Accidents of Simulator XCode5 ADF Mobile update

Then I updated my JDev ADF Mobile update (11.1.2.4.39.64.62).

I'm in XCode Version 5.0.2 (A 5, 3005). I can create a new simple application with a single page (home.amx) and when I deploy it in the Simulator he closes my Simulator, opening a new and behaves as the launch of my application and then does nothing. There is no icon and nothing has been implemented in the Simulator.

[07:37:27 PM] ****************************************************************************************
[07:37:27 PM] This ADF Mobile app was deployed in Debug mode and should not
[07:37:27 PM] be used for performance evaluation purposes.
[07:37:27 PM] Set the deployment profile Build Mode option to Release for performance testing.
[07:37:27 PM] ****************************************************************************************
[07:37:27 PM] Elapsed time for deployment:  34 seconds
[07:37:27 PM] ----  Deployment finished.  ----

When I open the temporary application of Xcode, I am able to launch the app in XCode 5 successfully.

Any suggestions?

Chris,

Yes, I am aware that it is soft on the 2nd page. This isn't a "request" I ask.

My steps were this:

-deploy the app on iOS Simulator

-iOS 7.03 (B 11, 508) Simulator closed

-iOS 7.03 (B 11, 508) Simulator would open

-l' screen would flash and everything just to sit on the home screen

-J' then tried to navigate to page 2. At the time only my other apps were on the 2nd page. (not that I tried to deploy)

-J' I reset the content and settings and tried again, same thing. A flash (as he tried to run automatically), then displays the home page.

I was finally able to make it work by:

-Uninstall XCode 5.0.2 (A 5, 3005)

-uninstalled jDev 11.1.2.4

-reinstalled xcode and jdev

-install the updated mobile

-open my test application, he managed to put the app on the 2nd page

The flash and the stall on the homepage is now gone. I understand, it can be confusing to what exactly the problem I had with this update, but if all goes well in breaking it down it makes clear.

It has never been an icon of the application on the 2nd page. He simply behaved as he tried to launch automatically. Never be able to launch an application with this update, I thought he was trying to run automatically (as a new feature) instead of the old way.

I hope this post helps others that may encounter the same problem.

    public MrBean() {}

    {} public void buttonPushed (ActionEvent actionEvent)

    ValueExpression svarErRigtigt = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression ("#{bindings.name.inputValue}", String.class);

    svarErRigtigt.setValue (AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext (), "push button");

    Timer = new Timer();

    Timer.Schedule (new RemindTask(), 3 * 1000);

    }

    class RemindTask extends TimerTask {}

    public void run() {}

    ValueExpression svarErRigtigt = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression ("#{bindings.name.inputValue}", String.class);

    svarErRigtigt.setValue (AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext (), "New thing happening");

    Timer.Cancel ();

    }

    }

    }

    So when I push the button and then "pushed" shows on the screen, but the "new thing happening" message does not display after 3 seconds as expected. Can someone explain why this is and how to fix the code so that it works (I tested the run method is called after 3 seconds when trying to include a statement System.exit (0)). Thank you

    He thinks the reason why overview AMX works currently in Linux is that it uses JavaFX under the hood and there are problems with the implementation on this platform. I checked an internal construction of the next version of the extension, which runs on top of JDeveloper 12 c. The AMX preview worked properly on my Oracle Linux 6.4 VM. Of course, it is not an official statement by Oracle and our plans can change at any time.

  • New guideline of Apple cannot allow ADF Mobile to publish the application in the store in February

    Hi guys,.

    I saw a new rules that sent to the IOS Developer any delay to February 1, 2014 for submission apply new/updated App Store must generate in XCode5 and optimized for iOS7 SDK

    And the current version of the ADF doesn't support or XCode 5 and iOS Mobile 7 SDK.

    Then my current app in the App Store will be a risk with us because we are planning to update the application in the next phase in this month of February.

    So, please fix as soon as possible.

    Ref: https://developer.apple.com/news/

    Hello

    just as an fyi: we are currently working on a new game Patch for ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4 which also addresses the issue of XCODE. Beside that, Timo is correct that the RTO does not help fixing bugs because it is only a forum for communication and assistance

  • ADF Mobile Java Version

    Hi all

    JDeveloper 11 g 2 11.1.2.3
    XCode 4.5.1
    NB: I'm running the Simulator and have not yet deployed to iPhone development

    I notice some strange things and compilation and the ADF Mobile application development.

