  • IdeaPad Z570 - can he support a SATA III SSD?

I'm looking for by replacing the slow 5400 RPM HARD drive in my laptop Z570, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it can support a SATA III SSD?

    jhollender,

Z570 is only Sata II. So if you were to get a SSD SATA III, you only use it to speed SATA II and not to speed SATA III.

Please look around and see if there is no reviews with users using a Z570 with SSD because there have been compatibility issues concerning different SSDS due to the type of controller used.

    Thank you.

  • Does the Acer Aspire 4530 TV output support?

My father has an old Acer Aspire 4530. I am trying to determine if it has tv out capability so we can connect to its new TV with a cable composite VGA adapter. It has a VGA port, and it's really...

I think that its come to Aspire with Vista (not sure if it's 32 or 64 b, but its Athlon X 2 64 would have supported either). It has downgraded to XP.

As far as I've been able to determine, the 4530 has a NVIDIA GeForce 9100 M G. But I was not able to determine if this GPU supports tv-out. You can provide any help would be appreciated. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places...

Welcome aboard, the syntax. I was able to find two versions of the Aspire 4530 comments and neither mentioned one TV. A detailed review listed as optical capabilities with a webcam and the ability to support its own monitor and an external display simultaneously.

After this review, I don't think that it can withstand a TV.

  • Acer Aspire EasyStore H341 SAAS McAfee not supported

Hello I have an Acer Aspire EasyStore H341 with Windows Home Server build 5.2.3790 software version 1.50 (0953.005).

I used it without fail until this week where it is said that McAfee SAAS is not taken in charge on this server more (beginning June 2, 2013).  I used only as a server, and only if the remote and same login only briefly played with layout add-ins.

There is a new virus for this product scan?  Y at - it an update this server has not downloaded may remove the McAfee virus scan in his place or I can put any virus scanner (for example, I have a copy of Norton 360 with a left on pc, sure I could add.

I'm fine with most of the Mircosoft, yes even Windows 8 version (ugg, takes a little getting used to, but ok now) but very limited in the WHS region.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

I think that the information you may be looking for is displayed on the McAfee page on support for Windows Home Server.

    https://KC.McAfee.com/corporate/index?page=content&ID=KB61113

Windows Home Server is limited regarding the protection against viruses, software does not install as it would on a normal PC.

Unfortunately, I believe that you will encounter the same problem with any "major" all end-of-life virus programs, like Windows Home Server has been eliminated from the production. (see the Microsoft Support policy page: http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-us&p1=12624&x=10&y=10 )

  • Acer Aspire R7-571 and Pen support?

Hello, I recently bought an Acer Aspire R7-571 and I wonder if it supports any kind of pen or stylus for the touch screen? I ask this because if that's the case I intend to buy one, but if it isn't... Well, I don't want to waste money and prefer not to buy one only to find out that it doesn't work.

Also what leads me to believe that it may in fact take supported a pen/stylus, is to do for the parameters in under hardware and sound control panel, where it says Pen and Touch. So yes maybe a stupid question, but I figure it does not hurt to ask.

    Thank you for your time

You can use the same pens and stylii with your Acer R7-571 as with most Android devices or iPhone/iPad: capacitive standard pens. I use with my R7-571. In General, how to identify the price will be: they should all be less than $20! (In fact, $ 2 mine!)

R7-572 has an active digitizer under the screen, and so should be an active stylus/pen for her. They start usually from $30.

More information here. But not much more!

    PC3 10600 or 1333 mhz

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________

I just installed a 2 GB DDR3 PC10600 - 1333 mhz memory, a SSD (Kingston V300 120 GB SATA III, working speed SATA II system) and Windows 10. Even with no UEFI support, basic 15 sec task machine boots are really fast. Video or live streaming, there could be some lag but is a normal cause its low vintegrated GMA video.

But some improve I can try now. I installed version of Windows is 64-bit. We know that 64 bit systems need at least 4 GB to run fluenty. So I'll install male and 32-bit W10 system more stable but that the CPU bottleneck.

  • Acer Aspire 5750 G hard Driver Error 0x00000e9

Hell everyone! There are a few days accidentally I drop my laptop and after that he start to becomes extremely slow... I tried everything, but a few hours later, I had no access to the window and the message 0x00000e9, again and again! I open bios just to have a look and HARD drive disappeared...

I contact Acer and told them my problem... After that, I asked what HDD should I expect because I'm not interest in obtaining the same like the old!
I would like to buy a better one (more RPM. Capacity and Sata 3 ofc) but they told me that I should buy the same thing! :-/

Can someone tell me what I need to do? For sure the former were not :-(

My laptop is Acer Aspire 5750 G i7 and the hard driver was Toshiba MK7559GSXP 750 G Sata 2 and Code KH.75004.001

I would like to know if mobo can support Sata 3
If I buy a new HARD drive different from what Acer suggest me to or it will be a bad deal for me and my laptop cannot support the new hardware?

You may have dropped the HARD drive or memory loose when you dropped it. I open the doors on the bottom and check them. I hope it will be as simple as that.

  • Acer Aspire V15 Nitro replace SSD HARD drive

I bought this laptop in March 2015. This laptop comes with 1 TB of HDD.

I wanted to replace the HDD SSD but I called the service center (Service of Highpoint), Acer technician told me that there is no way to replace with SSD because the port is different, any SSD can also compatible with this laptop HARD drive port.

This make me very confuse because I search in google, replace with SSD is quite possible.

So I'm here to ask for advice. Hope can get a response. Thank you.

    Published:

My laptop model: Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition (VN7 - 591 G)

    -Core i7 4710Q

    -12 GB OF DDR3 RAM

    -HARD DRIVE 1 TB

    -NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M

you have 2 options on your laptop:

    (1) switch for one SSD 1 TB HARD drive

    (2) add an SSD on form factory M2 on its location (top-left, near the fan), so you can have installed SSD and HDD

the second option, other users have done so, and sometimes they have had some problems during the recording of the SSD as first boot device (or window Boot Manager), since the BIOS tries to boot from SATA port.

You can force it by pressing F12 at startup and select the appropriate boot device.

    It is up to you.

  • I ran Kaspersky rescue disk and susessfully but now cannot get my notebook Acer Aspire at startup

I ran Kaspersky rescue disk and susessfully removed some adware. To get my laptop Acer Aspire to boot from the cd of Kaspersky, I had to change to start prioroty in Windows 8. Afer running the Kaspersky disk, I rebooted and found my laptop wouldn't start up (not found) Windows - and it will be to only boot from the cd/dvd ROM. It has been a week and I can't use boot for Windows. What I see when I start my laptop is: "Realtek PCIe GBE Family PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE - M0F: exit ROM PXE.» No boot device", it will start when I insert"Ultimate Boot CD ". Can I use the Ultimate Boot CD to restore the boot order or point my laptop Windows 8? Thank you!

Starting the BIOS by pressing F2, check if your HARD drive is still listed on the Sata ports.

If in the list, go to the EXIT and choose "load the default values and save on exit, and then tries to boot from the HARD drive again.
