Acrobat student and teacher - classic or continuous?

I'm considering the purchase of the Acrobat DC Student edition (one-time purchase $ 119) and I'm trying to determine which version of Acrobat I would get. Am I right in thinking that the purchase of publishing students is like buying the normal edition $ 449 - i.e., that it is on the path to the update of 'classic' and will not the more recent updates like tabs and the new workflow of digitisation? In this case, Adobe does not offer any kind of discount student for the continuous version, which seems odd to me. Or students somehow editing work on the path of continuous update instead?

Classic for one off purchases, continuous subscriptions. Even for students, I think.

So, if you do not agree, there is no tab, no feature updates, without free updates. Given the speed at which Windows and Mac OS are now changing to make obsolete applications, I think that subscriptions may very well be more the way forward. If I understand the student discount is for one year only and only for the creative cloud together, apps not only.
