  I don't know if it's possible, but I try to auto exit Acrobat Reader when the last page of the PDF file is reached (after a short delay). That's what I did:

  • On the last page, added a couple of the Page open actions:
    • First action is to execute a JavaScript script with this code to delay of 10 seconds:

  app.fs.timeDelay = 10;

  app.fs.useTimer = true;

  app.fs.usePageTiming = true;

  • Second action is Execute a menu item:

  File-> exit

  Unfortunately the file-> exit action seems to be deleted (I use Acrobat Professional 9 Professional on Windows 7 x 64.

  Is there a way to do this?

  You can close the current file, but you cannot close the application itself by using a script.

  Whenever I open a pdf file in Acrobat Reader, a 'tool' also appears on the right side of my screen. It fills a large part of my screen, and I usually don't need, so I delete with SHIFT + F4.

  What should I do to make sure that this 'tool' never appears when I open Acrobat Reader?

  Open Acrobat Reader DC, navigate to the Edit-> Preferences-> Documents menu-> uncheck "pane open tools for each document.

  Click OK to confirm the changes.

  Reboot your system, now try to reproduce the problem.

  I would recommend you to go home, download Acrobat/Reader cleaning tool using this link: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs.

  After running this tool and uninstall the program completely, download Adobe Reader using this link: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions

  It is insufficient to just buy Acrobat (not Acrobat Reader). You will need to also download, install and then make sure that your files are open in it.

  Would like to inform all of these features are available in Acrobat Pro, & it seems, now, Adobe Reader as your default PDF program.

  Please do a right click any pdf file > info > less opens with select Acrobat Pro DC as the value by default so that you can use all of these features.

  I would like to know how it works.

• How can I permanently disable the tool pane in Acrobat Reader ms?

  I prefer to use this area of the screen to view the document; I don't really use the tools in this pane, but I deselect the component manually everytime I open Acrobat Reader. I would rather enable it only when I need it.

  I can't find a setting to change it and I can't find anything in the FAQ or in a Google search for this version.

  Please, open a document and close the tool on right pane manually.

  Then navigate to the Edit menu > Preferences > Documents and uncheck the option "Open tools for each document page.

  

  Click OK to save the settings and restart the Reader app.

  Acrobat Reader DC (I downloaded the correct version of Windows 10, so this isn't a compatibility issue) runs on Windows 10 on a tablet with touchpad online - I have a mouse or conventional keyboard.

  I'm sorry, but the hand tool to pan on the document is available in the bottom floating toolbar.  There is no way to add it to the toolbar at the top.

  This seems to be the behavior of the design.

  I'll create a new document and save it as a PDF file (save it to the desktop), when I open it again, it opens with Acrobat Reader and the text released along side this one pane. It does not open a document own stand alone. This cause me a problem when I want to send it as an attachment, as it includes this component, as well as all other toolbars with.

  When you send the PDF document as an attachment, it will be sent as a document 'stand alone '. It will be open according to the preferences that are set by the receiving party.

  Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.

  You will need Acrobat Adobe Document Cloud application | Adobe Acrobat DC to remove pages from a PDF file, rotate, move, delete and renumber pages in Adobe Acrobat PDF

  Not possible with the free player application.
