Activate Windows 7 OEM

Hi, we use Dell Optiplex PC brand with Windows 7 Professional (OEM) & Windows XP Professional (OEM) version. We already have PCs 1 817 and per month, to buy about 20 new PC. Now, we are facing a great problem in the activation of Windows 7. I describe the scenario briefly for your understanding:

1. Since the beginning of the arrival of Windows 7 Professional (OEM) in our Organization, we used a clean install of Windows 7 Professional (OEM) on a PC. As it is an OEM version, the windows are automatically activated. Then, we used 'Acronis True Image Home' to create an image of that installation and used to deploy the other PC.

2. after a few weeks, we began to face the problem "Windows is not genuine" of some screens PC Windows 7 message "Windows is not genuine".

3. my question is what is the reason for the problem?

4. as our windows is OEM (each pc also has a certificate of authenticity), probably no need to install an Activation of Windows Server locally or activate Windows Online uses Microsoft server activation key. Am I wrong?

5. What are your opinions and suggestions about Windows 7 installation & activation for our Organization?

Please answer me as soon as possible.

The most common cause/remedy for this type of problem is Intel rapid storage drivers.

Certainly, we need to see a MGADiag report among the affected machines.

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.
-* in your own thread *, please

Please also state the Version and edition of Windows cited on your COA sticker (if you a) in the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but does NOT quote the key on the sticker!

If it's the pilots, then force installs of the TSRI drvers on all machines.

My mat...

The problem lies in the integrity of the file.
This may simply be caused by a bad set of drivers of technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology-

  • replace the RAM, the need to activate Windows 7 OEM new will affect Media Center DRM?

    Title says it all.

In order to avoid BSOD that * could * be linked to the RAM, I replace two DIMMs with a different model.  When I swapped the locations for the original DIMMs, I received a message stating that the material had changed and I had to re-activate Windows.  That's happened.
I am now assuming that completely change the RAM will trigger the message "hardware changes took place.  I use this PC as an HTPC with a Ceton InfiniTV 4 tuner card, and I have a lot of copy - once programs and films recording.  I don't want to lose the ability to play them.
My guess is that the reactivation will not affect the DRM.  It does not seem to have done with the recent reactivation. It's not like it's a new motherboard or system disk, but I would be sure.
    Thank you.

    (1) change of RAM only is unlikely to trigger an activation request - although if other materials also has changes in the recent past, he can do.

    (2) activation and DRM are totally different things, and should not affect the other.

  • Windows 7 OEM installation does not work immediately

    Hello

I tried to install Windows 7 x 64 Premium on a new computer, but I still get this error: "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing".

I tried two Windows 7 different DVDs, including a new copy from NewEgg, and two of them have started successfully on the drive, so I really don't see what the problem is? I used two readers different external DVD, but what specific drivers for each drive could Windows even need? DVD players must be sufficiently interchangeable to avoid this problem.

I found this article on the basis of knowledge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2755139, but after using two different DVDs, both manufacturers, none of this applies really, unless they have both missed the combustion.

Means that the probable error, the installation media is corrupt. You can download and create a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, and then try again.

Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:

  • Windows 7 OEM license, cloned the new hard drive.

I'm scratching my head on this one.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro with an OEM license.

Beyond December, my original hard drive started failing so I made a clone of Clonezilla and transferred to a new hard drive.  Since then, I have not been able to run Windows update and I regularly get a Windows is not real popup.  I checked the section properties and my computer Windows Activation of Windows is enabled.  I tried the site of verification but that sends me to a web page that does not seem to load correctly and 9/10 times.  When I managed to load and I downloaded the WindowsActivationUpdate tool, it gives me just a Setup 0xC8000247 error.  I tried returning my SLUI 3 product key and everything went through fine.  I checked various websites and people say that it must be good using a new hard drive, others say you can't and others are calling saying Microsoft and speak to someone.

Can I use my OEM license when transferring to a new hard drive?  Answer, what would be the next step?

Yes, you can use the same OEM license, because it's the same computer.

What you need to do is probably performing a new installation. Clone software tends not to provide the best results.

The old hard drive still works? You might try one last time to create a system image and restore it on the new hard drive:

How to pass Windows 7 to a bigger hard drive - books...

This of course would mean reinstall the old hard drive, create a system image and then restore it on the hard drive.

