• Install on the new instance of SCOM 2012 Dell management packs, questions...

  I was given a task to install SCOM 2012 to monitor a lot of servers, including Dell.  Problem that I am running is when I try to install the Dell Management Pack, it keeps asking me for the Dell device to support COM + user/pass.  I put in the account to use us to access these machines, but it does not work.  I tried a few other user/pass, but nothing seems to work.  I'm really new to Dell servers (first time I'm doing business with them) so not sure what is the problem.  I can't find the good research to find a solution to this problem.

  Can anyone offer some advice?

  To extract members without providing identification of the AD information, you can run the Setup program on your desktop computer / laptop (no Windows Server version). The credentials of the AD are required for the configuration of a DLL, which is necessary for servers using WS - MAN (called Out-Of-Band followed in the product documentation).

• Cannot save the Management Pack Configuration in VROPS

  We started to experience a strange problem with our new VROPS 6.1 deployment when you try to configure certain management packs.

  We have 3 VrOPs devices deployed, Master, Master Replica and collector remote monitoring 3 standard vSphere (2 vRealize and a NSX) deployed using VMware cluster more practices and are working well. We had some problems with our vSAN where we lost a large amount of data because of a corrupted data store which meant losing our vCenter cluster Resource and Management 2 devices. Our vROPS / /vRA of the PSC devices / instances were fine as they were running on other storage. We had to re-bulid our vCenter but now have everything back running as expected.

  However... We started to add the vRA and SCOM management packs in vROPS which works well and sets up very well... but then something strange happening after about 5 minutes of data collection... the Configuration of each of the vRA and adapters SCOM disappears... And data collection stops. For more visit, it seems that someone has gone and remove the configuration of the adapter, but this isn't the case, because no one else has access to this environment.

  In any case, now when we try to re - configure an instance / configuration of an adapter we can not save the configuration of the card after we successfully test the connection we get this strange message that I have attached a screenshot in this post.

  The message reads the following:

  1. Unable to create the resource to HAVE it. Resource with the same key already exists.

  We have tried to remove the packs management, PAK re - install and replace the existing, but it does not work we always get the same error when trying to save.

  We are not now able to save the configuration of the vRA or SCOM adapters... and I'm a bit puzzled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I had similar problem. Which user are you logged as? There is a problem with the user rights and management packs. Only the local administrator users must be used, try to connect to this account and see if your configuration is not there already (such as msg of error States).

• How to view/export Management pack granted granted/no data OEM?

  I see in OEM 11 g how can I view the report "Management Pack access" under the "reports" section to see what targets have enabled/granted management packs and those who are not. It's a nice matrix, but where is this data actually stored? Is there a view? I wish I could export it.

• Unable to access the second switch management

  I have two switches, as follows:

  Switch #1 is a SG300-20, L3 mode, *. 254.
  VLAN3 is 192.168.3.254.
  VLAN10 is 192.168.10.x.
  VLAN20 is 192.168.20.x.
  1 port is a port of access on VLAN3.
  2-10 ports are the ports of access on VLAN10.
  11-19 ports are on VLAN20 access ports.
  20 port is a trunk, PVID VLAN3 untagged VLAN 10 and 20 are marked.
  A cable connects port 20 to port to another switch 10.

  Switch #2 is a SG300-10, L2 mode, peripheral IP set to 192.168.3.253.
  VLAN3 defined as same switch #1.
  VLAN10 is defined as same switch #1.
  VLAN20 is defined as same switch #1.
  Port 1 is access ports on VLAN3.
  2 to 5 ports are ports of access on VLAN10.
  6-9 ports are ports of access on VLAN20.
  10 port is a trunk, PVID VLAN3 untagged VLAN 10 and 20 are marked.

  The question that I have is that any PC on any port on any switch, I can browse any of the VLAN IP to *.254 and access management SG300-20.  However, if I try to go on any IP of the VLAN to the *. 253, it expires and can not access.

  The only way I can access the SG300-10 management is by directly connecting a PC to the switch 1 Port 1 or switch 2-port 1 or 10, setting the PC to a 3.x IP IP.  I can then navigate to *.253 and it works.  How can I ensure that I can access the management console from any PC to any port?  Thanks in advance.

  Either way, everything else works as it should.  The DHCP and DNS server on the switch 1 Port 9 to 192.168.20.1 works very well, and the Internet connected to switch 1 Port 2 to 192.168.10.1 is accessible on all three VLANS.

  Hello Terry, it seems that your layer 2 switch has no default gateway defined on it.

  Just deployed vROPs to our environment in addition to vCOPs (for a little longer). I've gotta say other than the ridiculous name this product is a great step in the right direction. Much less clumsy than vCOPs. We are licensed for Standard edition vCOPs. We use vsphere 5.5.

  The Management Pack for the sounds to add storage devices as a great way to control the storage of end-to-end. Does anyone know what editions of vROPs this pak of management that can be installed on? I have a bad feeling, it's advanced and Ent.

• Management Pack for vCloud Director (vROps) connection problem / authentication adapter?

  I'm trying to configure the Management Pack for vCloud Director (Cloud Management Marketplace |) Solution Exchange) and I seem to be having trouble with the simplest thing. I have the Solution installed and configured for most, but for some reason usually reach out and join the vCD server, or have a kind of authentication problems. When I test the map with appropriate powers (local and LDAP in vCD), I get the error:

  Cannot establish a connection on the target system. Logon failed! using Host = < FQDN > User = < adminuser > @System

  The adapter puts the @System after him, or is this something so simple, that I'm more thinking than he. I'd be happy to post any kind of newspapers if needed, let me know what you need.

  You HAVE to put @system, as it should work with or without. the base public REST API URL is assigned within vCloud Director? See the manual page, installation 28...

  Have you checked for ports Firewall open between the machine virtual analytical and vCloud Director host?

• View 5.0 - SCOM Management Pack fail?

  I imported the SCOM management packs included on the install View5 media - but noticed that after a while of waiting for scans to take place - nothing appeared in none of the articles cited for vmware view.

  Please see attached screenshot - am I right to think that group management packs are for an older version of view? -J' read a previous post that mentions that there is a pack of upgrade for 4.6, however, it is lower than the version on the media-, but still is unable to interpret all the current view v5 infrastructure.

  We have a flat network with no firewall rule from the SCOM server environmental view - is there something else, I'm missing?

  Even if it shows the version as 4.5, it should work fine.

  See management packs will be available in c:\Program View\Server\extras\ManagementPacks VMware on the login server.

  Import Management Packs and installation. Discover the servers. Right-click on the discovered server and check "allow this agent to act as a proxy... "and say OK.

• SCOM Management Packs is not compatible with view 4.6?

  I have a problem with the VMWare View for SCOM Management Pack that comes with the login Server 4.6.

  The problem is that the MP does not work with / has not been updated for VMWare View 4.6.

  I was finally able to get the MP to work by changing the key value of ProductVersion Reg 4.6.0.366101 to 4.5 connection view servers.