    Under the following menu:
    Classpath & application - project properties - libraries

    My Version of Java has the value "CVM_JDK". In my view, that it is a mobile version of java that is packed (phoneme_advanced)?
    It is not until I tried to create a generic data type as a Collection that I'm running into issues...

    Collection < String > strCollection = new ArrayList < String > ();

    I get the error following design pop up when I hover my cursor on the line of code above (and Yes, it is highlighted in red):

    java.util.Collection is not a generic type

    I have tried the following to work around the problem:
    "" - changed my version of Java at 1.6.0_37 in the "libraries & Classpath" (which is the default on my machine)
    -includes all the libraries that were attached to the 'CVM_JDK '.
    -changed the compatibility JDK Version to a version higher than 1.4, i.e. 1.5/1.6
    (NB: when I get the JDK Version 1.4 and compilation, the compiler returns an error: Error (8,9): generic drugs are not supported in - source 1.4)

    Then, I get runtime error:

    Version unsupported major.minor [number indicating the version of java]

    Wouldn't be fair to say that the version of the JAVA virtual machine running on the mobile device only supports version 1.4 and previous and generic versions are not supported...
    Also, this poses and issue when I am creating a carousel of images where the images are NOT in a base database as blobs, but in a folder of the project. There was a thread somewhere on this forum describing to declare a Collection and do hold the binary file... but since I can't create the Collection... I can't create a carousel...

    Any help or advice would be very appreciated =)

    Eddie

    Hey, Eddie:

    ADF Mobile integrates its own Java virtual machine in the container application. The first 2 chapters of the ADF Mobile Developer Guide contains descriptions of details of the different pieces of architecture and would help you to understand how it works. These JavaVMs are specially written for both platforms we supports, the use of mother tongues and are optimized to be light to support mobile application development.

    Currently the Java virtual machine is based on the specifications of CDC JavaME and is based on Java 1.4. You cannot change the embedded VM because the devices don't have a Java SE virtual machine that can run the code. The app must rely on the built-in virtual machine.

    This, because currently, only JavaME CDC VM is optimized for mobile devices. Despite progress in the mobile processor, it is still not at the height as the PC desktop processors. Therefore, we have implemented the JavaME CDC VM proven for iOS and Android.

    Further, there is a longer-term effort to converge JavaME in JavaSE in all areas, and ADF Mobile will be able to pick up the update when this happens.

    Now what you want to do - you can add images and other resources in the view controller - public HTML folder and referencing it in the component of the image of your application. If add you a picture to the carousel component and then to determine a schema for naming the images so it refers to the right image in the folder. The sample application CompGallery might help.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I found the answer to this error, it's like actually had reinstalled Studio Android, whereby a new directory has been created with the software, called SDK as sdk1. And in my tools-> preferences, path of the plate-shape and tools platform was given as the sdk (old directory). Now, I've updated the path in the new directory as sdk1 and it works fine.

    Best regards,

  • Support of ADF Mobile

    ADF Mobile will support Xcode 6 / 8 IOS SDK?

    According to the requirements of Apple https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=12172014b new submitted applications must be built with iOS SDK 8.

    What should I do now if I Don t update to the MAF?

    Thank you.

    As a thread that you can get a special "embedded" or "limited use" licenses for Oracle technology you are using (for example, MAF).

    This will make it much cheaper for your solution based on Oracle technology.

    Please ask your account manager for these options.

  • Oracle ADF Mobile - Android SDK problem

    Hello

    I use Jdev11.1.2.4.0 with ADF Mobile framework 11.1.2.4.39.64.71 EQUIPPED. While I'm deploying application in the Android emulator more precisely Android SDK Manager 22.2.1.

    I got an error like.

    CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified in android "C:\Program Files\Android\platform-tools\aapt"":;

    of this error. I got to know, aapt is not in the path mentioned during execution.

    But see my configuration below. I loaded different directory.

    Location of the Android SDK:

    F:\adt-bundle-Windows-x86_64-20130917\adt-bundle-Windows-x86_64-20130917\adt-bundle-Windows-x86_64-20130917\sdk

    Location of the Android platform:

    Little, I've observed, earlier we use ADF Mobile framework 11.1.2.3.xx.xx. Now, we are updated to 11.1.2.4.39.64.71. And,

    Also AVG Antivirus installed.

    I did a few months ago before deployment. I force get this error.

    My basic questions:

    1. how to solve this error. ?