Another option is to perform a new installation using the OEM key.

Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

Step 2: Perform a custom installation, see Windows 7 section of the following article how to perform a custom installation:

How to: perform a customized Windows installation

  • Can I activate Windows 7 without a phone?

    Hello

I have formatted my laptop, downloaded the same exact copy of Windows (Home premium), entered the key on the sticker, but then it says that I should go ahead by phone. The number of my country doesn't seem to work. The number of countries closest to me is incredibly expensive (I already tried without success to activate even).

Is it possible to activate my Windows without having to make this call?

    Thank you!

If direct Internet activation is not possible, the activation of the phone is your best option.

  • Impossible to activate windows 10, because my windows 7 is OEM

Microsoft is a MONOPOLY.   My computer had a Windows XP pro top, which worked well. I didn't want a new computer.  Therefore, I went out and bought a new hard drive and bought a windows 7 pro. Installed the hard drive and windows 7 (OEM) edition, recorded and PC works fine.

Got the windows 10 free invitation, installed this, went to activate after long wait, I discovered that MS will not be activated, windows 7 because its an OEM.

Do not understand what this Windows 7, which is legal.

I assume that Microsoft wants to just sell earns 10.

When I think about it XP worked fine it of just that Microsoft only supports XP more. They should be carried out in support of XP because it was designed it program.

When was the last time that ANY company support of a product for more than 10 years? MS has supported XP for 14 years, until I've had beyond useful life. He cannot deal with modern equipment and is inherently precarious in the modern world. He was for long an honorable death.

The more common to be denied the activation of Windows 10 reason is because you either enter the wrong key, or you have started upgrading from a startup from the upgrade media, rather than inside the qualifying operating system.

HAS to be the first facility to upgrade with the operating system eligible to be valid and register the material properly.

  • Install and activate Windows by using the OEM product key

I had some issues with UEFI on my system and went to a local store because there is no support for acer in my country and the guy local flash my bios to a version not uefi-uefi. I read in an article that the product key of my windows preinstalled has been in the bios. I used some how a VB script that I found on a Web site for my product which is activated key. (1) can I still use this product key? I run the recovery disk utility and made a usb key as well as the recovery partition recovery. (2) can I use the product key with the usb of recovery in the case where my left hard drive system are also formatted?

    Original title: product key

Why the BIOS was flashed to an older version?

There is no WIndows 7 OEM embedded product key so I don't know what that means.  I asked you to run two programs to compare the key OEM of Windows 8 - reported BIOS.  We aren't interested here in another key said except OEM BIOS.  They match?  If none is reported, then it was erased with the BIOS flash.

You can contact the technical support from the manufacturer to ask how to recover your key.

I don't think it will reactivate without the key included if you reinstall.

However when he is currently enabled so what I would do is follow Clean install Windows 10 Upgrade

in order to ensure the free update now before its expiration July 31, then you will have permanent right to the PC for Windows 10 in Activation of MS servers outside any key of WIndows 8.

First, you can do the installation to another partition, that you reduce c in Disk Mgmt, as long as you start the media during installation to select the new partition, then look after installation to see if it is active Windows 8 on the drive and if so feel safe remove Windows 8 when it is ready (or not).  Until then, use the Dual Boot menu at startup to choose.

That's what I would do in your place and the sooner the better.   If the built-in product key was wiped out during the BIOS flash and technical support from the manufacturer won't help you, your best bet is to secure free Windows 10 Upgrade for the rest of the life of the PC.  The link provides the best install and has not reported complaints in total tens of thousands of people have used it.

He wanted to transfer the machine to a parent, so doing a factory restore to 8.0. He brought to get me back to Windows 10. To save time, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and he pointed out activated. Now, a few days later he said that it is NOT enabled. After talking with Microsoft, I was told that I had to get the license key Windows 8.0 original of the motherboard anchored an entry like the license key to activate Windows 10. I have no idea how to get that key and reading that I've done, HP is not likely to be helpful on this. I even tried Windows 8.0 and 8.1 OEM key I have in stock, but they work no.  I'm open to suggestions and/or assistance on this.

OK, finally found a utility called RWEverything that will allow to recover the built-in license key. Windows 10 still wouldn't turn on, so had to communicate with Microsoft. With this key, they have been able to check and activate Windows 10 for my client.
