Activation of Windows 7 Home Premium says that this is not a valid code
My hardrive died a few weeks ago, and then I got a new hardrive and reinstalled windows 7 on it. that part is fine but every time I try to use my code he said is not a valid code and this issue is getting to be quite annoying.
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
5) stay on the phone (do not meet all the automatic guests) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your question clearly to the support person.

I want to install Windows 7 Professional. I ran the Windows Upgrade Advisor, and he told me that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate. Why not professional? Or is this correct?
You can still install Windows 7 Pro, but it requires a custom installation. This will remove all your programs (you will need to reinstall them), but you can save your files and settings to external storage before doing so.
If you want to make a place in the upgrade you will need Home Premium or Ultimate.
How to install Windows 7:
If you have Vista:
Update: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7
Custom installation: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7-custom
What Upgrade Options are available for Windows 7?
If you are running Windows Vista , in some cases you can proceed directly to Windows 7, and in other cases, you must perform a custom installation. The following table shows what editions of Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7.Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Business
Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
Windows 7 Ultimate
For more information, see upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 . (http://windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-vista )
You can't go from 32 bit to 64 bit, a clean install is required. If you have any questions about the upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit or vice versa, please see this FAQ: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

My Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit will make not a disk defragment!
My Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit will make not a disk defragment! Can anyone help?
"Disk Defragmenter is currently using custom settings created by another program."
RE - issue of Tom Ferguson - "computer maintenance program."
Including Norton or any of the other AV that has 'optimize' tools
It's may be in conflict with the Windows Defragmenter?"The drive has 318 439 Go free."
My understanding is Win7 Defragmenter needs 15% free space and you
are a bit lower than that.
Normally, you would get a message saying that you have enough free space, but
who cannot occur due to the other error message."Or is the only alternative-3 rd party software?
You can try AusLogics Disk Defrag, but still 15% needs to free up space.«Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall MS disk defrag»
You cannot uninstall or reinstall defrag Ms.
... Just a guess. If it were somehow corrupted you might replace the .msi file
with a new copy,.

2. press the Enter key on your keyboard.
3 select your country.
4 follow the instructions for the activation of the telephone (toll-free).

Activation of Windows 7 Home Premium Retail Version complete
Nice day...
I have a question of kwik on my Windows 7 Home Premium Retail Full Version. I didn't install it since July of 2013.
I bought it in May 2011, brand new at sears.com. During this period of May 2011 - July 2013, I had it installed
on, in total, 3 different offices computers (NOT at the same time... Still, I uninstalled Windows 7, as with all Microsoft OSs, before installing it
on another system). In July 2013, I upgraded my motherboard and I had more money I decided to buy another Windows 7
Home version Premium OEM full for this motherboard. Yes, for a little over a year, I had a 'spare' Windows 7 Home
Premium full retail version disk. I contacted Microsoft support by phone, chat, e-mail, etc. over the past
year to see if it is genuine. I have not kept a full track of results, but 'about' just less than
50% of contacted Microsoft experts say that it is authentic and about a little less than 50% say that it is authentic, BUT it must be
activated by phone. Unfortunately, some even said that it was genuine and non-genuine and that it is authentic,
I have to pay about $150 for one year of support. Who is not called a scam? The issue is, basically, can I use itdrive for the full retail Version that I bought it like?
It works perfectly, the product key is valid, but half Microsoft agents I spoke on this subject, although they all say that it is authentic, the other half say it is valid, but I have to pay a "tax of support" to activate it.
Have a great day!
....... Jimmy Nelson
Full retail version
Can be transferred to any computer and reactivated as long as it is removed from the previous computer, it is installed on.
OEM System Integrator
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
Some people have gotten the reinstalled and reactive without problems, it is just that, regarding the license agreement, his is not consistent.
As for the authenticity of the it, Yes, its true, how to use it is another matter. As noted by the above rules, if you have been move to different systems and motherboard, it is used in accordance with the license agreement. It does not have the same rights of transfer as the full retail version, you bought originally.
Another question would be, if these rules are applied? NO.

