  I have an image of Suse Linux that I run in VMware player that hosts a web page.

  The IP address of the physical machine is 192.168.0.8. The IP address of the VM image network port is 192.168.0.100

  When I'm on my local network of the I can access the web page dedicated to the 192.168.0.100 with no problems.

  However, when I visit a client and I don't have a network, I have run the local virtual machine on the machine but cannot access the web page.

  I have install the virtual machine network as bridged so that it works on my local network.

  Why can I not itself this when I do not have LAN connectivity?

  What I need to change when I'm at a client site and I don't have access to the network and not a LAN access so that I can access the web pages hosted in the virtual machine?

  The whole point of this is that I run the virtual machine when I'm at a client site so that I can demo of the software, but if I can't access the software, I can't demo it?

  Any ideas on that?

  Use NAT on the NIC of the virtual machine, and then use the IP address that is assigned to the virtual computer by the server DHCP VMnet8.

  I have access to internet pages very slow Windows XP since the upgrade to Fusion 3.    I'm on the Fusion Version 3.0.1 (215242).   A page can take up to 20 minutes to load completely.   Needless to say that this is unacceptable.   I had introduced a SR 2 weeks but had only one piece of feedback ensuring that I was on the 3.0.1 release.    Working for a company that puts "The CUSTOMER FIRST", I find it appalling.  East - normal response time?   I even collected support information and attached to the SR.  I tried NAT and bridged access and neither makes a difference.   I can connect to my corporate network through the VPN and pings our servers and get a quick response, so this seems to be somehow related to navigation.  My IE browser version is 8.0.6001.18702.   I don't have any issues browsing on a Mac with Safari.   Before the 3.0 upgrade, everything worked fine.

  You don't have to download through Internet Explorer concerned.  You can download from OS X and drag-and - drop in XP or use shared folders.

  Since you mentioned a McAfee expired, perhaps, its function of scan link SiteAdvisor is broken and delaying all your pages web or this could be the Filter SmartScreen in Internet Explorer (Tools).  Try to uninstall McAfee and/or disabling SmartScreen.  Otherwise use OS X download httpwatch and make comments in some other way (other than the download in Internet Explorer).

If you change your BB browser identification (might older browsers, more recent are all automatic) to something else (for example, IE or FireFox), it is possible, you might be able to then cross through the native browser.

  But, once again, of all, as you said, all I can assume is that you carrier has the blocker in place on their websites, blocks access to the browsers of BB. Why they have it is a question that only they can answer. The fact that you reproduced it with another BB only reinforces this conclusion.

  If you go to Administration and change privileges, there are a lot of possibilities for displays in responses and users, the catalog groups and applications can change.  You should be able to change access from there.

  I think I found the problem, now that you pointed out where I should be looking. I found the original HTML code, and in most cases, the references are strictly local. But in the case of problem, the link contains the name of the file, what Firefox interprets as an application to point to the original file on the server rather than the local copy. Is this is a bug or a feature would make an interesting discussion. I'm going to ask that the web Manager is is what they meant to happen. I'll try another browser to see what happens there.

  ActiveX and the "DOM" are the only way I know to programmatically manipulate web pages - here's one link with some attachments that can help.

  If you encounter an obstacle, perhaps the switch supports a different control interface, such as SNMP (?)
