I didt create a disk recovery for windows 7 Home premium and I lost the original and the recovery partition, but I have still the product key and the same laptop that was originally installed with windows 7 copy and now im turning my laptop with a fake copy, how to restore the original copy of windows 7?

    Hello

You have certainly reduced your options

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, if they still have them available.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • Need your Help_Reformat diskless resettlement and the recovery partition deleted

    Hello.

Please kindly help me to reformat my laptop G4 2014. Unfortunately I have no recovery disk and my recovery partition is already deleted.

Thanks in advance for the help that you can give her.

Just as I said, the web document, I provided the link for you to give options that are available to you.

You or someone else with access to your laptop made some decisions aware, perhaps unfortunate not to create a recovery media and removal of the recovery partition.

These decisions lead to choices that can be found on the web document that I you provided a link to.  An alternative is to buy a DVD of installation of Microsoft in the operating system of your choice.

  • HP and the recovery Partition tools

    Hello
My hard drive has three partitions; The Windows Partition, Partition "HP Recovery" and the score of "HP Tools". However, I NEED to format entirely (write zeros) on repair of defective sector drive. I believe that you cannot fully format a partition, so recovery ones will be deleted too. I intend to copy the data of two partitions on my memory stick and recreate partitions after. But, if I erase the hard drive, which will affect the BIOS HP options? If so, is it possible to restore any way. Or y at - it an easier way to do this?

Again, during a support request, please provide the model name and product number complete (p/n) of the HP computer in question.

Recovery HP (DVD or USB) media will recreate all the partitions as the day that the computer was made. There is no option to re-create only this partition or only this score... it's a process all or nothing. By using this media returns the computer to a factory State... OS, drivers, software, HP Recovery, HP tools, etc.

  • T61 - unsuccessful attempt to upgrade the HDD using "Acronis True Image - disk clone".

    T61, Win XP Pro,

Problems with the free space on HDD - disk(160GB) factory original is more than 90% full.

There are a lot of existing user settings and the user information on the HARD drive - of the specific settings for different network environments (home network, company network, VPN, etc.), specific applications, a lot of drivers for specific devices, many documents and photos and other information.

So, we need to upgrade the disk, but we do not want to go back to factory state - we want to keep all existing user settings and user information.

The existing drive was dismantled and connected to a standard desktop PC.

And using "Acronis True Image Home" the existing drive has been cloned again drive WD Scorpio Black 320 GB.

There is not any errors during the cloning process.

But when we set up the new drive of the laptop, the OS has not started - black screen with blinking cursor only flashing white dash (top left). So, we put back the old disk, in order to work.

After cloning, we see the new disk is similar, as it is on the old drive. There are two partition - hidden, system partition partition with Windows XP and all user folders and documents. Thus, we believe that the problem is only in part "start".

Everyone can us advice what is the problem.

Or we let another solution how to change the drive, but without going to the factory condition.

    Thank you

  • Qosmio G20 and Acronis True Image

    Hello

I have a G20 with the media library and twin 100 GB hard disks that are configured to act as two separate discs (set up of RAID options when I reinstalled the system). I have programs on a disk (C) and the operating system and my data on the other (D).

On a previous thread I asked to retrieve the C drive only from the recovery disks without wipe data on the D drive, and it seems that this is not possible, to remedy this, I decided to follow the suggested advice and create an image of the C drive for later retrieval if necessary. However, I have had a problem of creating an image or a clone of my system using Acronis True Image disk and wonder if anyone can help. I replaced the D drive with a new disk of 120 GB and uses the old drive in a USB enclosure sata to store the clone or image recovered.

First of all, all devices, readers ext usb, wireless keyboard, cable network & second screen are connected through a hub to a USB docking station, and when I try to clone with this joint, it fails to restart. Undeterred, I took off the hub and the clone for the external drive seems to work very well. However, when I remove the drive from the existing system and replace it with the clone to test, it does not work. The system appears to start but then get the screen where it says windows windows had a problem and I want to start in safe mode, last known working system, or start as usual in any case. If I select it just reboots and gets back to this screen.

Also, I tried to create an image rather than a clone and recover the image on the hot spare. Once again, it seems to go ok but when I put the disc and satrt to the top of the same thing happens.

I don't know if there is anything that you must close before imaging or cloning as the instructions don't say, so don't know if theres nothing running that may affect it. The instructions are pretty basic but seem pretty simple, so I do not see where I am going wrong.

Does anyone have experience of this type of problem and how to fix it.

    Thank you very much

A few months ago I acquired a regular copy of Acronis True image for my G20.

After that many negative attempts to use the program, who do not recognize the disks
I asked for help using Acronis
which solves the problem brilliantly, sending me a special version on purpose
for the difficult features of the Qosmio system.

If you an e-mail to the Acronis media, they probably have in the Archives of the version
    for the Qosmio G20.

