  Good day to all, I had to replace a PC for one of my colleagues, his old PC had a copy of licenses of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional is installed. His machine was and had to be replaced. The problem is, we want it to continue to be able to use Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional 8, but we also want to be able to pass the license key. Is it possible to do? If so, how?

  No, full serial number is not available on the machine itself (or well anyone with access to it could fly).

  I bought and installed Acrobat 8 Professional a few years ago and he always answers all my meager needs so have not upgraded to a later version.

  However, since installing Windows 10, whenever I re - start my computer adobe returns a message that it cannot access the internet (to re-register?)  even if the internet complete is available and currently in use with other programs.  Windows also returns a message each re-start, it is re-setup of Acrobat.

  Any advice, please?

  Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10. It may or may not work properly.

  It is also an old version and not supported.

  Try once the steps of troubleshooting provided in this KB doc: Advanced solutions to errors in connection with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications. Check if this may help.

  I apologise for the inconvenience, Adobe Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10.

  It is also an old version and not supported.

  Acrobat 8 Professional does not work when trying to open .pdf documents. Repair instructions does not work. I use OS X El Captain on my mac. However, if I click on the tab to cancel the program request to make changes to the my computer and when I give permission to the program corrections and to open documents (also the work of program OK after the corrections are installed). However, when the computer is turned off, the corrections are not preserved and I have the same problems whenever I start. How can I get a download to make permanent fixes?

  Post edited by: Alvin Strickland - Acrobat 8 Pro initiates changes automatically once I give permission for changes to the computer and does so in a few seconds, the document opens.

• How to re - activate Acrobat 8 Professional?

  My Windows 8.1 had a hard crashed, so I had to reinstall all my old software once I updated Windows 8 on my laptop (sorry that I don't trust Windows 10 again).  I reinstalled the Acrobat 8 Professional, but I can't activates the product again.  I think that it forces me to turn off my old copy before active the new facility, but it's a hardware failure, so I don't have the ability to disable the old one.

  I can access my Adobe account and see the product, but it does not just allow me re - activate.  How to re-enable it?

  Hmm, the problem solved:

  I found the solution to install AdobePDF.dll from Acrobat 8 CD (the file is in a different folder), and then I ran the program, click 'Help', then 'Activation', and 'Activate' and 'Disable' have been disabled.  Just typing the answer, I noticed "turn it off" is now enabled (i.e. it has been activated).

  I guess it's no longer a problem.  Thank you for having responded to my original post.

  It is indeed very old, so old that never knew for the most current Adobe staff is no longer activated, cannot be installed on current Mac systems and will not work on Windows systems.   Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, so it's difficult to judge how the application on an incompatible environment will behave.

  Please attach a screenshot so that we can diagnose the problem correctly.

  Make sure that your Acrobat 9 is updated to 9.5.5 & using it in a compatible environment Adobe Acrobat required configuration.
