Additional details
I have installed parental control, and my email address is * address email is removed from the privacy *. This email address is no longer valid, and it does not have the password I thought I had used. I tried several times to add/modify my new e-mail address * address email is removed from the privacy *. But my computer does not allow for any changes unless I connect using the * address email is removed from the privacy *. How can I remove the * address email is removed from the privacy * email account and get my computer to recognize the new Windows Live id?
Hi Julie,.
Given that you can access your previous account because it is no longer valid, information for Windows Live Family Safety also will be missing. What remains on your computer is only the connection of your previous configuration information.
Uninstall your Windows Live Family Safety will delete the information on your computer, and put it back, yet once will allow you to add a new account to Windows Live Family Safety parent.
Thank you
B. Litton

Hi, I hope you can help with this problem. A friend has 6 computers networked to a Tower Server and have a problem. A worker student put computers into hibernation, and since then, nobody can connect to the network on this computer. The error indicates, "the trust relationship between this device and the network is no longer valid. I tried to get into the pc to try removing network and replace it, but I can't get on the Administrators account because it has been disabled. I'm at a loss on how to proceed. My friend cannot afford a service call, so I'll try to help him. Thank you
If the computer is on a domain then there are at least two accounts that can be used to remove the computer from the domain:
- A domain administrator account.
- A local administrator account.
When your friend has launched Windows for the first time after buying the machine, he was prompted to enter the name of an account. This account is created automatically with administrator privileges. He should use it now.

Path is no longer valid, but search find real files.
I have several thousand mp3 registered only user account (we tell new user). The "New user" account has been deleted, and so all the files 'New user' had saved were lost. When logged in as an administrator on the computer, the search will find all mp3, with the path of c: new user/music/music folder. However, when I click on the file, it says that the network path is no longer valid... OBVIOUSLY! So I know that the files exist, I just need help, restoration as giving them a path name valid. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE! Thank you!
It is on Vista.C:\New user/music/music maybe isn't a valid folder - it may be a virtual folder or the junction point and thus the files that you see can not really be there. The REAL files may have been deleted. We'll cover that later.
Even if you are logged on as administrator, it could still be a permissions problem (I realize that is in contradiction with what you know without doubt about administrator rights, but I've seen it happen). Sometimes when you install a program, even if an administrator, you must right click on the executable file, and then click Run as administrator so that it can work (not related to this issue, but try to make the point that being logged as administrator sometimes is not enough). Some files are not accessible even as an admministrator without additional modifications (especially with Vista). Not only you must reset the permissions but also recommend resetting the property (I know all say you that you already own, but the user has been deleted so that no one really has the files- but back to your new user name of the account just to be sure). And make sure that all the user is not set on deny access (which replaces all other permissions) - although I doubt that this is the case or you would not be able to access through either search (which may be the problem because this seems to be the case as well).
Where to find the files (full path)? They should have been if they had moved in the folder of the profile so it is unclear why this happened or what permissions they carry are now (they could carry the permissions of file system blocking same adminisrators). I would try to move them if the system allows you to do this (or after you have changed the permissions/ownership if it isn't). Find one of them then go to the parent folder (or the top folder, if there are several layers) and right click to get properties and click Security to check things and change them if necessary. Here is some good information on permissions and ownership that can help you solve the problem.
To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab. Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users). Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions. You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).) Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/. To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.
To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights and the property (you as a standard user or you as an administrator - since you have trouble, I use the administrator account AND add the standard account of right and give ownership of the administrator). Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab. Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK. Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions. You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner). You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.) Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html. To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

We can treat the lost files (even if you can see what you can see and try to restore those that have been deleted - although it's been a while and whenever you use your hard drive, you decrease the chances that it will work) and try to get back them.
If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky. They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.
If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/. Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.
In case this does not work (not all files are available through shadow - it occurs periodically), here are some additional free recovery programs that might help (try Recuva):
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/DiskDigger.html
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/easusdfr.html
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/restoration.html

http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva
http://www.munsoft.com/EasyDriveDataRecovery/
http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/
The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods). If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover. He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC. Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC. If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).
Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above). Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery. It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees. The decision is yours.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

I had two apple ID, but only now have access to one of the e-mails. When I try to login, it differs on the account that I no longer have access to. How can I change my information to my * account?
< email published by host >
As you know that these are user forums, it is not a good idea to post your e-mail address on a public forum - I asked the host to remove it.
What "information" do you want to go? You can transfer iTunes downloads to another account, or to merge accounts - all downloads are permanently associated with the account that has downloaded (if only this account can potentially re-download purchases, downloads of updates of its applications, authorize such purchases on iTunes from the computer, and make in-app purchases in them).

How can I allow songs that were purchased with the old apple ID that are no longer valid
I have a lot of music on iTunes, which was bought with old apple ID that are no longer valid. The music was allowed to play on my current computer until I recently updated the software. I am now struggling to re - authorize this music on my machine as the old apple id/email is no longer valid. All solutions?
Use the iTunes menu' to go to the store > authorize this computer.
Enter the old Apple ID and password.
Repeat for each Apple ID that you want to allow on this computer.
Allows up to five computers by Apple ID.
You say that the old Apple ID are no longer valid. If set to true, you no longer have everything that was purchased using these identifiers.

When I download www.BBC.co.ukto TV programs play offline Media player will not let me play with the following error message
"Your media usage rights were corrupted or are no longer valid. This can happen if you have hardware components in your computer.Indeed, I've replaced my CPU with an i7 Ivy bridge. But no where I can find how to fix these media rights.
Thanks for help
You must also have no hidden system files to find the correct DRM folder that I seem to have two! I've renamed the new one who showed and delete the other empties. This multimedia player reload the DRM folder with rights new media helped then and now can play the downloaded movies.
