Acrobat 9 Pro - El Capitan

Can't get (Pro to open and run after re-installed on Mac Book Pro (after an unsuccessful attempt to update software to Sierra...)

Any good suggestions?

First thing, it's that you have posted in the forum for the FREE player, so all you need to do is get the last free version

Reader downloads https://get.adobe.com/reader

Second is that the old programmes require an old operating system, so your version 9 is not really compatible with a new Mac operating system

I reinstall the CS4 Master Collection after failure of the card logical and all work EXCEPT Acrobat 9 Pro. I'm under El Capitan on a Macbook Pro. Thanks for the explanation. I actually have to install Acrobat and it now works. I downloaded and installed Adobe Reader XI (I think, http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/11.x/11.0.02/en_US/AdbeRdr11002_en_US.dmg ) and opened the program. I noticed that after I opened the new drive, my Adobe Reader 9 program began to work. After that, I tried to open Acrobat and instead of getting the error 6 message that I had before, I had an error on a question of license that would require me to uninstall and reinstall the software. Once I did these steps my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro started working! Don't know why my program, but it is fully functional again. I hope it helps someone else, I have why I came to answer.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - work is not on the platform of El Capitan OSX...

    Hello

I just bought a new mac running on OS X El Capitan and noticed that some of my Adobe products have problems or do not properly transfer to this operating system platform. I use "Adobe CS5 Premium" and "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" and met the next 2 questions so far:

1 adobe Illustrator CS5 crashes whenever I use the eyedropper tool. Any suggestions on how to fix this? You do not yet know what other questions, I will meet you as I still test all the software included in the CS5 Premium package.

    2. in addition, when I bought the ' Adobe CS5 Premium ' package for use with Web/Design, it included "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro", for which I also have the serial number of the product (shown as recorded in my account Adobe). I downloaded from the Adobe downloads at the following site: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html and it won't open at all (I realize this is an older version). Any suggestions on fixing this or provide me a link to a level which would work in tandem with the CS5 on El Capitan OS X platform?

Thanks in advance to anyone who cares enough to provide useful solutions to the above.

  • Cannot open acrobat 9 pro after upgrade mac and change of hard disk

I worked with the Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat Prop 9 years without any problem. Recently, I had to put my mac OS to El Capitan and replace the hard drive. Even though I reinstalled all data and programs of a time machine back up the new disk, since this happened my pro reader adobe acrobat does not open. It freezes. I don't know it is a compatibility issue with El Capitan or a problem created from the new hard drive, but I would appreciate anyone help and advice on how to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

There is not acrobat reader pro.  There is acrobat pro (costs money and you have a serial number) and adobe reader (free and no series number).

assuming that you have acrobat pro, uninstall everything which is currently installed by using the adobe uninstaller program.

then install properly using your serial number and the installation file.  also, you need allow unidentified publishers:

  • My CS4 product license key will not work with Acrobat 9 Pro

Last month, I have updated my OS from Mavericks to El Capitan.  CS4 was working fine until the Illustrator would launch with menus grey and simply spend time.

Acrobat 9 Pro was working fine until I tried to reinstall illustrator of my installation and then DVD two once again Adobe download: Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 products.  Then everything happened on the side!

I reinstalled three times now and am stuck with an error message when I try to launch Acrobat Pro: you have entered the serial number is not valid.  Click OK to try again to enter the serial number.

I was in a chat session with Adobe support.  They told me that my license of the CS4 product key was not valid with Acrobat Pro.  Really?  How I use Acrobat Pro since my purchase of CS4?   They told me this forum to access assistance with my problem.

    Help?

a separate serial number was probably issued for your acrobat.

If you purchased or registered with adobe, check your account using the same adobe used years ago, id when you purchased/registered, Adobe ID

  • Acrobat 9 Pro reinstall question (OSX 10.11.2)

    Hello

A few years ago, I bought a Suite CS5 (Mac), which includes Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. It worked fine until I recently did a new install of OS X El Capitan. The problem looks exactly like this post: Acrobat Pro 9 reinstall question (OSX 10.10.3)

Unfortunately, Adobe has not given an answer on how to resolve this issue, that's why I'm reposting this again (as it is the only way to get in touch). I do not understand that the product is old enough, but in any case, I should be able to use it – I'm not updates, bugfixes etc. Other applications such as Photoshop CS5 work correctly. Why not Acrobat?

Any useful for this response is very much appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Hi sebastiank99663506,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Mac OS 10.5 above, please make sure that you use the application on a platform compatible Adobe Acrobat required configuration.

In an incompatible environment request may or may not work.

  • How can I open reinstalled CS4 Acrobat 9 Pro on my mac

From an old to a new macbook I transferred files/programs to aid migration assistant. None of the CS4 Design Premium programs would begin on the new mac. I realized my mistake do not uninstall Adobe products on old mac beforehand and who grew up on the new mac using Adobe uninstaller. I reinstalled all programs of cs4 on new mac original discs and all programs have worked perfectly except Acrobat Pro, which has not installed. I downloaded another program for uninstalling adobe to remove all traces of acrobat by another announcement but still unable to reinstall acrobat 9 pro of original discs. Installation hung up "audit system".

Downloaded from adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and installed according to the instructions. Icons of programs seem to be all there in the finder, but I can't have a program to open using the file > open or by double-clicking the pdf files, I created previously with InDesign. Opinion on various help forums, there are many who seem to have similar problems, but it doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. Is the solution to buy the last stand-alone version of Acrobat or is it possible to reinstall the product I already paid?

I'm the administrator of this mac.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro new Mac - will not fully launch/load

I have a new MacBook Pro with OS El Capitan.

With the help of DVD / original serial number that I loaded the CS5 Design Suite without problem. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, everything works without any problem.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, however, simply refuses to install. I used the DVD and I downloaded it from Adobe's Web site. The result is the same - it acts like it will open, but only "Acrobat" shows up. If I click on it nothing happens.

I contacted customer support and they told me that this version is no longer supported by them; They recommended that I try the forum.

There must be a way to force it to work? If this is not the case, what is my option - is there a stand-alone equivalent product or do I need to subscribe to the entire suite, which I prefer to avoid.

I cross my fingers that there is a simple answer.

    Thank you!

OK - SUCCESS, albeit in an unexpected way.

When I open it I asked me if I would like to install some plugins/upgrades/something something. One was a PDF print option and I don't remember the other. This time I unchecked the boxes and WHAMMO - Acrobat opens right. If anyone has this problem there is the solution!

    Thanks for your help, John!

    Hi jusandi,

Because the printer is able to scan from HP and Microsoft paint software then the problem you are having is with the Adobe Acrobat 9 software. My first suggestion would be to uninstall the program and then reinstall it to see if the problem persists. If you still have the same problem, you need to contact Adobe technical support.
