Acrobat DC closes at launch

New installation of Acrobat DC (ADC) by creative cloud (CC) on Windows 10.

At the launch of ADC, he released between 5 and 25 seconds later, with or without a loaded file, if it was launched CC, from the desktop or a PDF file.

No error message is displayed.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and it has the same.

I disconnected CC and connected again, and it has the same.

Any suggestions?

Hi, you see signs of dialogue after leaving Acrobat? If so, please connect to the shown dialog box and license your copy of Acrobat.

If not, remove the contents of the following folders (do not remove records, remove only the contents of these files):

* C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

* C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

After you have removed the content, restart Acrobat. You should now see a sign in the dialogue and signature in the dialog box should solve the problem.

Thanks to both of you for the reply, I have a few fonts on my system, probably too many to be honest.

However, I thought that if I had to remove a lot of fonts at the same time, I would be able to the source of the problem.

Having done this, I managed to pin point the exact police which was the origin of the problem and I can confirm that distill now works perfectly again. I can't thank you enough for your help on this issue.

  • Adobe Acrobat DC do not launch?

Application downloaded for a free trial, download Adobe Acrobat, Close application or launch, when the launch is clicked nothing happens.

    No error message.

    Using Windows Vista.

Downloaded trial of Adobe Acrobat web site.

    I tried your suggestions.

After much trial and error, discovered that adobe Acrobat DC does not support Windows Vista (short answer for later reference).

It is difficult, if not impossible to upgrade Vista to Windows 7 these days.

Solution; buy a new computer with Windows 10.

Thank you for your response. I hope this thread helps someone in the future as planned obsolescence takes.

  • CC of Photoshop closes after launch?

Well, I searched MANY forums for this... (Maybe there is a real answer to work SOMEWHERE, but I was looking for 3 days now and still not found, if there is, please send me a link!)

A lot of people talk about 'crash' of PS, but I noticed that the PS closes actually just after its launch... (Because I opened a photo from lightroom to PS and PS asked me to save or not, so it's not an accident!)

    What I tried:

    -Reinstall several times

-Restart the PC after each uninstall

-Cleaning the registry of errors after each uninstall

-Logging OFF from Creative cloud before running PS (PS just asking you to log in again and keeps the problem)

-Tried the trick of 'ctrl-alt-shift' to remove the settings

-Found a lot of people say to try the script to search for flaws in the police, but I can't PS to continue to operate, so that's a no-go...

I don't want to reinstall my Windows once AGAIN, because of things like this taking me so long, and I wouldn't have to do it with an official Psalm

    Lightroom works perfectly, as expected.

Here is someone who can help me with this? :-(

    Thank you!!

OK, well, I contacted the cat Adobe right now and they gave me the solution that worked for me and that might work for others too, so I'll share it here!

Many thanks to "Alexander" on the Adobe chat! :-)

    -Close all Adobe applications

-Navigate to the following location on your computer: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe

-Right-click on the SLCache folder, and then select Properties.

-Uncheck "read-only (applies only to files in the folder).

    -Click on the Security tab.

-Click on Edit, select a user and give all permissions.

    -Click on apply and Ok.

-Close the Properties window by clicking Ok.

It MIGHT work for you, or it might not... This has worked for me after watching the forums and tried stuff for days then... :-)

  • Acrobat Connect closes

I can start a meeting on my Intel Mac, but if I try to share the screen, the Acrobat Connect Add-in which closes unexpectedly.

Tried a lot of trashing prefs but always of the problems.

Even tried from Safari under Rosetta.

    It did not work.

I would like to buy and use Connect, but not on this occasion.

It seemed to me I found the problem, or at least this fix worked for me.

When I installed the Connect Add-In I did it through Firefox 2.0.0.3. Well, FF seems to say the Adobe download site that my machine is a machine of OS 9 (I'm under 10.4.9 on a MacBook Pro Intel) so that it downloads and installs the version of OS 9 of the Add-In. My difficulty is to trash the directory of Macrodmedia (myuseraccount/Library/preferences/macromedia) preferences and reinstall the add-in using Safari.

As I said, this fix worked for me, so I hope it helps all of you.

    Good luck!

  • Photoshop CS6 closes after launch

I installed Photoshop CS 6 on a new PC and just of opens and closes immediately.

It is part of the E-learning 6.1 and is on a new PC. I don't know if I activated it correctly as if I hold the Help menu Deactivate is grayed out?

I disabled CS 6 on my old PC as when I open it the license screen comes up.

    Yes, nothing has worked.

In any case as Adobe support couldn't help, I decided to buy photoshop CC.

Download it was also an option to update my existing CS6 I did and hey presto it works.

Cost me money to buy something that I didn't, and also set my old Photoshop!

Can send CC returned as being more necessary :-)

    Anyway, all sorted now thanks

I bought Adobe Acrobat X Pro and it worked very well, it was all that I need. I was invited to try the DC version and done but cannot afford the monthly fees to retirement. Since ProX wasn't working I had to subscribe to get a Doc, I need to get out, but it would have been fine with the old ProX if he had continued to work. Everyone knows about this problem? Is Adobe comes forcing me to subscribe? or is there a solution/work around?

  • Windows 10 - MS Word causes Acrobat close

New laptop on Windows 10; i5 / 8G.  Installed Microsoft Office 16 and Acrobat DC.  Acrobat open PDF files correctly.  MS word will open word documents.  Switch to acrobat and pdf is closed.  If I reverse the order to open a doc word and then try to open a pdf file, acrobat "flashes" for a second and then closes.  I tried without downgrading to Office 2007 and Acrobat XI, known exactly the same problems.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi paulw49314826 ,

Could you let us know if you see an error message when Acrobat is closed?

Flashes of Acrobat and closes only when you switch between MS Word and Acrobat?

Have you tried with other applications?

    Try following the steps:

1 reset the preferences file - close Acrobat then navigate to C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0, move the 11.0 folder to another location (for example-temp)

To open the temp folder, hold down the Windows key and press R on your keyboard > This will launch the Run dialog box > temp type and press ENTER.

If App data is not visible above, launch Windows Explorer > click the view tab in the toolbar > then click Options (on the far right), this will launch the Folder Options window > click the view tab > under Advanced settings, search for, and then click Show hidden files, folders, and disks then click OK, then launch Acrobat.

Step 2 - If 1 does not work, remove temporary files, in dialogue box(Windows+R) run, type temp, and then press enter > This will open the temp folder, select all content in the temp folder and delete them, restart the computer, and then launch Acrobat.

    Step 3 - If 2 doesn't work, find and launch Eula.exe, navigate to C:\Program (x 86) | Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat, run Eul.exe and accept the license agreement.

    4. If step 3 does not work, try to activate the admin and then login account admin account and launch Acrobat.

Visit this link on how to enable the built-in Windows administrator account: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/555910

Let us know if the above given steps worked.

    Thank you