  • Backup Windows disabled by Acronis True Image 2011

I discovered that the uninstallation of Acronis True Image 2011 will disable the Windows 7 backup program. The link is displayed on the Control Panel, but clicking on it does nothing. I've read elsewhere that the problem may be that Acronis mess up the registry of Windows, but I don't know how to fix this and hesitate to try. Acronis seems indifferent to the fixing of the problem - their proposed solution is that I just keep using Acronis and forget to backup Windows. I would appreciate the help.

I would also say that this exposes a vulnerability in Windows 7. It should prevent the modification of the behavior of the windows installed programs or at least ask for permission until it is granted.

This does not have the problem, I've identified, which is that the UNINSTALL Acronis True Image Home leaves disabled Windows backup. Fixing the problem requires the user to modify the Windows registry. Changes have now been contributed by a user and Acronis continues to refuse to address the problem. • Acronis True Image 2013 conversion to vmware Workstation

I'm trying to convert an Acronis. TIB archives to a virtual Workstation machine.  I installed vCenter Converter 5.0, but when I tried to start a conversion I get an invalid 'settings' message when I select the. TIB archives.

Any ideas on how to get Acronis True Image 2013 and vmware play nice, because the converter says that he supports the TIB files?

    Thank you!

To answer the second part of your question, you can try creating a new target VM with blank disks big enough to hold the source image, restore the image of the new virtual machine using the provided software Acronis (CD bood?) and then run on the newly created VM converter by selecting the option "Reconfiguration" (if all goes well it will be the result in workstation boot).

  • I could destroy the recovery partition.

A friend ask me to format the laptop (windows 8) to clean the computer against viruses of countless. She also wanted to have windows 7 and I said why not... (I didn't know the mistake). Starting from existing and currently running windows install I deleted the main partition and system partition (without touching the sonysys and the recovery partition) than to see that windows 7 cannot install in this type of disc.

(How the * you format these things with?)

I decided to keep the windows 8 after a repair on the internet saying it was possible to install after an ordreal, but the compatibility with drivers of windows 7 was hopeless.

Then I tried the tools of recovery for vaio, but... BOOM, error. They do not find a single partition/clone. After a check/repair of HARD drive, the application reveals even the option of windows recovery... .only the option of data recovery and HARD drive check demand.

I need to use a windows recovery disk 8 no doubt, but there is not a disk (why retailers give a laptop without the windows disc and pilots by the love of God).

Is there a way I can do a recovery from another PC using data disc I have download here?

Please answer someone who can help the problem is urgent and guaranteed the repair/RMA is not an option.

SVE151J11M seems to be a British model. They have a distinct community, where you can post your request on your VAIO computer.  They will be better placed to solve problems on your computer. Here is the link to the British community.

  • Format HARD drive, delete the recovery partition and recover with disc

    Hello

I have a laptop Satellite C660D-17F and want to format my HDD, remove the recovery partition and recover the preinstalled Windows 7 and other software. I don't want to keep my own data, which are all stored already, I just want to be sure I can safely restore preinstalled stuff. I have a few questions that I need help to clear up before I go ahead.

Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition? If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?

I found [this post | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/71] which explains the recovery process. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that? It will restore the OS and the software for the backup of dvd drive? Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?

    Added SIDENOTE:
I actually prefer to be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I'm after. Or is there a way?

Sorry, I know that was a long post, but I want to be sure of what will happen BEFORE I'll and spoil things! :) If you got this far, thanks for reading. :)

    Hello

I will try to offer help. ;)
    > Am I right in thinking the dvd recovery disc I made when I got to my laptop has all the software and drivers that I need on this subject, the same that would have the recovery partition?
Yes. Saved on recovery discs recovery image contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, specific Toshiba and utility tools and some additional software.
    > If I do another room to spare in now just to be sure only will they have the out-of-box default stuff: OS, software and drivers on any of my data?
Preinstalled Toshiba Recovery creator make recovery disc that includes the recovery image only. It has nothing to do with your personal data.
    > I found this post that explains the process of recovery. If I select "Erase the hard drive" (so I can wipe my hard drive and delete the recovery partition too) what happens after that?
After that, you should use recovery disks created for the recovery image installation.
    > Will the process after that recreate a recovery partition (which I don't)?
When you use the recovery disc for your laptop recovery image installation will have factory settings which include the recovery saved on the HARD disk image. To be honest I do not understand why you do not want to have this recovery image on the HARD drive. This allows the installation of recovery using recovery of HARD drive option. But of course you can delete it later for more free space on your HARD drive. Installation image that you can always use created for recovery discs-recovery DVDs.
    > I'd really rather be able to choose what programs preinstalled settle after that I have format, but I'm guessing that probably isn't possible and will settle for install everything and remove what I don't want after
