  The service manual for the E5 - 575 G doesn't seem to be available. Crucial says you have 2 banks of 1 which would take 2 16 GB DIMMS.

  I said there is only one, SATAII interface for disk storage. I find it strange because SATAII is pretty old pretty modern system interface and all SSDS and HARD drives are now SATAIII.

  The Aspire E5-575-54E8 requires a complete disassembly to upgrade the ram or just the removal of the front panel? I looked on youtube but can't find this particular model.

  I answered my own question. With the help (I am disabled so...) we found that this model does not require the removal of three screws and then pop off a crosshatch of average size. The ram and hard drive are fully accessible.

  Now, time to buy more ram.

  Recently, the Acer Aspire E 15 E5 - 575 G-53VG (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-NVIDIA-Windows-E5-575G-53VG/dp/B01DT4A2R4) has been on sale on Amazon. There must be a variant of i7 (with all the same features in addition to the chip Skylake) and the product page says it will be available may 15. It is the 24th and I cannot find any mention of the variant of i7 anywhere. I looked on the acer product page and I found the i5 model but I can't find anything for the variant of i7. If anyone knows any news of its release, please turn a response.

  I wouldn't be the first time Amazon listed a laptop that is not available in the United States research model number reveals Sunnex and some foreign links.

  Probably the only way to know for sure is to pre-order.

  1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

  2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.

  I have an Acer Aspire VN7 - 591 G-70RT that came with a Western Digital blue 5400 RPM HARD drive which is limitation of my performance of laptops. I contacted Acer recently to ask for upgrades that might be made and they confirmed that I could build an SSD 256 GB and up to 16 GB of ram.

  I bought an SSD now and install, but I wanted to ask how I could continue on the definition of the SSD as my main drive.

  At this point, I guess I could install the SSD, then select it as primary boot device in the BIOS by pressing F2, and then install windows 10 via my USB. If this should be good to reboot or the existence of windows on my current HARD drive causes a conflict?

  I have the device works now and here's what I did.

  WEAR AN ANTI STATIC BAND:

  Step 1) remove all the screws on the underside of the laptop

  Step 2) use spudger or credit GENTLY lift a gap between the keyboard and the base, then use the credit card to slide slowly into the space to jump open clips, NOT FORCE.

  Step 3) (OPTIONAL) remove the keyboard connectors by moving clip and gently remove the cable from the Jack. However the HARD drive slipped in for me without necessary to detach.

  Step 4) unplug original WD HDD blue reversing the clip and disconnect the cable

  Step 5) close laptop together and boot with Windows 10 USB install

  Step 6) install windows on new SSD (for me windows automatically activated via the BIOS/UEFI) if it doesn't happen for you, simply re-attatch the original HARD disk.

  Step 7) if the activation is successful, again set HARD drive and original format. I have kept all the original ACER RECOVERY and Partitions (Healthy) in case I need to restore factory default, but formatted primary partition.

  If you have Pentium SU2700, you can't because it is welded at the Mo. How is the CPU slows down the PC, it is pemanently on the use of 100%?

  An update, I would do it would recomand a SSD.

  This is a rather confusing questions and about * me off no end!  I know that some of you may have encountered this already and could have a potential solution?

  I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one, AZ5101 (Aspire Z5101), with 4 GB of RAM, etc..

  Since the Developer Preview of Windows 8 came out, I've been running Windows 8 perfectly.  I completely uninstalled (each time itself) and run the following:

  Windows 8 Developer Preview, 64-bit

  Windows 8 Preview of consumer, 64-bit

  Windows 8 Preview, 64-bit version

  In any case, on this PC worked perfectly - y INCLUSIVE of the TOUCH SCREEN.  I never had a problem.

  So far so good.  Then, they finally released updates Windows 8 Pro official licensed by download.  I bought the upgrade and downloaded.  Just like in * ALL * other cases, upgrade, I chose "keep nothing" of the old system (I never really got all the important data on here), and do the upgrade itself.

  After the upgrade was complete, and ALL Windows 8 Pro updates have been applied by Windows update, I have a system where the screen is clear and precise, everything works, and all devices in Device Manager, show the Greens well, it works fine - NO ERRORS.  HOWEVER - NO CONTACT!  No touch no screen function at all.  The screen now has this time as a standard monitor.

  I tried the driver Idéacom - no luck.  Anyone know (please? LOL) how to get the touch screen to work again?  Thank you very much!  I really appreciate any help you can give.  Microsoft technical support had NO idea and no reply emails from Acer! Laughing out loud

  I think that you can upgrade to i5-4690 but I doubt the difference will be noticeable, you have to compare the two and decide if it is worth the price. HTH.

  You can upgrade to 8.1 windows, don't worry too much about secure boot, it's just a Windows 8.1 security feature and it will not harm your pc.
