I tried to delete the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe, but without success. the App said CC DC Pro Acrobat is installed, but the uninstall option is grayed out (I thought back to Acrobat Pro XI, but I can't do it yet). We use a local server to send updates of Adobe software, which could be the reason. Ideas accepted with gratitude as to how we can get insight into the output works again!

  I've just upgraded to Adobe PDF X Pro since Acrobat 6 Pro. In Acrobat 6, I could just go to advanced options > overview of the separation and it let me check colors in CMYK mode, it was useful for me to check that blacks were pitch black and no registration. I work in the media newspapers and check always that if ads are using the colors in the ads they provide us.

  Now here's my problem, everytime I open a new pdf clients Ad will preview the output it always shows me the colors in Adobe RGB default. It is very annoying, especially when I need to check a ton of ads by clicking and scrolling to say 'Photoshop 5 CMYK default' just so that I could check the black. Is it possible to have as if it was in Acrobat 6? And just always show me the overview of the default CMYK output?

  Edit: typos.

  OK, after fiddling around I figured it. Edit > preferences > color management > under work spaces change CMYK: PhotoShop 5 CMYK default. Now, all of the PDF files appear as CMYK when I click Exit preview.

  I use Acrobat 9 Standard on a Windows 7 computer.  I get messages that push me to check for upgrades to Acrobat.  I try to upgrade, but I get an error message that says that an upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows service install because the program to be upgraded is may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.  He asks me to check that the program exists on the computer and I have the correct upgrade patch.

  That is right. 9.5.5 is the last update for V9. Acrobat CC is a new product, you must buy or subscribe. V9 is too old for upgrades or support.

  I have 2 10 windows machines... We had 8 and 8.1 with acrobat 8 standard windows facing up and running. its still works fine with windows current 10. My second machine is a windows 10 installed at the factory and it does not install acrobat 8 standard at all. installation just hangs. someone has even similar or ideas. I can't find a download online anywhere and have just my original CD... Thanks in advance,

  I've been away from windows for a while. Now installed my improved version of the web Adobe Acrobat 9, provided the serial number and want to move forward. A screen will appear asking for the serial number than i, based on the upgrade. I think what Adobe Acrobat 6 standard, but I can't find my original serial number for this more. Am I losing the ability to use Adobe Acrobat 9?
