  I have a Mac Pro early 2008 Intel Xeon, 16 GB under Snow Leopard and VMWare Fusion 5 installed, as well as a few virtual machines running perfectly. I decided to create a virtual computer that is running Windows Server 2012. The installation went well. However, when I tried to activate the Hyper-V technology I got in trouble.

  In the Virtual Machine settings > system settings > general: I chose "Hyper-V (not supported).

  In the processor and memory, I selected 4 cores, 4 GB and in advanced: enable applications to hypervisor...

  In other/advanced: the virtualization engine preferred: Intel VT - x with EFA

  and all the possible permutations of these selections. Nothing has worked.

  Error messages:

  Hyper-V cannot be installed. The processor has no virtualization required capabilities.

  Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.

  Preferred mode is unavailable. Using VT - x instead. This host does not support EFA.

  All this leads me to believe that my hardware configuration does not support the operation of computers virtual hyper-v in Fusion. According to your philosophy, we can consider this to be a reality: everything is always possible. However, what drives me nuts are guys on internet blogs, everybody saying he's working on their system! I would like to hear an authoritative voice if possible, or not.

  Hi Eric and welcome on VMware communities!

  It is purely a matter of features of the CPU.  None of the processors that apple delivered in Early 2008 Mac Pro systems supports Extended Page Tables (EPT).  According to the list of the Mac Pro systems, the processor that you have will be E5462, E5472 or X 5482, as well as relevant on the (related) Intel Web site pages show no support for EFA everymac.com.

  Without EFA, we cannot virtualize VT - x.  In other words, the guest operating system cannot see and use virtualization assisted by material, although the merger itself will be able to make use of the hardware support of the functions of virtualization host to run the virtual machine: we can use VT - x, but cannot virtualize to make it available to a nested prompt.

  Hyper-V is entirely dependent on the hardware support for virtualization (VT - x for example), then it won't work as a guest nested in your configuration.

  Hi all, our site went live yesterday evening through BC, but now I can't access my e-mail account.  We have 2 accounts mail and for some reason, on my account, the button ACTIVATE the ACCOUNT EMAIL is gray.  I can't access my email through webmail, it says my credentials are incorrect, and I can't set it up via mac mail.  When I created my account, I checked "enable email" and click on record several times before, but then it is not "allow him, and now the checkbox is grayed out."

  I read a lot of discussion and it seems that this has been a problem in the past but no resolution.

  Can someone help please as soon as POSSIBLE?  It is a business and it is very important for me to be able to get the email.

  Hi Sidney, I was online with Adobe Chat yesterday and they had to return to their 'level 2', don't know what it is but they were finally able to solve the problem this morning.  It is a part of the email I received from them, claiming that they need to do:

  It seems that the issue was the fact that you did not have the record of no - www for domain xxxxxx.com. I've since added xxxxxx.com to pass the default hostname, which is www. xxxxxx.com. once recording without www has been added, then it was possible to navigate to Site Settings > email accounts and to see the current users e-mail and add [email protected] as a mail user.

  New iPhone of my husband has the alert tone new message on 'None', but every time he gets an email, the tone of 'Note' dings. It is very annoying because he gets a lot of emails and the phone is constantly hanging. We tried to change the tone, then change back. We tried to close the phone, then restart. Nothing seems to make a difference. Any ideas?

  Have more than one e-mail account on the phone? If so, one of the other accounts can always be on a tone. Go to settings > Notifications > Mail and check.

  What is the brand and model of your computer?

  I recommend you to consult the manual that came with your computer to activate the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) as the BIOS settings vary for each computer & it depends on the manufacturer of the computer. If you are not comfortable to run, you can contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.

  
  Note: change BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  We have a handful of VMware servers, that we would like to get email alerts.

  I got regarding the grouping of these servers in a "service".

  Now, I need to make a few specific rules to receive alerts email for two situations:

  (1) when the virtual computer CPU usage exceeds 80% for more than 30 seconds.

  (2) when the available disk space is less than 20%.

  Can anyone help? Point me to another position?

  Insofar as the e-mail alerts, you can get them directly for all vmware alerts by setting the VMAdmin registry variable, or you can set the e-mail on the service parameters in the function generator

  This is your problem:

  Access-group 101 in external interface

  You link this access list to your external interface. This means that the rules are applied to incoming traffic IN your network. The implicit IP any any rule is because you have not bound to an access list on your inside interface.

  To prevent users from going out, you will need this:

  access list permit tcp host exchange_IP OUTPUT no matter what eq smtp

  access list tcp OUTPUT deny any any eq smtp

  Access-group interface inside OUT

  See how this access list is linked to the inside interface... it will affect traffic leaving your network. Note: Once you apply this inside allow any interface it will remove the implicit.