Someone used install Acer on that media. You must get your hands on some Dell support installation media/recovery, or purchase a new license for Windows. No other option if the COA sticker is unreadable.

Problems with Activation of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
I have a laptop which uses WIndows 7 Home Premium x 64, but the hard drive had a lot of problems that caused me to need to reinstall windows. I burned a disc using the filename of the picture from the Microsoft Web site and reinstalled windows, but my product key is an OEM, the key with no additional backup media and now Windows activation is not letting me to reinstall. The first characters in my key are invalid characters, according to activate windows, so I can't get to the stage where it gives me an option to call to the activation or obtain additional assistance.
What I have to give up this computer or can I get my OEM key work? I prefer not to have to buy a new key of windows if possible...You must have got orange proof of license label in your package
Product key labelThe product key label is a white or orange accompanying the installation CD/DVD and a certificate of authenticity (COA) for a product, which contains a 25-character product key. -
Activation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium that came with my laptop. After about 2 months, I had a constant black background with the message "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" in the lower right corner. Since I got a DVD, how can I activate my Windows. I use a DELL Inspiron laptop. I tried to ask DELL support by they said I must have Windows, so here I am.
Restore you your PC using the recovery partition (if it exists)? If so, you don't have to worry about activation.
But if you used installation media, use this product key in the label of the certificate of authenticity (COA) (now at the bottom of the laptop or in the battery Bay) to install Windows. This will activate the copy.
You can download Windows from the following links:
Alternatively, you can try the link below to order a new DVD of Windows:

Limitations of re-Activation of Windows 7 Home Premium OEM
I think about building a new PC Core i7 and Windows 7 Home Premium OEM license purchase. I understand that in the future, if I make significant material changes, such as the replacement of the motherboard or the CPU, I re - activate Windows 7.
My questions are:
1 - How many times can I re - activate Windows 7 Home Premium OEM as long as I install it on one PC?
2 are there limitations to the activation of the operating system, as the replacement of the motherboard, processor and hard drive at the same time?Thank you!
1. If you change the motherboard, it invalidates the OEM licensing all together.
-OEM versions allow all upgrades of equipment with the exception of a upgrade to a different model motherboard
The license is linked to the motherboard when its installed and active.2. by phone, then upgrade with wisdom.

The recovery 'hidden' Acer Partition should be left intact.
But you do not what you should have done when you bought your Acer machine; know-how in case of hard drive failure recovery disks.
Here is how to do this with an Acer:
"How can I create a set of the backup recovery disks?
http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/12866/kW/recovery%20disk
Your Acer computer includes Acer eRecovery Management software that allows you to perform operations of restore directly from your drive hard disc , which allows a faster recovery process and no need for discs. Acer eRecovery Management does, however, allow you to create recovery discs. The recovery disks will allow you to restore your computer something happened to your hard hard disk .
Note: According to Acer computer you have your Acer eRecovery Management version may be slightly different, but the ability to create your discs will be available.
To create your recovery discs backup follow these steps:
- Click on the Start menu, and then click all programs.
- In the list of programs, click the Acer file, and then click the Acer eRecovery Management .
- User account control Windows may request your permission to run this program, click Yes.
- In the Acer eRecovery Management window left click backup, and then click create a default disk factory.
Note: If you use a laptop or netbook, you will be asked to connect your power adapter, make sure that the power adapter is plugged in before continuing, and then click OK.
- In the page to create a default disc factory select the drive you want to use for burning the recovery media, and then click Start.
- The disc is ejected whenever he has completed burning, if several drives are required insert a new disc when you are prompted, and then click OK.
The other option available is to create drivers and Applications Disc. You can use this to create a backup disk to install specific drivers without destroying the entire operating system and applications.
To create a drivers and Applications disc, follow the steps below:
- Click create disk drivers and Applications.
- On the page create drivers and Applications disc select the drive you want to use for burning the recovery media, and then click Start.
- Whenever it has finished burning, the disc is ejected.
Note: If the computer does not have an internal optical drive, an external optical drive will create a set of Acer Recovery media.
See you soon.