    2. I loaded different directory. Why is he trying to extract from another directory. ?

    More clearly... / Platform-tools\aapt is available in drive f but it is looking for drive C Program Files...

    Help me understand...

    During this time. I have goggled out, I got a link from Jobinesh.

    Binary: Error during the deployment of the CRG app for android - cannot run the program "adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20140321\sdk\tools\zi..."

    This link is not accurate. But it helps me understand, I need to move the files to the mentioned location. But it is not sensible for me in my case.

    Thank you

    Kaim.

    You must use Oracle MAF instead of Oracle ADF Mobile in the future.

    Google continues to change the location of the files in their installation of SDK - so change between versions of the API of the location of the files.

    Make sure that you use the API right supported by your Mobile ADF or the version of the MAF.

    Hi SayantanSinha,

    If you look under API supported levels, the maximum is 19 API.  I can't speak for the ADF 11.1.2 but the lines of code in the (more recent) MAF, who have a similar support matrix, we have noted problems with the API 20.

    You can download older versions of the API of the Manager of Android SDK tool.  Remember to update your EPCO or JDev SDK configuration with the version that you want to use once it is installed.

  • ADF Mobile: Create contact

    I am trying to add the functionality of contact to create my mobile app and followed the instructions here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpkJDeRH2ys

    I created a bean managed and added the following code:

    {} public void newPhoneContact (ActionEvent actionEvent)

    DeviceManager device = DeviceManagerFactory.getDeviceManager ();

    Contact = new Contact();

    ContactName, contactName = new ContactName();

    contactName.setFamilyName ("Doe");

    contactName.setGivenName("John");

    contact.setName (contactName);

    ContactField phoneNo = new ContactField();

    phoneNo.setType ("mobile");

    phoneNo.setValue("815-000-0000");

    ContactField [] phoneNos = new ContactField [] {phoneNo};

    contact.setPhoneNumbers (phoneNos);

    Contact newContact = device.createContact (contact);

    }

    When I run the application, nothing happens, and there is no error message in the logs. Page AMX code is:

    "< amx:commandButton id ="cb6' icon="/images/add_contact.png '.

    actionListener="#{viewScope.newContact.newPhoneContact}"/ >

    I don't know if I'm missing something here.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    I checked this with success in JDev ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.39.64.64 against XCode 5.0.2 & iOS Simulator 7.0 11.1.2.4.0 and separately 4.2.2 Android API level 17.  It works on both platforms.

    Please indicate which versions of platforms and software that you use, you deploy too.  More information the better.  It is also important on iOS when first invited to allow the application to access the contacts on the unit you click Yes.

  • Access a secure web service of ADF Mobile Application

    Hello

    We try to create an ADF Mobile application that uses a secure web service located in Oracle EBS (with SOA Suite).

    We use JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.2.4.0

    Initially, create usd a Control(SOAP/REST) Gallery Web Service data and provided the WSDL document. We tried to run on a simulator, but not did not do anything. We have also found a way to provide the user name and password. So we left it there.

    Then we tried to create a Java desktop app to check if it was a problem with our server. In the desktop application, we created a "Web Service Client and Proxy" new gallery followed the steps and used oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy, added the code below to put the username and password and was able to call the service and retrieve data.

    (reqContext.put (BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "DBAKER");

    reqContext.put (BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY, "xxxxx");

    So we thought to return to the application the ADF Mobile and creating a "Web Service Client and Proxy" it, but when we built this project, we had the ' annotations are not supported in - source 1.4 "&" generics are not supported in - source 1.4 "errors and found that ADF Mobile does not support beyond Java 1.4" "» (Is that right?)

    We then found the video "to access the secure Services of ADF Mobile Web" by Shay (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk5om3o3Pas) and saw that he was using a login server.

    We wanted to confirm if you use a login server is the right path to access a secure web service of an Oracle ADF Mobile application?

    Are there other ways to do it?

    If we need to create a login server, can provide you links that will put us on the right track in establishing a connection server that can connect to the EBS?

    Thank you.

    The URL must point to a protected page that prompts the user for basic authentication.

    See an example here:

  • ADF Mobile: deployment on multiple iOS Devices

    Hello

    I have developed a custom application of ADF Mobile and successfully deploy the same on an iPad using the certificate of distribution companies.

    As I borrowed someone's iPad I returned the unit and the device is somewhere else now.

    After deploying to the device, I had made the same request to the iOS Simulator using a different profile of deployment.

