  However, the service representative Local HP told me that they cannot ask for Win 7 Installer CD to professional laptops and I must ask HP support directly.

  Could someone in HP give me a hint what to do in this case?

  If I understand correctly, OEM Win key is locked down for my motherboard, and unless I replace, I can't reinstall and activate the OS without any problem.

• Acer Aspire its problems after Win 7 Pro and the new installed HARD drive

  I have an acer aspire 8735 laptop g-6502 which has recently undergone a WD 500 GB drive HARD failure. I replaced that with a 7200 RPM Hitachi 1 TB drive and given that I don't have a Win 7 original used a disk Win 7 Pro with an extra friend.

  Windows 7 Pro and HARD disk installation went smooth. But now when I plug an HDMI cable to watch through my Marantz receiver, comes from the video, but I have to do manually the Marantz the default audio device for sound.   My race of the used laptop win xp pro, I have MOM who bought her company when they all upgraded and got again.  It has never included a Win xp pro disk (it doesn't even have a disk drive, I have to hang it on an external disk drive) but it has the license key (original tag) on the underside.  A few months ago, the hard drive failed and crashed.  I had a friend replace the hard drive.  To get it up and running, that it must connect to a personal computer running win xp pro.  Reloaded all through his computer, I guess that copied to mine?  The problem is now media played just ran an update/upgrade to wmp 11 and now I get a message "validate your copy of windows" and Media Player does not work... When I go to real glass site enter key there is no place to do that, he just wants me to buy Win 7 & that is going to happen, what can I do? Please keep in mind, I'm completely broke and a stupid computer. I need the instructions of baby-talk, clear and explicit. Seriously, 5 years more about these things I do, help Pleeeease LOL!

  We build Win 7 Pro SP1 machines for our customers on a daily basis. Each generation system is exactly the same with respect to the hardware and the OS.

  Once the equipment is mounted, load us Win 7 Pro, install all the drivers, activate the key and then begin the process of 2 days to update the system before we can finish the build & ship to our customers.

  There are usually about 230 + automatic updates who needs every machine according to the update of windows. We have 32 GB of RAM in each machine that we build during the update phase to ensure that there is nothing on our side to help make this process slower. (Our machines are rich in resources and very fast hardware)

  When we launch the update, it will last for 5-8 hours BEFORE it starts the download/update/restart process. There is no possible way that we can maintain our customers in a faster way because of this process 2 horrible day. This process of 2 days is eating my lunch.

  Question:

  Is there anything we can do to simply load the updates on our end - or another possible solution that does not require that us invest in a roll of enterprise quality cost platform?

  Note: Starting tomorrow, we're going to experiment with cloning a fully charged & update Win 7 Pro Solid State HD - which has not yet been activated with the key. Once clone us the master SSHD to an another SSHD, we will then activate the 2nd SSHD with the appropriate Windows button, etc... Our idea is to just clone the master for the builds - then enable each SSHD on the new machine with the windows key is supplied with each machine.

  Any ideas are appreciated - if our experimental is the better solution, please let me know.

  I have recently re - installed win 7 pro on a 32-bit computer laptop dell d610 and after installing some updates it now just says: "check for updates...". "on the windows update screen and the green light just continues to go everywhere for centuries if I leave.

  I've added a certain drivers from the dell website including an update of the BIOS.

  When Windows 7 was installed it has 4 drivers problems / missing in the Device Manager and since the update of dell, there are now 2 problems with

  Mobile Intel (r) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family and the controller of the network if I thought I had added the driver for this.

  I tried to use them, but they make no difference:

  Windows Update problem (new)

  The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

  I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

  NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

  1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
  2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
  3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.
  4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
  5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
  6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
  7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

  They are not rules downgrade "Dell"... they are rules of downgrade from Microsoft, and Yes, Windows 8 Pro (Pro ONLY) qualifies for the downgrade rights.  Activation for downgrade rights is the responsibility of the user, so you can activate it using ANY other license (even if used on a different machine/account without affecting this license)... a Dell installation DVD is eligible.  Normally, a Dell installation DVD requires NO key to enter, and the range of systems that work with a DVD is extensive, but not universal, so if it asks for a product key, you will need to have one of your own to provide.
