  ACer, when are you going to release the jelly bean update for the Australia, it was published in other markets before Christmas. It is now March and does still no update!

  I've now updated to Jelly Bean. Forthose who cannot get their a510 updated here is why. You must first upgrade to the last image in the ICS. The version of the image that I was on has been Acer_AV041_A510_RV10RC03_AAP_AU. * How to check the version of the Image of your A510? Path: [parameters]--> [about Tablet]--> [version of the Image] If you have the same image as above then you haave upgrade.

  Go to the acer support page http://www.acer.com.au/ac/en/AU/content/drivers

  Select your Tablet model

  Then select the OS tab towards the bottom of the page.

  Download the Acer.AV041.A510.RV28RC08.AAP.AU. This will download a zip file. In the zip file will be 2 files one will be instructions on how to upgrade.

  Once you have upgraded to the last frame of the ICS and the Tablet has restarted after a little while you will receive a message in the lower left area of notification that a uprade system is available. This upgrade is Jelly Bean.

  Hope this helps someone who was also oost I was aboutnot get the upgrade.

  As the title says, I have an Acer Tablet, a w700. I upgraded to 8.1 and basically became unnecessary.  I had to go out and buy a dvd drive to reinstall windows. It runs great now, but I have a few questions.

  1. everyone I spoke with said not to upgrade with this tablet and leave with 8.0. This can be done? I will be able to update? This will cause other problems?

  You must apply the updates of Windows 8 applicable before moving on to 8.1. However if it
  known issues and then the upgrade to 8.1 is not always possible; as BIOS, chipset or main engines

  conflicts.

  Hello. I have an Acer Iconia 500 which is about 4 years old. I bought it when my laptop was stolen but unfortunately hardly used and only recently rediscovered it. Despite several attempts by a relative of technophiles and advice from a very helpful Lady in the Acer customer support I couldn't update the device. I tried to use the instructions provided by the customer to 'restore factory settings' but still without success. I'd like to be able to something with it, but for now it's just too much room. For any help or suggestion would be appreciated thanks.

  Billsey thanks for your comments. I don't know why, it's now different, but now I went into settings and restored to "factory setting" from there. Now all works well.

  You cannot order this disk from Toshiba.
  You can order just a recovery disk. But if you laptop came with Vista, then the recovery disk contains the Vista OS and not Win 7.

  If you want to use Win 7, you can buy this OS and then you could install it on the laptop. Win 7 drivers should be available on the European driver page

  Bought an acer Iconia tab 7 (A1-713) a little over a month. Now battery is suddenly dump / reload too quickly. Has implemented to update the KitKat for a long time, so don't think this is the issue, but now the battery dies even if its display of 75% with a few minutes of reading simple docs in offline mode.   I'm afraid it sounds like a hardware failure with the battery. Contact Acer support and they will repair it for you.

  Discovered that there is a single machine 32-bit EFI. Managed to adapt the Ubuntu image to have a 32-bit efi loader and managed to start the USB key. Always difficult to install but at least I'm in.
