  • XPS 8700, out-of-box speaker 5.1 audio problems

I had ongoing audio problems since the purchase of my XPS 8700 8.1 desktop system of 64-bit Windows on January 15 and set up with my speaker Altec Lansing 5.1 system existing. The strangest thing happens when I play audio from different sources.

When I use YouTube programs and music of Windows, Dell MaxAudio Audio Pro software plays audio perfectly thanks to 5.1 speakers. But, when I listen to music via iTunes or try to watch a movie from a DVD factory in my factory installed DVD player, the audio plays through my two front speakers.

In addition to the issue with my 5.1 speakers, I have constant audio noise/hiss through my speakers. But, it is stranger than most of the time when I move my mouse quickly, I can hear the movement of the mouse in my speakers. The 'mouse noise' is minimal, but you can certainly hear coming from the speakers.

I spent the greater part of the past month trying to find a solution to these problems - especially the sound of hissing sound coming from my speakers and iTunes music only 2 front speakers and not my sub or rear speakers (sometimes audio will be same break in iTunes).

I had no chance whatsoever to find a "fix for the problem of iTunes/5.1 speakers, so I'd appreciate any help on this. About whistling noise emitting speakers, here's what I what I met so far, but I have yet to try it (this solution came from Google):

SOLUTION: Go to the Realtek site (www.realtek.com.tw) > click on downloads in main menu > click on High Definition Audio Codecs (software) > accept the advice > download 64-bit Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1 driver only. Version R2.73. I clicked and downloaded the link US2: 64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_R273.exe (103MB). I then ran the installation program which required two reboots to install completely.

ITS OWN PURE! The hiss is now gone when listening with my speakers. Moreover, the Dell Audio MAXX Audio Pro, which is delivered on the Dell XPS works always. I don't know what hidden feature, I could have lost, but I consider that it is resolved.

Someone has already tried this solution but who has experienced similar problems than me? I hate to be "Jackin ' ' autour with new software download and edit the factory specifications on my brand new computer. But I want my computer to work properly with my 5.1 system speakers, which worked well with my previous Dell desktop computer which was in the process of Windows 7.

One last question, can someone please clarify for me if the Dell Audio MaxAudio Pro software is a product of Realtek? I sent a support one or twice with the solution (Google) I listed above, but nothing but crickets from Realtek Realtek. Customer service poor, to date.

I thank you in advance for any help and solutions/workaround solutions, you can suggest.

It is their integrated (Realtek ALC3861 audio 7.1) product with an overlay software from Dell. So yes, you must use their site to get the latest audio driver. Our driver is very old, 20/11/13. I used the same audio driver of detail on my Alienware X 51. Works very well. I added instructions in the FAQ.
    * Go to the top of the Audio card to the desktop computer
    * Open Desktop Audio FAQ
Open the Office PC Audio drivers
    * Read "Update Realtek HD Audio"

  • Dell Latitude E5500-problems with the IDT audio driver

    Hi all!

I use Windows Vista 32bits on E5500 and everything works fine with the big exception of the audio driver. I used the latest version for this laptop which is A15, no other versions are available on the downloads page. The pilot is very unstable and crashes all the time. Pressing the sound keys does not change the audio levels instantly as expected. There is a noticeable delay in the volume control after I pressed the button. A few 4-5 or more seconds after I press Volume upwards or downwards until the press is registered. A very weird situation and nothing helped so I deleted the audio driver of Dell. I use the default Windows driver now and so far everything is ok.

Everyone has experienced a weird behavior like this on the same computer laptop? Do you know where I can find an old audio driver for E5500 so I can test again?

As the system software Dell-is important on the audio system or not so. I installed it after a recommendation in the audio FAQ here on the forum. Thanks for all the tips!

    old audio driver for E5500

    Very good selection here

All most recent drivers dated IDT must be removed from the hard disk or at least the drivers folder before installing an old date one.

With the Intel chipset driver, was important for XP, not important for 7, but not sure about Vista.

Hello, maybe it's a bug in the plugin flash adobes 11.3 - other users have also reported problems with the sound once the plugin has updated.

Please refer to the following entry in the FAQ on how to deal with this problem or report the problem with the details of your system from adobe.

in the meantime, you can try to remove flash 11.3 of the section of the configuration/program windows downgrade to an earlier version & Control Panel, until adobe fixes these problems.

  • Transcript of the audio conversation from Skype

Hi, something I didn't know before today started with Skype and I use an IPod touch gen5. I noticed when I got a call today that Skype is transcribing the audio call in the chat window. This is a feature that I accidentally introduced on somehow, or is something strange going on here. It is also for the other user when calling. I'd rather not have what is happening.

This feature is available if Skype Translator is enabled on one of the devices.

  • Equium L20: Effect Larsen Audio with webcam and MSN Messenger

    Hello

I am a user starting with an Equium L20 connected to a Logitech Web camera and an MSN e-mail account.
When I live via MSN Messenger video conversation with my daughter (300 miles) there is a very high-pitched sound of feedback that gets worse, as we speak.

It is not the webcam because it does not occur when the webcam is connected to a friends laptop and we tired 4 different ones with the same result. Is not the configuration wireless and broadband or something in our House as it does the same thing when it is connected to another (different) system 300 miles away.

Our retailer said it is not for lack of material, but cannot solve the problem despite the download of new speakers and takes us through the balance between volume settings and the wave in volume control (only works when the volume is too low to be incomprehensible!). They are now blaming MSN software.

They do not add external speakers via the connection of the headphones, but as this does not "turn off" the laptop speakers we always get feedback - as we do with headphones.

Ideas accepted with gratitude that we are missing out on see our 7 month old granddaughter growing up!

    Thank you in anticipation

    Hello

I guess that the webcam is supported by a clean microphone and therefore sound feedback occurs.
Audio feedback can occur when the audio received by a participant through its speakers, then go into the microphone.
All participants MUST have a helmet to separate audio cross over between the speakers and microphones. It is also VERY important to make sure that you have selected the microphone on your headphones and NOT the one with the built-in webcam.
Webcam microphones have a wide range and pick up lots of ambient noise and are not ideal for 2-way conversations. To ensure that the correct microphone is selected right hand mouse click on the video window, select settings, select the microphone icon and make sure that your headset is selected. The slider bar will adjust the volume level.

In addition, I found a useful FAQ page on the Toshiba site:

It does NOT describe the same question but very similar to yours. Maybe it will help you.

  • What is: IDT PC AUDIO - SHANGHAI DEVELOPMENT CENTER? I get this request to declare a 'mistake' and always send the request to the 'centre '.

In the middle of something on the internet an error request. I get this request of the 'centre' above to respond to the request to report this error

I always send the request for postponement of this 'error '.  It does not resemble the normal application I use to get from Windows Update.

IDT stands for "Integrated Device Technology" and is probably the company providing your audio device driver.  Something wrong with the driver or the audio material.  If this happened to me, I would remove the device in Device Manager and reboot to allow the relocation of the unit.  I would also visit the web site of the manufacturer of the PC and download the latest driver for the audio device.  Usually, IDT provides drivers for OEMs and provides no support for the end user.  This can be quite useful: http://www.idt.com/products/audio-products/audio-driver-support-for-users-faq
