Acer Iconia W3 - Internet Explorer Favorites bar

How do you turn on the Favorites bar in Internet Explorer on the new Acer Iconia W3, 8-inch tablet?

Thank you

Monica Cooke

EI in desktop can activate by right-clicking (touch and hold the button until you see a square) in the blue box at the top and select what you want to display.

Or are you talking about the version of brane-ded of tiles which has the address bar on the bottom? Better to just go to the one on the desktop, it's pretty boring.

    You can usually find the Favorites IE imported into a folder ("Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the file Menu bookmarks or Favorites bar folder (bookmarks > show all bookmarks).

    There is a work around:

    Export your IE Favorites to an HTML file, and then import it into Firefox. If you have questions more do not hesitate to ask.

  • How can I get Firefox to import ALL my Internet Explorer Favorites?

    I recently installed Firefox on my Windows XP Home edition, to replace IE. During installation, Firefox automatically put a dialog box offering to import all my favorites (Favorites, that is) of IE, and I agreed. The resulting page has confirmed that my favorites had been imported. However, looking at the list of bookmarks 'Imported EI', I saw that the main headings of favorite had been imported in alphabetical order - which is fine - but the import stopped at the letter S. This means that some important main favorite sections (e.g.: 'journey') had not been imported.

    Then, I went to your pages of tutorial and followed the instructions for "Personal import" of other browsers, simply asking some bookmarks to import of IE. What happened that was once more, imported only FF titles favorite until s. initial (and now, in addition, all those imported were copies of those already imported to the implementation). Could you tell me, please, what should I do to get the complete list of imported IE Favorites?

    Thank you very much.

    1. Remove duplicate in the Library bookmarks (press Ctrl + Shift + B to open it).
    2. In Internet Explorer, export your Favorites to HTML.
    3. In Firefox, import bookmarks into the HTML file.

    I followed the instructions in the help file and tried downloading three times with the same result.

    This way also preserve you a sort that you did with the Favorites in Internet Explorer and the Favorites don't end up in a folder "from Internet Explorer", but will be added at the end of the file Menu bookmarks.

    When I need to download the latest control Flashplayer or Active-x, the INFORMATION Internet Explorer BAR is missing.  Therefore, I'm unable to download these updates.  I searched MS knowledge base, tried to Fix It, etc. (microsoft.com) for a solution to this problem.  It occurred when I use IE7 and continues with IE8.

    I am running windows xp, service pack 3

    I tried to use Windows Update.  This requires an ActiveX.  Also, I don't have the InfoBar of IE8.

    Now, I had previously disabled all add-ons in IE8.  To reactivate, IE8-> Tools menu-> manage add-ons-> (must wait to allow add-ons to be cataloged)-> select all the Add-ons listed-> click Activate all add-ons.

    After that, Windows Update works normally.  I have not really checked for the information bar, because I will first need to run through the need for it, but my problem is now solved.

    Hope this helps others with same or similar difficulties.

  • Spry is lining up in Internet Explorer menu bars

    Here's the site I'm working on:

    http://www.bridgestreetdesign.NET/GFA/index.html

    currently the text in the menu spry is framed on the left, but when its value is justified to the right, (as well as the customer wants) a problem in IE6. the menus appear in the next column to the right (i.e., the categories under the WORDS that appear in the SOFTWARE, etc. it seems fine in FF and safari.

    anyone has any ideas on this subject? I guess I can convince the client to live with a text justified left, but they really justified to the right.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Make sure to set the alignment of the text in the style of link in the
    Sections.

    Like this:

    UL. MenuBarHorizontal a
    {
    text-align: right;
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    background-color: #666666;
    Padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    do-size: 100%;
    }

    If you set the alignment in the LI style, IE6 will not only align the text
    right, but it will also align the right nested UL.
    These nested UL is the drop down menus.
    That's why they will come down with their left, aligned to the right edge
    edge of the "main button".

    Whatever you do, do not highlight the text, then use small text align
    icons in the Properties window.
    This will wrap up the submenus in a div with Align Center and really kidding
    the menu in Internet Explorer.

    Take care
    Tim

  • How to get populated on an import from the internet explore bookmarks bar

    I just installed FireFox to replace iE 8 on a Windows XP computer. Then, I imported my bookmarks from IE 8. After importing, there was a whole bunch of little used (not used very often) bookmark in the toolbar. Why they are there and how is it that they are there? If I remove them on the Tools toolbar what I lose it permanently or is it still a bookmark in the list box dropdown bookmarks?

    How I can pin the bookmarks to the left of the screen like IE 8?

    Kind regards

    John Eccles

    See this support article:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/sort-bookmarks-quickly-find-ones-you-want#w_rearranging-manually

    Rearrange the bookmarks that you want in the bookmarks toolbar by moving these bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar folder.

  • Click tasks on the Web page of my bar, it opens the top 1/3 of the screen. Windows & Internet Explorer

    I then have to click on optimize for the full screen.  Settings correct?

    The difference between links and Favorites in the taskbar

    'Links' in the toolbar indicate that you clicked on the taskbar then choose toolbars selected tools and links.  The structure of toolbar, that which adds to the task bar is in fact of 'Favorites' - a subfolder of Internet Explorer Favorites.  You may also choose to display the bookmarks at the top of your window bar of: alt, v, toolbars, Favorites bar [and the importance of the bookmarks bar is the ability to display in this way - I do that and have found it very useful because it allows me to make favorite folders subfolders each appear as a small menu in the Favorites bar].  You can see it clearly if you have a nose autour C:\Users\yourusername\Favorites using Windows Explorer.

    When you drag something to the links, then drag it to the part of the favorite folder structure the confirmation dialog, you see so makes sense.

    The main question

    You have open IE, and then that you double-click an internet shortcut & it opens to the size of the window of IE?  Yes, it's what I expected, so I think that I do not understand what you wrote.
