will implement the query at the same level as the separator page (which means that if you build pages of separation in a PostTransactionDAL, you will do the same for the connection.

    Example Configuration

    < dbtable:myview="">

    DBHandler = MYHANDLER

    DFD is c:\deflib\view. DFD

    < dbhandler:myhandler="">

    Install = SQW32-> SQInstallHandler

    Server = myserver

    User = documaker

    Passwd = ~ ENCRYPTED xxxx

    Note: remember to create the appropriate DFD!

    Code example - open/close

    * Open the connection to the database - made a batch or run level before you process transactions.

    * Open the dbTable called BIRD with the DBHandler set in the DBTable for BIRD. Optionally, you can specify a particular Manager in the DBOpen below.

    RC = DBOPEN ("MYVIEW",,"c:\fap\mstrres\run\deflib\view.dfd","READ");

    * manage return codes...

    * Close the connection when we finished. This should be done at the end of all operations processing.

    RC = DBClose ("BIRD");

    Example of Code - query

    To prepare the query variables. Variables preceded "REC".

    RC = DBPrepVars ("" BIRD"," REC");

    * manage the return code...

    find value and use.

    * query parameters are the value of the column, [,...] shown as COL1 = value1, COL2 = value2. Replace these values and the actual column names.

    * Note that DBFind accesses the FIRST record that matches the specified criteria.

    RC = DBFind("MYVIEW","REC","COL1","Value1","COL2","Value2");

    * You can replace with variables DAL here, so if you have a variable DAL containing a name of entity or similar,

    * rc = DBFind("MYVIEW","REC","PERSON_NAME",entityName);

    * manage return codes...

    * data access

    * using the variable prefix created in DBPrepVars (in this case, we use "REC"). The column names are those defined in the DFD. Example:

    print_it (REC. SOMECOLUMNNAME);

    Other Options

    You can also loop through the records by using the DBFirstRec and DBNextRec functions and evaluate each record to determine if it meets your criteria for use. However, it is recommended to use DBFind and get the exact record you need (also let the database do the work of localization of the registration right for you.

    Example:

    RC = DBPrepVars ("BIRD", "REC");

    RC = DBFirstRec ("BIRD", "REC");

    While rc = 1

    evaluate the data using REC.columnname

    * for example IF (REC. Col1 = 'Value1')...

    * a code...

    * If we have located the folder that we need, drop out of the loop

    BREAK;

    * background loop.

    RC = DBNextRec ("BIRD", "REC");

    WEND

    * more than code...

    Hope this helps,

    Andy

  • Access column in the Table - redhat jdev 11.1.2.3 inputValue 5.8

    Hello:

    In the HR schema:

    I dropped a collection DEPARTMENTS of control data as a table read-only on a page. I see references to the columns in the Source, such as < af:outputText value = "#{rank." DepartmentName}"id ="ot2"/ >

    Outside the table I put an AF:outputText on the page and set its value to "#{rank." DepartmentName}', but it still shows a white... What I am doing wrong?

    How can I access a column value in the currently selected row in the table in EL and Java?

    Thank you very much.

    It is not necessary to write your own selctionListener. All you have to do is to add an attributeValue column in the section of the pageDef binding.
    One of the ways to do this is to drag the VO, you used for the table and drop it on the page as a form of ADF (you can use only one form to read if you do not plan to change values). This will create the bindings for all the values of columns in the row selected in the pageDef. Now, as you do not need the form, switch to source mode and remove all fields do ' t you need the page. This leaves the links in the pageDef, but remove the unnecessary page visual fields.
    Now when you select a row in the table, that the framework will load the values in the row in the attributeValues wherever you can easily access it.

    r.RPTNO "Bug number"
    r.Status "Bug Status",
    r.cs_priority "priority."