    Now, I want to get the. File API to run the application on another iPad, but when I checked the deployment folder in the workspace that I can't see everything. IPA file.

    If I deploy the application on iOS Simulator using the deployment profile configured for the distribution company profile I would be able to run on any other iPad .app file.

    And is it possible to extract the. IPA file from the old iPad? Any other alternative that someone might suggest.

    Kind regards

    Himanshu

    Solved. The .ipa file located in "Music/iTunes/iTunes/Mobile Media Applications.

  • ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.1 Patch?

    Hello

    The page of "Oracle JDeveloper and application development " framework (ADF) 11 g Release 2 (11.1.2.4.0)OTN (JDeveloper 11 g Release 2 (11.1.2.4.0) Known Issues & lt; / title & gt; & lt; meta name = & quot;) Title & quot; content = & quot; JDeveloper...)

    .. .talks on a Mobile ADF 11.1.2.4.1patch. Is this available for download? I can't find it anywhere.

    Thanks, Rich.

    Hi, the "patch" is probably confusing because you would actually replace the whole extension of ADF Mobile with a new version in the center of update of JDeveloper.  You should see a notification in JDeveloper updates are available, and the new ADF Mobile extension would be downloaded as part of this update.  If you are not sure, you can also manually select Help - updates - official Oracle updates and Extensions and you should see what ADF Mobile listed as an available update.  If you do not see the extension listed, it means in fact that the extension has been already updated.

    After updating, you can go to the Help menu - about - "Extensions" tab and scroll down to the entry of the ADF Mobile Framework extension. If you scroll to the right, you should see a list column 'Version '.  For the latest patch ADF Mobile version should be 11.1.2.4.39.64.44.

    In fact, you won't explicitly see 11.1.2.4.1 in JDeveloper - it is a version number used internally to track updates.

    Thank you

  • ADF Mobile: How to upgrade chart dvtm

    Hello

    I'm developing an ADF Mobile application that has component dvtm:graphLine. When the application is paused (user switches to another application, for example) and open the application again at a later date, should automatically refresh the chart to display the current data. I put in place of the page life cycle and function to activate it, I try to refresh the iterator. However when I open the app, suspend and open again, the chart says "No Data", even if the iterator is updated (I can follow in web service log) how can I update the graph to display the data updated? Another way of saying, how can the chart automatically update us when the underlying iterator is updated?

    Kind regards

    You might have better luck if you post an example of code, like how you refresh the iterator. Have you tried using the PropertyChangeSupport notification?

  • ADF Mobile Apple rejection (terminateWithStatus)

    Hi ADF Mobile community,

    We receive a rejection of Apple for an application that was written with Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4 (it is listed below). Can someone shed some light on how to find and fix the problem?

    Thank you

    -asa

    Apple

    We found that your application uses non-public APIs one or more, which is not in accordance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The use of non-public API is not permitted, because it can lead to a poor user experience should change these API.

    We have found the following non-public API/s in your application:

    _terminateWithStatus:

    If you have defined methods in your source code with the same names as the above API, we suggest to change your method names so that they face is no longer Apple private API to avoid in your current application reported in future submissions.

    In addition, one or more of the above API may reside in a static library attached to your application. If you do not have access to the source of the library, you can search for the binary compiled using 'channels' or 'otool' command line tools. The tool 'strings' can produce a list methods that appeals to the library and the ' otool - ov "will result in Objective-C class structures and their methods defined. These techniques can help you to refine where the problematic code.

    We appreciate that you might have made precautions in your code to use the non-public APIs, however, there is no way of correctly or completely predict how an API may be changed and what effects these changes can have. For this reason, we do not allow the use of non-public API in applications from the App Store.

    Hi, Asa, even if we have solved this outside of this thread, I would formally respond to this topic to close the discussion.

    The version the most recent update of the ADF Mobile extension solved that problem.  There should be an update to the extension of the ADF Mobile in the center of update of JDeveloper.  To get the update, go to the JDeveloper - Help - Check For Updates menu item - official Oracle Extensions and updates, and you should see an extension of the ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.39.64.44.  You will need to download the extension, restart JDev, and then go to the Build menu item - clean to clean the ancient artifacts of deployment.  You can re - deploy the application.  No changes in the application are necessary - change is in the runtime only, and you can resubmit the application to the AppStore.

    After you apply this hotfix, there are several known approvals of applications for ADF based Mobile that has verified the fix.

    Thank you
